our son is 4 weeks old and yesterday we had sex for the first time. i had him via a planned c-section. So they did not touched me down there they did for the catiter only so i want to ask why did it hurt so much? It was like sharp pain. This happened when i had dd too but that time i tried vaginally and ended up emergency c-section. So i thought that was the reason that it hurts but now i do not know the reason. Is it normal?

The urinary tract is a very small hole when inserting a foreign object into there it can cause inflamation and sometimes can be hard to get and with my second my medications had worn off and I will say it isnt pleasant on removal. This can also cause pain during intercourse. Might be an idea to just see what your doctor says about it too.

frenchie23 - 313 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I was told I had the okay to have sex as soon as I stopped bleeding after my c-section.... I still waited about 7-8 weeks cuz I'm a chicken and was too worried lol...

agape - 313 days ago Thanks everyone for your replies. We just did it very gentle but still it hurts. I will surly wait more to try again and after all i am not a person who finds it that difficult to wait cos usually i am rearly in the mood. Lol.

memer - 313 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I believe that the standard recommendation is that you wait 6 weeks for a vaginal delivery and 8 weeks for a c-section before you have sex. Maybe you could try some other gentler sexy alternatives if you really are "in the mood". I agree that you need to rest. You lost blood, your body's been depleted of its reserves, so it takes longer to heal anyway, I bet.

Debra - 313 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) you need to rest. I had pain for weeks after my c/s. I think its a normal for most people. Its a sign to rest and take it easy- sex involves abdominal activity and after surgery, you need to rest for 6 weeks. No heavy lifting, no house cleaning and that should include sex. You do NOT want to burst open your wound again. Its also wise to avoid sex so you don't get pregnant again too soon. Make sure you use birth control so you don't get pregnant too soon and cause too much stress on your body.

yayfornumber2 - 313 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yes---what kristy said----you had MAJOR abdominal surgery!!! I was weary to have sex after the 6 weeks the doc told me! I started bleeding like CRAZY when I walked on the treadmill FIVE weeks after my c-section! Yes, take it easy, follow doctors orders, and give your plenty of time to heal!

kristy rose - 313 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) you've had major surgery. You may feel 100% on the outside but your insides are still tender. It will take anywhere up to 6 months to fully recover from a c section. I have had 4 c sections. It takes alot out of you darl. Just take it easy x
