Yup, i was scared all the way right up until i held him in my arms, and even now im scared for him all of the time! Part of being a mummy i guess! Keep drs informed of whats happening and that you cant feel kicks, but dont stress too much, its pretty normal with 1st babies. maybe s/he is facing your back or perhaps its where the placenta is. I remember my cousin went for her 20week scan, she was terrified because she hadnt felt a single kick. Then all of a sudden her baby girl was on screen kicking away and the sonographer (sp) was like 'How can you not feel that!?' and still she couldnt! all was fine though, and im sure you will be too. good luck! x

Im still scared and this makes four for me i dont start feeling my babies till about 20-22 weeks last one was even later due to where my placenta was laying ...its natural to be scared try to relax nothing good comes from stressing :)

I am 24 weeks pregnant and only REALLY started feeling her about 2 weeks ago...before that I had about 2 weeks of very very very tiny kicks MAYBE once a day or every other day. But I didn't start feeling ANYTHING at all until about 20 weeks...(again, even then it was hard to even tell if it was her or not!)

This is completely normal. First with it being your first, you will probably feel kicks later, your stomach muscles are tighter and a lot of times, it's so faint in the beginning, first time mom's don't realize what they're feeling. Also, I felt my 3rd the latest, around 22 weeks because I had a front lying placenta and he had to get big enough for his kicks to be felt through the placenta before I could feel him. And that made me nervous because I knew I should have been feeling him sooner. It wasn't until my u/s that I finally relaxed :)

The other ladies are right, it's nothing to worry about. It could be because its your first, it could be the position of the baby or placenta (its harder to feel movement if you have an anterior placenta or the baby is positioned toward your back), or even just that it's still too early yet. I'm sure everything will be fine and your appt on Monday will be reassuring to you! Good luck and I hope you start feeling your baby very soon!

Generally with your first pregnancy you will not feel movement until later. In pregnancies after that you will generally feel them sooner, but i think its because you already know what it feels like. I am pregnant right now, but have been pregnant before, and even in the beginning when the baby would move, i was not quite certain if it was my baby or not. So try not to stress, after awhile, your little ones movements may very well wake you up while sleeping, or just keep you up... :o)

With my first I didn't start feeling movement until after 21 weeks and even then it wasn't constant.
