Check out www.spinningbabies.com. Breech babies can turn as late as during labor. Do your research and if you don't want a c-sec, find another OB or a midwife. Other sites that might be useful: http://birthwithoutfearblog.com/2010/10/29/breech-babies-is-another-variation-of-normal/ and http://pregnancy.about.com/od/breechbabies/a/breechbabies.htm

Having a breech baby definitely does not automatically mean c-sec!
Do your research!

My son was breech at 22 weeks and by 33 weeks he turned right way. I heard they can still turn up until about 32-34 weeks, then it becomes unlikely after that

My friends baby was breech until the day of his birth, so it can and more then likely will since you still have a ways to go. My son was head down at 20 weeks and stayed the whole time, with this pregnancy my little girl is breech at 25/26 weeks. Only time will tell, but I am getting a c-section.

I had the same problem and I am a VBAC so I was very concerned. The midwife told me to spend time on my knees with my chest down and my butt up in the air to help the baby to turn. I did that and found it quite uncomfortable so I couldn't do it as much as she said but my baby DID turn!! I heard that crawling around on hands and knees also encourages the baby to move.

Most babies stay breech until 32-36 weeks... Right now I don't know how Dr. could say baby is "breech" since at 26 weeks they are turning somersaults every two seconds in there. I had a stubborn man who wouldn't turn, Dr. even admitted me to hospital and did an "external version" (pushes on the outside of my belly to force baby inside to turn). It didn't work and I had scheduled c-section 10 days later. Turns out, his cord was around his neck twice... Trying to deliver him vaginally would have turned into an emergency c-section, so I am glad we didn't attempt a breech vaginal (although my Dr. offered). Honestly, next baby I will just opt for c-section. I already have the scar, my lady bits are intact, had no issues with breastfeeding, I had a wonderful experience with the scar healing, and no trouble with postpartum sex... Either way is hard and has its upsides and downfalls. I wouldn't worry about it for at least another 2 months though!

I agree with the other ladies that there is still plenty of time. My son didnt move into position until almost 33 weeks. Also, this may be out there, but you can google how to get a breech baby to turn and there are some pretty amusing suggestions (that I may or may not have tried). My doctor convulsively laughed when I told him I put frozen veggies on top of my stomach and a flashlight at the bottom using the theory the baby moves away from the cold and into the light. LOL! Still dont know what I was thinking at tha ttime, but hey he turned :)

You still have plenty of time but you should always mentally prepare/educate yourself on birthing options outside of your plan. Sometimes our little ones are stubborn and dont always stick to our birth plans lol

Yeah just google it...you will see that babies in that position usually change much closer to the due date...even by like 32 or 33 weeks...my baby was breach as well around 20 something weeks and my doc said, "oh there is plenty of time don't worry"..and I said, "I'm having a c-section" and she said, "oh yeah" lol..but for you, give it some time!
