my husbands says to make sure he shaves himself before he goes otherwise the nurse has to do that for you and that could be totally awkward! hahaha, apparently that means it wasnt a big deal as far as the actual proceedure goes. he was only off work for the weekend and sore for about a week. no biggie

My husband had it done about 2 years ago. He was pretty sore for the first few days. He put a frozen bag of veggies on him to help with pain/swelling. after that he has been fine!

I was just repeating what one of the ladies told me. His doctor told him that he had to wait a week before sex. I want my husband to get the snip too, but that will be a ways away since we are just starting to create our family :)

One of the ladies I know husband just got it down. He said that they first put a numbing patch on, then after he got a shot of more numbering medicine. Then it felt like the doctor was pulling on it. Pain wise...he said it felt like he got kicked in the nuts. Afterwards at home, he has been keeping a pack of ice on it. Tomorrow he is going to be sore and same with the next day, but after that the soreness goes away. Oh and he can't have sex for a whole week after

My husband had it done and it happened to be a horrible experience. It is usually a quick thing, but the dr had a hard time accessing the tubes. But what really was the worst part was he got an infection in his scrotum afterwards. But it was hard to know since you can't tell the pain from the surgery vs infection. He is borderline diabetic so that may be why he got an infection. I would just make sure your husbands get an antibiotic afterwards. It hurt my husband for months. But after that and we got the all clear, life's been worry free!!
