I am 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant. Yesterday afternoon around 5pm, I went to the toilet, when I wiped, there was blood...i noticed 1 small spot on my underwear (around 1mm big). I put on a liner, wore overnight, woke up this morning with 1 spot, again around 1mm big. When i wiped there was still blood.. a brownish red colour. It is now nearly 4pm (nearly 24 hours) later, and ive had no blood on the liner ive been wearing all day today, still blood when i wipe, but not as much. What is going on here? I freaked outside last night when i saw the blood, and had a good cry.. ive looked on so many forums, and it seems like im having a threatened miscarriage. Can there be a small amount of blood, and it not be a threatened miscarriage, maybe something else... very late implantation bleed? (is 6 weeks too late) I will go to my doctor tomorrow and see. But my mind is just going crazy right now! :(

lhw312 - 1911 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my doctor called me today, he said my blood test from yesterday was normal (normal level of HCG), but today i bled more than i did at the weekend, still the same brownish colour though. Will have another blood test tomorrow, and another on friday to be sure.

lhw312 - 1911 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) well i went to the doc, he didnt know what was wrong, but sent me to have blood test and a scan (he wrote threatened miscarriage on the form), although he said because the blood was a brownish colour, i should not be too worried. So went for the blood test, which will test my HCG levels, and will have another one in 2 days to compare. The scan showed the pregnancy sac with the yolk, but no baby. She said I was not as far along as I thought, and that I was actually only 5 and half weeks, so that may be why she couldnt see the baby. She said its a good sign that the sac and yolk are there, but i am still very worried. After I get the results of the blood test, that will determine whether im still pregnant, and whether or not to go for another scan in a couple of weeks to try and see the baby. I hope everything is ok, but I just have a really bad feeling about this.

The doctor said they couldn't explain why I spotted, but my discharge papers said threatened miscarriage. The doctor told me that when there is any vaginal bleeding in the first 20 weeks they always say it's a TC. I wish you all the best of luck.

*happiestmommy* - 1912 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I bled for a day or two in my eighth week of my second pregnancy. My daughter is now a perfectly healthy 14mo old. I also suffered a miscarriage 2 years prior and I could definitely see a difference between the type of bleeding. The miscarriage was heavy period like bleeding w very painful cramps. I mean VERY painful. The bleeding I experienced w my daughter was light brown and hardly anything. Worrying and stressing will not help anything. Tell your Dr what you are experiencing and they will most likely give you an internal ultrasound to confirm or deny a miscarriage.

emmah921 - 1913 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had the same when i was 8 weeks was a friday and wipped and there was blood, same saturday morning and nothing saturday night and then some brown blood when i wipped on sunday went for an early scan on the tuesday and everything was fine said this some times happens, even got a wee picture of the baby im now 1o weeks :)

louise88uk - 1913 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) dont worry hun its only a small bit of blood. If u get scared u can buy a fetal doppler and it might make u feel better to hear the heart beat when ever u like b4 ur scan is due. I think u can use them from 6 weeks not sure though.

pazzara31 - 1913 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) That is so True what the ladys have wrote with trying not to stress out. I bleed with my son for 5 weeks straight, didn't bleed at all with my daughter and now I am 5 months and I finally stopped bleeding 3 weeks ago and I am pregnant with another boy. The doctor told to not stress out about it as long as the blood was light pink or brown, brown meaning it was left over old blood. She also told me if I am not filling up a pad then to not worry at all. She then reassured me with an ultrasound at 5 weeks to show me everything was okay and I saw the heart beat. Plus I saw that some women said it was normal to bleed and other said it is not. It all depends on your body and what your doctor tells you, because bleeding could mean something different with you and not to another. My suggestion is to make and appt with your OB and let them tell you wants really going on. Best of luck to you.

jerika26 - 1913 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It is possible that it's still okay. I bled regularly up until my 11th week or so with my first pregnancy. Maybe it's from sex. I also bled at 15 weeks with my third pregnancy and I'm having some pink discharge now at 12 weeks with my current (and 4th) pregnancy. Bleeding doesn't necessarily mean miscarriage just like the absence of blood doesn't mean a healthy baby either. You ought to take it easy if you can and try to get in to see the doctor so they can check it out for you. I hope everything is fine!

leslh - 1913 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) that happened to me at 6 weeks and again a at 10 weeks, just a pink spot then a brownish one....Im sure its not a big deal...I was freaking out too....just relax!! and talk to ur doc about it

mama2liv - 1913 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Ok I know it's hard but just don't automatically assume it's a miscarriage just as boomerette said. First it will TOTALLY stress you out which can actually cause a miscarriage if one isn't already happening! With my first pregnancy NEVER any blood every, every symptom and thing I saw was right out of the book. With this pregnancy...around 7 weeks I bled the first time...not soaking a pad bled but like yours and when I peed you could totally see I was bleeding in the toilet. Just so happens we were on vacation in another state so I was only able to call. He said we would make an appt for the day after I got back. Well after a week (we were on vacay 3 weeks) I bled AGAIN...totally freaking me out as we planned for this baby and so wanted him/her!!! I calmed myself down and my husband helped and I wasn't still bleeding so I reassured myself all was fine. Two days later, I bleed the most I have the entire least double what I had the previous two times. Call my Dr again and he tells me that I need to go have an ultrasound wherever I can, a facility that does them, ER anything asap and make sure there is still a heartbeat as this could be the beginning of one. We go and there is still a little flicker on the screen. I was so damn relieved. I am 27 weeks pregnant with baby girl #2 this very moment! Just do not stress, if it will make you feel better, call your DR and schedule an appt, go get an whatever you need to do to KNOW that your baby is okay. And if worse comes to worse prepare for what is to come. Good Luck!

annon312 - 1913 days ago i havent had sex in the past week, and this is my first pregnancy.. i hope the baby is strong enough too..

boomerette - 1913 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yes there can be blood and it NOT be a miscarriage. You just dont want it to turn into BRIGHT RED. If it is just brownish I wouldnt worry too much..that is old blood. Red Blood-so scary. I miscarried this past August and my mind went crazy. Glad you can see your dr soon. I know that some women have had a bit of bleeding after sex also...? I will be praying that this baby is a sticky one-for you!!!

annon312 - 1913 days ago i have also been having mild cramps in my abdomen and lower back.. no pain though
