Pink discharge

A couple weeks ago, I had brownish and pink discharge, cramping, and contractions. Went to labor and delivery and found that I was having contractions every 2-3 minutes. They have me medicine to stop the contractions, the steroid shots to develop baby`s lungs, but never told me why I may have been bleeding, except that I needed to take it easier, especially when it came to picking up my 20 mo old. I woke up this morning and have some more pink spotting. I`ve had a couple of contractions, but nothing major, just bh. I`m reluctant to go back to the hospital because I`m sure they`ll just monitor me and then send me home, and I don`t have anyone to watch my son. I can feel the baby moving, so I know she`s ok. Just wondering if anyone else experienced this and what was the cause? I am 28 weeks and there has been no recent sex. Thanks!

canadababy - 1024 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You probably should have gone in. BH and real contractions can feel the same, only difference is realcontractions cause you to dialate, and you wouldnt know if you were dialating unless you went in and they checked you.

girl from ab (erin) - 1024 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) 24 weeks is viable so ues 28 weeks is very viable and in fact a good friend just had her 28 weeker last week and baby is doing very well, breathin on her own. She is in the Nicu and will be there for 2 or 3 months but very viable. Dont let anyone scare you! The pink discharge could be because of the contractions or if the did an internal exam can cause spotting

twins again - 1024 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Not to seem like I m correcting anyone, but babies are very viable at 28 weeks. I know a couple of people who had 28 weekers. Viability starts at around 24 weeks. That said you need to just bring your son along or something. Premature labor is very serious. So please at least call your dr. Update us on how you fair.

At least right now you can stop the labor. Once it progresses too far, you can't. I had a baby at 23 weeks. I didn't get the warning signs you did.
