Toddler needs front tooth pulled- any experiences??

So my son tripped and fell playing basketball and hit his upper gums and teeth on a concrete step. He pushed back is top two front teeth. One tooth came forward on its own but the other hasn`t. Dentist said it needs to be extracted. My son is only 3 and I can`t imagine him without his front tooth for almost 5-7 years. I`m scared his bubbly personality will change. Any moms with experience with their toddlers needing teeth pulled early? How long did it take for the adult tooth to come in. Did you get a spacer? Thanks!!

xmvmommy - 329 days ago Thank you so much for your reply. I have been very emotional over this (my pregnancy hormones may be making it worse)... thinking that my son will go through his first few years of school without his front tooth and worrying about him becoming shy, which is something he is not! I just really needed to hear a positive story... and this has helped ease my emotions... thanks!

2girlz1boy - 330 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My daughter fell when she was one and her front tooth came out on its own, The dentist did not want to do anything else to her mouth so she was with out her front tooth untill the grown one came in at age 7. She remained the same a happy friendly little girl and the other children did not even notice her tooth was gone once she started preschool so i say not to panic and the dentist knows whats best for your lil one.
