Is breastfeeding as a contraceptive method still effective even if I am tandem nursing my 2mos and 2yrs old babies?

ginabooboo - 753 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) uh...breastfeeding ISN'T a form of contraceptive at all

juels101 - 754 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Nope, I know a lot,now including myself who got pregnant very soon after giving birth while breast feeding and nothing elts. Not only can it happen, it can happen fast lol. I was exclusivly breastfeeding my middle daughter and got pregnant with my last 4mo pp.

RobinG - 754 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Nope ~ you can still get pregnant when BF ~ BF isnt a form of contraception, sorry ~

Heather12 - 754 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I don't know....but I would be afraid to try it.

mariettap - 754 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It depends on your commitment to exclusive, consistent, and frequent breastfeeding. Straight up facts on this method: http://www.kellymom.com/bf/normal/fertility.html

NinaBo-Bina - 754 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I wouldn't count on it

mina`smommy - 754 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My friend got pregnant accidentaly during breastfeeding. She was devestated.

Julianna - 754 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I surely wouldn't risk it! I've always been told that breastfeeding is NOT a form of contraceptive

louisec - 754 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i have been told it is only effective if you feed every 1-2 hours, and only for the first 6 mths. i was feeding every 3 and i became pregnant 11wks after my son was born, i had scant period 2 wks after the lochia stopped. so i ovulated pretty much immediately and im due in April. And im 45 next week. i would not risk it.
