I am a BF mom of a 4 month old..I woke up this morning feeling really bad...I have a headache, chills, runny nose, coughing, sneezing, and having some bad body aches, not sure if maybe it could be mastitis? My breasts aren`t really hurting...I just feel aweful...should I call the dr anyway?

ams8663 - 730 days ago I just took my temp and its 100.4...I guess I will call the dr in the am just to be safe...

juels101 - 730 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Ugh just JUST went through this, though the tell tale sign for me was my boob began to really REALLY hurt, as if engorged, only it wasnt, and it was just on one spot. Then a red spot apeared where it was sore. I continued to bf from that boob as much as possible, emptying it often and it went away on it's own.

mariettap - 730 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Ugh,. sounds terrible. With mastitis, you'd feel most of that, but also an achey sore breast, and usually a bright pink blaze on the achey part of that breast, right along the path of an inflamed breast duct. If you've got any of that, get right on the phone with your OB, even after hours, who will have some self-care measures for you that can really help, and will want to see you in the morning if you have a fever.

Holly28 - 730 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It sounds like the regular ol' flu.
