Discomfort:	i keep having pretty intense cramps just like menstration...its painful and scary...expectially this far along...plus i do have bleeding too..but the hospital when i called told me not to worry...but thats hard to do...
Treatment or advice:	i was told to try extra strenth tylenol and get a maternity belt for support...

Discomfort:	Sharp pain then goes into dull ache that never goes away.
Treatment or advice:	I went to my OB and baby's heartbeat is in the 160s. This is my 3rd baby so he is not sure if it is something or not. He gave me some meds to help me sleep last night. (Slept like I had no kids in the house) Just drinking alot of water and keeping feet up

Hi, I am 13 weeks 5 days. this is my 3rd baby as well and I am having the same pain. I talked to my midwife and she said it is growing pains. Sometimes the pains are so bad I can't stand up straight. My baby's heart rate is in the 160's as well.

Discomfort:	sharp and dull pain, heaviness in my pelvic region and on my left side. It's pretty much constant although lying on my side with a pillow between my legs seems to relieve some pressure

I have had the same condition. From around 12 weeks into my 2nd pregnancy I had a pain in my pelvic area so severe I put off telling people I was pregnant as I feared I would miscarry. I walked with my legs together for the next 6 months and could only take baby steps due to the pain. As walking or lying down was painful I liked to sit a lot. My doctor told me it was normal but I didnt experience anything like this the first time around. Later in my pregnancy it got so bad that I would walk with a limp. I went on to have a healthy baby but when the pain didn't go away a year later, I started seeing a chiropractor. I was advised that I had been(and still was) suffering from an inflammed pelvic bone. the condition is called Osteitis Pubis and is generally found in football players. Something keeps inflamming the area and pelvic floor exercises and putting an ice pack on the pelvic bone (under your stomach, not between your legs) does help. Hope this helps someone because I wish I had known (and managed) the condition during my pregnancy....

I am 14 weeks along now and have had ligaments pulling and pelvic pressure, i fee like I need to sit down with my feet up so the baby won't fall out! I find that if I eat light weight high calorie foods it helps because it takes weight off my uterus.

I have been having this problem also for about the last 5 weeks or so. My Doc. tells me its normal also, that its your hips becoming dilocated getting ready for the baby to come out. All I know is that it hurts like crazy!! My tail bone pops all night when I change positions, or get out of the bed. Its loud and painful!! Doing normal things seem to set it off also, like sweeping or vac. I feel all of yours pain..

I have pain in my lower pelvic area, like under my abdomen. It's really hurt, and sometimes it feels like it's going to drop. I am 5weeks old, and it seems that it's normal, cause others are havinf the same systom, but can someone tell me how to deal with it?

I have the same discomfort on my left side, it hurts bad. i do the pillow thing and it seems to give me some support. Doctor said it was ligament pain or that my uterus is growing.

sounds like you should ask your doctor about symphis disfuntion. I have it through three pregnancies, and its possible to get a support belt/treatment. This can get very painful and its really important to try and get help soon as otherwise it will get worse.

I was just reading about the pain some of us are having in the pelvic area. I think I have it as worse as it can get, my pelvic bone pops! It has been doing that since I was 8wks pregnant. Sometimes it gets sooooo bad that I can't walk. When I was pregnant with my youngest son in 2005 I had to crawl up the stairs in my house because of the pain. The doctor told me that I needed to stay on the lower level of my house and stop sleeping up stairs. But now, it's the same old thing PAIN!!!

Yes, to all... especially on left hand side. I have bought a body pillow and lie up against that with one leg up on it. It is somewhat comforting. I have also been told it is the major ligament stretching but it's scary and I worry that it's the placenta coming away or something, although I'm getting used to it. I find some comfort reading that you have all experienced the same thing and are far more progressed in the pregnancy than I am. I just read a similar comment about the same kind of pain as well, so we're definitely not alone!

iam am 38 weeks pregnant and i have been experiencing this the whole pregnancy too. every time i ask a doctor, he/she says it's normal, but can't tell me why. yes, also mine is worse when i am getting up &/or out of bed. it actualy feels like my pelvis is broken.

I am in week 11 and I am having the left side pain as well. It flares up really bad at night when my bladder is full. Sometimes it can be so sharp it can put into tears and then most of the time there's just alot of pressure and aching. I got so worried at 8 weeks that I actually went into the doctor and he sd it was just ligament pain...it only lasted that day but this time around at 11 weeks ..it lasted for 5 days..I was almost about to go the doctor again but i refrained...

