pinksx33 - 277 days ago Thanks ladiess :) i guess the problem is the flanges because my nipplee do rub on the sides & it reallyhhurts..I'll try a bigger size and hope it works

lilyxox19 - 278 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) A lot of women need bigger size flanges then what comes with the pump. Best bet is have a lactation consultant watch you as you pump. And they can tell you what size to get. Or simply buy a bigger size and try it out. Also what setting strength do you have the pump at. I know a lot of women think they have to put the pump on at full strength which is false. For me, the best setting was in the middle--got the most milk out without making my nipples sore. As for the healing, make sure you put lanolin on after every pumping and nursing session until your nipples toughen up, and also try to keep your boobs hanging out throughout the day (the air helps heal any cracks or bleeding).
