Okay so. I`m sure you read about my problems I`ve been having. Yesterday about 6:00pm I started having these feelings of contractions, they were coming every 15 mins, by the time I got into the hospital at 8:30 they seemed to be closer, especailly by the monitor they had me on. I was also really sick, I just had this nausea feeling come over me instantly and barfed everything I ate that day up. The doctor check my cervix and said it was `prolonged` and I wasn`t dialated and then told me I wasn`t in labor and was probably dehydrated. Today I got a bad case of the diarreha, It was only 3 or 4 runs to the bathroom and I was fine, I also started feeling very sick but didn`t throw up. But now feeling ALOT of pressure and it hurts to sit down or walk. But the doctor told me lastnighht she wasn`t engaged. I too had contractions around 3 and subsided over time but this cramping is still here. Help me out with this because I am so confused on what is going on with me.

ShaunaMarie - 356 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You had them! You just didn't feel them. They are "preactice" contractions. It's our bodys' ways of prepping. Make sure you are drinking tons of water. I would drink 6 16.9 oz bottles of water a day. When it was hot (I was pregnant alllllll summer, and living in Cali.), I would drink even more. Now that I'm breastfeeding, I drink even more or I get dehydrated. You can start.nesting and feeling "ready" weeks before you go into actual labor. I know you're anxious to meet ub, but take this time to get ready, and spend some quality time with hubby!

Sweetbabylove - 356 days ago Thanks Shauna. I haven't been eating nothing different and have been drinking LOTS of fluids. I did tell me OB but they really are assuming and not looking into it. I know I don't have a uti because I get tested each week I go in and just got done being treated for one a month ago. If these are braxton hicks they really suck lol. I never had them with my other two.

shaunamarie - 356 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) diarrhea causes dehydration. dehydration causes contractions. Contractions can make you feel nauseous. You sound like you have a virus or some sort of infection. Did you eat something that didn't agree with you? Are you having trouble urinating? Drink lots and lots of water. If you aren't able to hold anything down, you should see your ob. They should also test you for a uti. I've never heard of a prolonged cervix unless he meant that it was elongated. Best wishes. You are almost through!! At 37 weeks, you should be having "normal" braxton hicks. These are what will soften and dilate your cervix.
