Cervical pain 39 weeks pregnant

I`m 39 weeks pregnant and have been told by my midwife that my baby is well down into my pelvis now. Just the last couple of weeks I have started to feel sharp pains like he is butting up against my cervix when he moves sometimes and I just wondered if anybody else had also experienced this? I`m really tiny (4 foot 11 inches tall) and have found the last month or so of pregnany really tough, so I`m guessing that maybe my LO doesn`t have much room to move about in there anymore. I also had a show earlier this week, so I`m not expecting it to be too long before he arrives.

Davinataylor - 1356 days ago Thanks, ladies! I really appreciate your input and I hope that it won't be long before my boy arrives! I've had some more show this morning... Keeping my fingers crossed!

MommyOf3But4ToBe (*PINK*) - 1356 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I agree with mamamia6, i also experienced this in my last two pregnancies, and it hurts like heck. I visioned both of my boys with a pair of scissors cutting their way out of me... Shortly after the pains began, i had both my boys.. Congrats on your new little one, and Good Luck!!

mamamia6 - 1357 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) No Need to worry.. I've experienced those horrible pains all my 5 pregnancies!!! They are extremely painful and can stop you dead on your tracks... They feel as if the baby is trying to stomp it's way out!!! It's almost time, because every time that happened soon my water's broke.. Congrats!!!
