Stabbing and throbbing of the hips....does not feel like Sciatica. They hurt so bad I can hardly walk anymore or move around in bed. Does not travel down my legs but is a constant pain
Treatment or advice:
I was given Darvocet for the pain but I am scared of the risk to my child. So, I usually take them at night right before bed to try to get relief when the pain gets to be unbearable

I woke up yesterday morning with this sharp stabbing pain in my right lower back, top of my buttocks region. I limp b/c putting any pressure on it is so painful! And I don't think it's Sciatica, b/c it doesn't radiate up or down, it's just a consistant pain that feels like I have a knife stabbed in my back.
I've had back pain since 2004. Now it seems to get worse and almost unbearable. I hope this doesn't affect me and the baby too much as I don't want to be bed ridden.
Treatment or advice:
I try and lie down in the fetal position with a pillow between my legs. It helps sometimes.
I'm having a painful jabbing feeling in my lower hip when I walk or lay down. I'm also in early preterm labor, and had to have a turb shot two days ago to stop contractions.
