| Seriousness: | Quite bad |
| Discomfort: | I keep getting dull pains that come and go but with it comes a warm hot tingly sensation. I cant explain it any better than that but it makes me feel like there may be something wrong with my kidney, who knows doc doesnt listen to me when I try to talk to him about it. The feeling may be dull but it still hurts and it worries me because kidney failure runs in my family. |
| Treatment or advice: | Laying on the side where it hurts feels a little better. The pressure helps and sometimes if I dont think about it the pain goes away. Also a heat pad or icy hot works but only for a little while. |

| Seriousness: | Quite bad |
| Discomfort: | It's a dull ache from time to time whiich gets bad at work because the chair i'm using isn't comfortable. My whole lower back is sore for most parts of the day, i even have to take pain killers (prescribed) to relieve the pain. |
| Treatment or advice: | The doctor said i should rest more and if the pain gets a bit much, i should take the pain meds. I normally sit up straight to ease the pain at times it works but up to a point where i get tired then i slouch. |

| Seriousness: | Annoying |
| Discomfort: | It feels like a trapped nerve, it's not very painful, unless I make a bit of a twist or turn, however, it is constant, low down & kind of dull. In the mornings it is much more achey. It radiates outward to the side of my hip and occasionally feels like its on the left of my spine. It's generally annoying and does not feel like pre AF back cramps which I hardly ever get anyway. |
| Treatment or advice: | Warm bath eases it. Extra pillow behind my back sitting at the computer. |

| Discomfort: | I've had back pain since 2004. Now it seems to get worse and almost unbearable. I hope this doesn't affect me and the baby too much as I don't want to be bed ridden. |
| Treatment or advice: | I try and lie down in the fetal position with a pillow between my legs. It helps sometimes. |

| Seriousness: | Quite bad |
| Discomfort: | I have gotten random, infrequent backpain attacks all over my lower back area for a litte over half of this pregnancy so far. Most of the time it feels like annoying cramping, and sometimes I think it would be the cause of the front tops of my thighs cramping up as well (so much that it almost felt weird to walk, and that I should sit down). Just the other night, I had a most severe attack of this cramping, where it was actually a lot worse than the other times, and mainly directed on my right side, just above the right side of my pelvis, and shot down into the back of my leg with the entire cramp. I was sitting on the couch, and it was almost unbearable even just sitting, it felt like I pulled a muscle or something, so I tried switching positions- that helped a little bit, but I pretty much just had to wait about 20 minutes to half hour for it to go away on it's own. Anyone else have this issue? Is it a pinched nerve or something? This is my 4th pregnancy (the other 3 were miscarriages at about 2 - 4 weeks along), so needless tosay, this one has gone a lot farther than the last at 9 weeks yesterday. Please, any feedback would be appreciated! |

| Discomfort: | I thought I had a kidney infection or stones, it hurt where my right kidney is. |
| Treatment or advice: | turns out there is no infection or stones. they said the baby maybe putting pressure on the ureter which the urine flows through and backing it up causing this pain. |
