Amniotic Fluid leak?

I`m 37w4d and last night I went to pass urine before going to bed. I have a bathroom downstairs and used that one. By the time I got upstairs to bed I felt very strange. I went to the bathroom up there and sat down on the pan. I felt a bit wet and went to wipe again, thinking I`d had a bit of a leak of urine whilst climbing the stair. Anyway, I soaked the toilet paper with a clear liquid. TMI Alert.... the paper was dripping with clear liquid, it was on my hand and when I looked at it it dripped on the floor. It didn`t smell like pee. It didn`t actually smell at all. I sat there in shock for a bit and then dried again and chatted to husband about it and went to bed a wee bit scared. About five mins later felt this urge to go pee again and went and had a long pee. This time I`m convinced it was pee, because it felt `normal`, whereas before it hadn`t. I`m not sure what went on last night. I`ve had no more, but I feel a bit like I have cystitis?? I feel like I could pee every minute. Any ideas on whether this is normal at this point? I`ve never had the increased urgency to pee thing in my pregnancy, and don`t know if this is what it is like, or if I leaked some fluid. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

♥PrincessR♥ - 744 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Good luck hun! This happened to me at 36 weeks - started leaking on the Tuesday, the Wednesday it was way worse (like every time I stood up) then I had my baby girl on the Thursday night. Baby dust!

anna85 - 745 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) agreed with yummymummy. You are over 37 wks so it could be your amniotic fluid. Better get it checked just in case because you don't want infection.

~YummyMummy~ - 745 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Best thing to do is book an appointment with your doctor, they should be able to do a simple urine test which should show nitrates in your urine if you have an infection. It sounds like a possible water infection but you are close to your due date and anytime now is normal so I'd call just to be on the safe side :))
