What ever you do do not get Mirena. I had mines for 4 years and had so many terrible side effects. lost hair, no sex drive that went away after it was out,35 pound weight gain that went away after it was out, large cyst on ovary that went away right after I got it out, and monthly body aches and pains that where flu like. I wouldn't recomend any birthcontrol other than condoms.

i used to use to nuvaring and i loved it!! you just put it in and take it out after 3 weeks have a period and put in a new one. it can be a little expensive but if your bad at taking a pill everyday like i was its definatly cheaper than a baby!! lol... also my doc would always give me free samples so you could ask about that. but i would def recommend the nuvaring it was easy....

I personally did not like my IUD. I had Mirena. I would have had in a year next month, but actually just got it taken out yesterday. I liked not having to take a pill, but I constantly had Bacterial Vaginosis which was disgusting. It was on and off and I never knew when it would flair up. Plus, I would just bleed whenever. My OBGYN has me on pills for 3 months to try and get my cycles straight. Then we are going to go from there. I don't know what to do either!

i personally i would not use any shot, pill or patch,i would tell my spouse/boyfriend to where a condom, there are so many recalls out there that is you get on birth control now in a month or so they may have a recall on it to risky for me,stay away from Yaz,Yasim,Ortho Evra, ocella, there are plenty more im sure, its your body but i would say no to it but what ever you choose i wish you luck

I was on the Depo Provera shot and literally bled for 3 straight months. My emotions were out of control - I spent an hour bawling because my dog didn't want to take a treat from me.

My suggestion is not to take the depo shot whatever you decide to do. If you can, get and IUD, i would suggest the Paraguard. I've had almost every birth control there is so if you have any questions you think I might be able to answer, just message me. Good luck!
