Sharp stomach pain normal? Added: 833 days ago. Added by: niajhabenson Section: General. Status: This question is Closed. (Questions will be closed after 10 days.)
I`m 28 weeks pregnant and now i am having SHARP stomach pain on the top area of my stomach near the side. Mostly when i try to stand up, but now i`m getting the pain even while sitting down when i get up i have to bend over not to feel the pain as much. Is this normal? is it something i ate. this pain doesn`t feel like tummy ache pain so i don`t know , but i have to worry of course.

my pain was up on top of my tummy, more like band pain. no matter which way i moved or got up to walk, the pain stayed then it moved around to my back. my dr bleved it wud b my gall bladder, but it wasnt. turns out i had developed this pregnancy complication calld HELLP. pg women develope it n their 3 trimester usually show little or no signs of preeclampsia. i had shown no signs, i was 37w 2d n had to b induced, cuz delivery of the baby was the only cure. the pain was frm my liver.

I get that when my little one jams her bum there. I think our stomachs are there and she jams her bum into my stomach and it kills. But it could def be gas as well.

I remember getting sharp pains and I worried about it but it turned out to be trapped wind. I was once almost crying with it and then just belched really loudly. If you are at all worried though definitely speak to your midwife
