I'm 5'6" and I was 206 when I conceived my little girl. I think it was only about three weeks after stopping the pill. so it's really just up to your body whether it's time for you to conceive or not. if you have issues, talk to your doctor. I'm sure you're not too overweight to conceive ;) good luck!

I have polycystic ovaries and have had 2 children and im pregnant with my third. Every time i have fallen pregnant i have lost about 20 kgs and fallen shortly after. My second daughter took 7 years to conceive because i had the extra weight on me and as soon as i lost it was preg. 18 months later as soon as i lost the baby weight i was preg again because i saw whe pattern then . I tell anyone who is having trouble and overweight to lose it and see wat happens. Good luck :)

We went to a fertility dr before we got pregnant and that was one of the first things I asked him, I'm almost 50 lbs over weight and he said my weigh is a non issue and he has women 2 times my size that still get pregnant.

It can affect your cycles, but if you have a fairly regular period I wouldn't think it would be too difficult. Of course, they do say it can take a year to get pregnant, and that's still considered normal. Honestly I think stressing about it is what really stops it from happening. I'm 36, and overweight, and we got pregnant the first month we actually got our act together and started to focus on trying :) Good luck!

My story is that it took me and my hubby 3 years to have our first baby. Before I got prego I was over weight and that caused my cycle to be off. I decided to stop trying SO hard to get prego and put all my efforts into myself and my body. I dropped 30lbs and stopped trying to get prego. As soon as I lost the weight I was pregnant with my DD. It all depends on your body and what the weight is doing to it. If your cycles are not regular then it "might" be from the weight. Can't hurt to try to lose it and see what happends:) Plus if you try to stop stressing over ttc it helps. I know its hard, trust me I have been there, but it really does work if you just stop trying so hard. As strange as that is. With my 2nd I told my hubby to not touch me the month of March cuz I didn't want a xmas baby. We had sex once that month and I got prego with my DS. This time around we were not even trying and I got prego! You are young and you have time on your side :) It will happen!
