Discomfort: Rib Cage

Discomfort:I began to notice that my rib cage became increasingly sore after sitting for about 25 minutes or more. I called my doctor and was told it was COSTACONDRITAS, (rib joint inflammation). It is caused by ribs being bruised - I have apparently had it since my first child (19 years ago), but because I hadn't gaind this kind of weight until now, I didn't know it.
Treatment or advice:If you are PG there really is no medical treatment. You can take Tylenol to help relieve the pain, I have not, trying not to take any type of medications. I do use a heating pad at night and ICY HOT during the day. I try to get up and walk every 15 minutes to reduce the discomfort. That's about all you can do.

Discomfort:I have been having a sharp pain in my left chest for a couple of days. I noticed it after doing some general cleaning...so I am guessing that I might have pulled something. It is constant and will not let up. It really hurts when I breathe, talk, cough, everything. I have tried a heating pad, tylenol, rest..help!

It was heartburn..my doctor told me to take zantac 150 twice daily. And continue to take it until the babe is born. It took the pain away the next day and hasn't been back.

Discomfort:It usually only happens when I lay on the left side but can also happen when I am just sitting too. It feels like a burning sensation in my rib right under my left breast and it doesnt happen to the side at all.
Treatment or advice:I brought it up to my doctor and they said it may just be all my organs being pushed up but it is very uncomfortable.

I have had left side rib pain since 15 weeks. It's more annoying then anything. I have equated it to the expansion of my abdomen pulling on the insertion point of the abdominal muscles which attach around there. Slouching definetly makes it worse!

I think my case is very similar to yours. It's not so much a pain as it is an annoyance I guess. It feels like a numbing...or burning sensation right under my left breast. It's right about where I think my heart is! It feels almost as if my heart is being smushed up against my torso and being squished or something. If I am slouching a bit it is normally more noticeable too. It is driving me nuts!! I asked my mom and she said it was probably just because everything is getting pushed around and there isn't a whole lot of space for things...including your heart...to go. It's been mostly happening the last week or so and I am in my 30th week.

Discomfort:A stabbing pain in my ribs that can sting really bad if the baby is pressing against it, or if I sleep on it for too long.
Treatment or advice:I am now 38 weeks and I think the baby might be still breech and so the hardness of her head might be the culprit, but I am not sure. What helps is changing position or sitting straight up and standing up with my arms stretching over my head to try and lift my ribs a bit - but the relief is short lived. The only real remedy for this is not having her in there I believe! But in the mean time, keep as much strain off the area as possible.

Discomfort:The pain is unbearable. If i lay on my left side it feels like burning/cramping/or tightening. If it is pushed on i will feel this sensation right through to my shoulder blade. The pain will wake me and make it impossible sometimes to get comfortable.

Discomfort:For some reason this month, my breasts seem to not appreciate my bra. My bra isnt tight, I dont get hot in it either, but for some reason I started to itch quite a bit underneath my boob. I take showers and my bras are clean, Ive even tried different types of lotions and creams to put under there, but it seems there is a `rash` or something developing there. It itches so much.

Discomfort:I have like this `buzzing` feeling under my left breast...feels like I have literally swallowed a bee :-) It's like a tiny constant vibration and the area feels bruised and sore when you touch it. You can't see anything from the outside and it's mainly when I sit up or slouch. It's very uncomfortable
