which wive tales are true?

ok so ive been looking on the wife tales websites and heres what ive found out and id like to hear ur opinions on them to see which are true and what are just myths.... first one is the heartbeat higher girl lower boy? for me its not right cuz my sons was high second one is if boys are clingy then its a girl and if a girl is clingy it means a boy? right with my son and if it is true im having a girl cuz man ever sincce ive been prego my son has stuck to me like glue! third one is if you prefer your left side more to sleep on it means boy and girl for the right side..worked with my son..hmmm 4th one is cravings.. if you crave salty and meats its a boy and for girls it sweets and citrus..well didnt work for me cuz i loved sweets with my son! and spicy but with this baby i cant drink milk or eat diary and i hate spicy food lol 5th one is if you have heartburn or indegestion your baby will have hair..worked with my son so 6th one is if your more agressive during the concieving it will be a boy and if the guy is it means a girl? worked with my son..and the dad this time was agressive so we will see 7th one is how you carry the baby..high girland low boy..my son was high and this babys low? 8th one is the chinesse gender chart..was right for my son and this time its saying girl..but if you go on a couple different websites they say the oppissite sometimes so who knows haha 9th one is the wedding ring test swings in a circle girl and boy swings back and fourth? and the last and final one is Acne during pregnancy is caused by hormones, not the sex of your baby. However, many believe that if you have an increased amount of acne during pregnancy then it means you are having a baby girl. any opinions will be greatly appreciated :]

MichelleMc(pink!) - 325 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) The only old wives tale that may have SOME truth to it is morning sickness indicating a girl- apparently, pregnancies that are carrying girls give women morning sickness slightly more often than boys. That being said, I'd never use it as a reliable indicator of your baby's gender, as we all know that women carrying boys can get sick, too.

Prefer my right and it's a boy 4) Not true. Sweets and it's a boy. 5) Not sure. 6) Ermm lol. Could be true. I was definitely aggressive in conceiving this boy ;) 7) I carry my boys high 8) Not true. Didn't work for me either time. 9) Haven't done with this pregnancy but wasn't right last time. 10) Maybe? No increased acne and I'm having a boy. Good luck!

None of the other tales have been true for me except this.. I have 5 kids and this is totally true.. LOOK AT THEIR HAIRLINE! if it's straight you will have the same sex as the last, but if it comes to a point then the sex will be different! =) My first was straight (boy), 2nd point (boy), 3rd point (girl), 4th straight (boy), and 5th was (boy) not too sure about his hairline yet but didn't bother to check either since I don't plan on having any more LOL

shia2132 - 327 days ago thats crazy! with my son i loved veggies but with this baby i dont like certain ones! like the smell of broccli makes me sick! and brussel sprouts too haha! i hated meat with my son but this one its alright every now and then so wow pregnacys are crazy!

frenchie23 - 327 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) The heart beat one is right for me, my daughter's was always higher and my my son (currently 35weeks) always lower, the Chinese gender predictor was wrong with both, heartburn were moderatewith DD, she had some hair, this time I'm DYING from heartburn and I will see in a few weeks how my son is lol, I'm carrying the same way but only gained 12 pounds so far, gained 80 with DD :S .... I'm bigger this time around, measuring 3weeks ahead.... Craving wise, I couldn't stand meat with DD, craved sweets and started hating Brussels sprouts (which I loved before) this time around I have no food aversion, but I could eat poutine at every meals if I could lol, I didn't get morning sickness with her, did with him... I had beautiful skin with her, bad pimples with him lol....

I have never had heartburn, with this pregnancy or the last, and my daughter was born with a full head of hair! And the acne one was the complete opposite for me. I had great skin with my daughter but with my son my face was completely broken out :(

My daughter and the baby girl I'm currently expecting have been in the 135-145 range. 2) Clinginess, When I was pregnant with my 1st daughter my son was super clingy. With this one he wasn't anymore clingy then normal but my daughter seemed to be so it was right and wrong. 3) I have always slept on my right side more then my left with all my pregnancies. I try to stay on the left since they say its better but I am more comfy on my right side, this one was wrong. 4) I craved meat and sweets with my son, with my 1st daughter I couldn't even look at meat. I wanted mostly fruits. With this one I wanted meats and fruit. So sort of right. 5) I know a lot of people that have terrible heartburn and bald babies. I usually suffer horribly from acid reflux and my kids are born with lots of hair, I'm pretty sure that is just genetics though. 6) Don't know how this one would have anyway of predicting the gender. I can't remember who was more agressive when mine were conceived. 7) I carried my son all up front, looked like a basketball under my shirt, with both my girls I gained weight all over and carried them low. 8) The chinese gender chart has been right for all of mine but there are different ones you can go by. The one on this site has been right whereas one from another site has always been wrong. 9) It said my son was going to be a girl but was right with my daughters. 10) Acne. I had it bad with my son, but not as bad with my girls. So you really can't say that any are 100% its more of a coincidence, however they are fun do to and to take a guess. I find that the mothers intuition is more accurate then anything else.

brittany l - 327 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have a 4 year old boy, an 8 month old girl, and im 28 weeks with another boy.... So... Heart rates- all 3 of my pregnancies the heart rate has been the same range. The clingy doesn't really mean anything besides the fact they know another baby is in there. Sleeping on either side- All 3 of my pregnancies I just wanted to sleep on my back (I HATE sleeping on my back normally), but as far as which side.. I slept on both sides. Cravings- With my 1 st boy I ate alot of spicy AND sweets, with my daughter I ate sweets, with this boy, I am eating fruit & sweets. Heartburn- I didn't have much heartburn with my daughter (only had it the last few weeks because the pressure on my stomach), but I had it horrible with my son... and my son had a lot of hair, but my daughter had more hair... so You really can't go by any of these!

With my daughter I was carrying low and craved meat gained weight all over and slept on my left side. This time around with my son I am carrying high and craving fruits and vegetables spicy and sour. My daughter is being super super clingy. I can only sleep on my right side and have only my pointy belly lol. My daughter's heart beat was always in the 150's and this time its always between 120-135. I don't know if that helps any :)
