6 weeks pregnant im 38,high blood pressure and overweight worried about baby...anyone else going through the same thing?

Debra - 326 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i hope that when your baby is born, you can take the time to focus on you and get healthy for you and your precious family! Take care and talk to your doctor about diet and exercise during pregnancy. Stay away from high salt/ fat foods. Your ideal weight gain should be below 20 lb for this pregnancy if you are overweight to begin with. Swimming in a pool is an awesome form of pregnancy exercise.

kristy rose - 326 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) hi hun - what does your doctor say? I would be more worried about your high BP that being over weight .. ALOT of mum-to-be are overweight & they still have healthy pregnancies. I for one am over weight but i dont have high BP.

Wilkinrebecca - 326 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Thank you angie n pooh. I will for sure keep you posted, I have technically only had 2 prenatal appointments but had spotting and cramping on other occasions which is why I have been seen 4 times. This will be my first appointment with ob on Thursday I'm excited to see him again. I hope they can keep your blood pressure down for you and you have a good pregnancy.

angie n pooh - 326 days ago god lck wilkinrebecca!!! keep me posted i only had 1 doctor appointment so far go back july 13th my pressure was good at first appointment i get chest pains, but ob and primary doctor think its more gastrial

Wilkinrebecca - 326 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I am also 38, 17.3 weeks pregnant and have seen doc 4 times, every visit has been high blood pressure. I am also overweight. My doctor told me not to do too much right now and I am at risk of partial if not full bed rest, I have 4 kids already one that is 5 I can't imagine being on bed rest but will have to do what is best for baby and myself. I will be seeing my ob Thursday and see what he says. Hope my blood pressure has gone down but let's face it my life is far from stress free. Good luck to you
