Ok so I am 26 weeks and havent started a registry yet cause I am so overwhelmed by how much some check lists say you should put on it! I dont like asking for things as is and putting everything on there they suggest seems like waaay to much to me so I was just kinda wondering if anyone had a good checklist or any suggestions of what is really necessary, I already have a crib and changing table from my boyfriends parents so I dont need that. I am planning on breast feeding and think asking for someone to doll out a couple hundred on a breast pump is a little too much but im not sure, im young so to me I feel bad asking...please help! my shower isnt till oct 2nd so i have some time but I dont want to be asking for too much

Kirstie - 656 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Go to SevenSlings.com and/or UdderCovers.com. 2. Click on "Shop Now" and select any baby carrier, nursing cover and/or breast pads you like. 3. Once you have made your selection, you'll automatically be directed to the shopping bag. Enter the promo code " Fit " and both companies have agreed to deduct 100% of the cost of the carrier or nursing cover - all you pay are the shipping fees! Remember: the promo code is " Fit " and you can use it more than once - just open a new browser window each time you do. Have a Great World Breastfeeding Week, feel free to pass this promotion on to your friends!

Kirstie - 656 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I found after 2 kids and now pregnant again.... I never used my changing table. I just bought a slightly used Brest pump from Ebay for $100 and it is normaly a nearly $400 pump. I have had the even flow one that was @$40 and it was ok just took a extreem amount os time to get much. I also got clothes super cheep from ebay! Things to put on your registry highchair, baby tub things that you will use daily and diapers! So mych of the stuff that is out there they get first time mom's to buy then you figure out you didn't need it and it just took space. If you don't want a registry do a shower that is gift cards and diapers or something like that. Socks are a constiantly disapearing thing here lol. Basics that I use Carseat Stroller Crib lots of onsies baby tub and accessories ie towles and wash cloths recieving blankets usually enough so you are ok for 3 days or so with our needing to do laundry daily. pasicifiers, bottles if you have a dishwasher a they have the things to put niples in them they are cheep and work great. baby wash/ care diapers, and agian clothing for several days without needing to do laundry. Keep in mind that you may need several outfits a day if they spit up. Diaper bag, and a diaper stacker of some sort. The rest I find can be fun but is not nessicary if you are trying to be cost effective. If you travel much a pack and play is great for family's house or camping theings like that. Ebay and garage sales are a neat way to get stuff cheep. My family asked if I would just put a list out by email of Needs first and wants second. They all shop different places. Excited for you! Have Fun being a mom is Awesome! Nursing is a great benifit to you and baby too!

angie2008 - 657 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Put anything you think you may want or need! People generally get what they want for you and always lots of clothes. Enjoy the moment that you do it :) It can also be a sort of check list for yourself so you know what to go back for after your shower.

brittany l - 657 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Also, believe me! It is WAAAAAYYYY easier to register in the store than it is online.

brittany l - 657 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) One tip about the breast pump, PUT IT IN YOUR REGISTRY! It may seem a little weird, but it's not. It is always good to have a pump on hand weather you are breastfeeding or not. Also, with Babies'R'Us, put anything and EVERYTHING you want in your registry. Reason #1- Most people buy clothes, blankets etc., it allows for people to get something different. #2- ANYTHING left in your registry, that you did not get for your shower, you get a discount off the items left. # The more stuff you put in there, the more options people have. If the items are too pricey for a guest/buyer, it gives them an idea of the 'style' or 'colors' you are looking for so they can find something similar but more in their price range.

Alisan - 657 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I agree with sweet t and liamandparkersmommy. Stuff like baby wipe warmers and are completely unnecessary. I got one and I never used it. Half the stuff I asked for I didn't receive. Hopefully you'll have better luck than I did. But when it comes down to it people get what they want to get not what you asked for. Ask for lots of wipes and diapers and big ticket items because those are what you'll be needing the most. Also make sure you put that gift cards are welcome. I put pacifiers on mine and my daughter didn't even use pacifiers. So that was a waste. Ask for the breast pump but with my first I was around so much a hand pump that I got from the hospital worked wondes. Now that I work full time and I'm going to have to leave baby with my mom I am getting a good automatic pump with the second baby. I never used my monitor and those can be a hit and miss because the quality is not that great. DO YOUR RESEARCH ON THINGS! Just because it looks cute or cool doesn't mean it works well. And finally what do you have room for. Don't ask for a swing and a pack and play and a bouncer if you don't have room for all of it. Those are my pointers to you. Good luck and have fun with that registry don't let it scare you. :)

meganjean - 657 days ago thank you ladies! I feel alot better now I had tried doing it online for babies r us and I was on there for like 4 hours! so im def just gonna go to the store and drag my boyfriend along for my 4 hr frustration payback because he told me to do it online hehe :) the only thing I still question is the breast pump because I feel weird asking someone to buy me a machine thats gonna massage milk out my lady lumps! idk im still a lil weirded out about that one and breast pads! so those I think and def gonna turn to me personally purchasing those things. Thanks again ladies I feel like I can breathe now and not feel guilty asking for things.

PreggoLady2424 - 657 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had the same dilemma! Im 20 weeks, and younger as well. I just did mine last night and at first i was really up and down about doing it cause i wondered the same thing, if people would think i was greedy. But once i started doing it and talking to the sales associates at the store was helpful. They will give you a checklist of some ideas to put on and suggest to put on alot of items at a range of prices so that people have options when the time comes to buying. I did some big ticket items (stroller/car seat, the crib bedding, a high chair), some medium things (bottle sterilizer, car seat covers, diaper genie), then i did small (toys, soothers, diapers, wash cloths, blankets, set that included a thermometer, nail clippers, comb). It ended up being fun. But i think its normal to feel overwhelmed. Plus, the stores like Babys r us give you little gift bags with lots of samples in it. It was fun looking through that after making the registry. Good luck and congrats!!!!!

RobinG - 657 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Put everything you want :) Even if its expensive. The bigger expensive stuff people will pitch in on together. People WANT to know what you want so they can CHOOSE from. You will not get everything so not to worry about putting to much. And if there isnt enough listed people will not have options so go down each isle and check all that you want :) I NEVER used a list, I got what I wanted, not what they told me to pick out. Many will reference the list and buy it someplace else or something like it :) Its your shower and its expected that you register so have fun and start registering!

liamandParkersMommy - 657 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Think of it as a wish list .. you may not get it all but it gives people ideas ... and totally put the big ticket items on there ... some people like to chip in and get a big item rather then alot of little things ...

sweet t - 657 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) put anything you want on your registry..from my experience, people buy you what they want to anyway, whether its on the registry or not :)

zem6 - 657 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) hun. If I were you I would just put a lot of things on your regestry. Even big ticket items. Because no one will think that you are asking too much and plus not everything on you list will be given to you. It will give them a variety of things to chose from and if one thing costs too much they will choose something else. Good luck and have fun in the stores!

~*MiracleX2*~ - 657 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had the same issue! Some of that can get expensive, & I felt bad for puting it on the registery. So, we bought the expensive things, like breast pump, crib, changing table etc... & then just registered for clothes, diapers, little essentials like bathtub, bedding & toys. It can be VERY overwhelming though! The things I couldn't have lived without were a boppy, battery operated nasal aspirator, burp rags, a good digital thermometer, The sleepers with a zipper, is so much easier than the snaps! especially when they start to squirm LOL, Good finger nail clippers. Another thing to think about is something like Aquafor for dry skin in the colder months. If I think of anything else, I will let ya know!! Congrats BTW!!