I've experienced it too. I notice it more when I try to get out of bed. This feels different than the round ligament pain. I've actually described it like an adult...not a baby...has kicked me in that area. I'm 37 weeks w/twins and have been experiencing for about 3-4 weeks.

I THINK THAT I HAVE THIS TOO! IT'S ALSO REALLY BAD IN MY HIPS. MY DOCTOR SAID THAT I PULLED MY GROIN, BUT YOU'D THINK THAT I PULLED MUSCLE WOULD HEAL AND GET BETTER WITH TIME. MINE SEEMS TO FLARE UP THE MORE ACTIVITY THAT I DO AND IT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE GOING AWAY!

I am going through this too, I am not sure wha tto do about it, but it is good to know that We are not alone in this pain, especially inthe left side, I work in food service and am moving around for 8 1/2 hours daily and was worried that it was caused by all the moving.

i have the exact same thing. its kindof like if you sit a certain way it will just pirce deeper. they are so sudden and sharp, and the feeling is like something is twitching inside. if anyone has an answer please this is a very strange problem.

It could be sciatica my mom had it with my sister and it literally knocked her feet out from under her! It is normal she said that the sciatic nerve was being compressed or something but I would ask you doctor just to be sure

Discomfort:	i am 11 weeks pregnant and am also healing from having my appendix and two ruptured ovarian cysts removed around the time i got pregnant. now i have a weird uncomfortable pain, almost period-like. it lessens but never really goes away. i haven't been bleeding but i am still worried. i have just switched over to a new doctor and am not quite comfortable with her yet, so any insight would be nice:)

sounds just like round ligament pain! OB says take Tylenol if it's particularly bad, or use a heating pad. Hope you feel better :)

Discomfort:	well this is my 4th pregnancy 3rd child and i was experiancing very bad pains in my lower abdoman then i didnt ever experiance in my other pregnancies, so i called health links and they said go to the adult emerg right away, so because i am only 8 weeks i couldnt go to triage....ne ways they thought it may be a tubal pregnancy but i have to go for an ultrasound next week my pains out of 10 10 being the worst pain ever, my pains where a 7, and 6 when not too painful. it was like labour pains, lower back pain, abdominal pain, the whole 9 yards. ne one else experiance this, this early on it isnt a tubal pregnacy and it wasnt a m/c is it possible for sever braxton hicks so early on?
Treatment or advice:	right now i am on strict bed rest for the rest of this week and next.

Discomfort:	It feels like a really sharp drawn out pain. When ever I would sit, or would be walking. It would stop for a few minutes then start again.
Treatment or advice:	My mom who is a nurse said that it is most likely my uterus expanding, When I lay down it tends to go away.

Discomfort:	i started geting small pains like acid or heartburn in my stomach the doc said its my ligaments stretching but it is getting worse now it hurts to walk bend sit laydown in any position it was jus in the lower part now the whole stomach hurts and is very tender to the touch.

I have a number of small little red bumps on the low part of my stomach right along where the top of my underwear and my pants lie. Maybe something with the hair follicles? I don't know. Anyone else have this?

Discomfort:	It comes and goes... just a slight discomfort in the lower abdomen on both sides, but more so on the left side. When it's actually occuring I kind of want to explain it like a shooting pain, but it's really not very severe. It's more annoying. Nothing I do really brings it on. This discomfort is ANNOYING. For some reason it comes up as unbearable... but I am clicking on ANNOYING.

I am 5 weeks pregnant and have also been having an annoying ache in my left side. This is my first pregnancy and I am concerned that it may be ectopic (although it is comforting to read that lots of women seem to have similar aches and pains). I have a doctors appointment in 2 days and will be discussing it then!

Discomfort:	When I lay in bed on my side or half on my tummy, and then try to turn over it's like a am pulling a muscle and I get a shooting pain in the side of my ab that I am laying on.
Treatment or advice:	I switch positions and I am ok again.

Discomfort:	Mostly when I lay down I feel a sharp pain in my lower left pelvic area. It sometimes shoots the pain down my left leg as well. It feels like ovarian cysts, I just want to make sure it isn't an eptopic pregnancy..That is my biggest worry.

Discomfort:	Sometimes I can feel something similar to cramps but not neccesarilly. It's scary because i feel like if im having contractions. But since ive been constipated for more then half my pregnancy i think that is what the whole thing has to do with.
Treatment or advice:	Usually ill get up and walk bake and forth and that usually does it.

I had strange pulling sensation from wk4 and am now in wk 8. Also got stabbing pains on same side (left by ovary). Have had 2 scans. Baby ok and heartbeat seen. Was told don't panic it just could be normal for you. Hope this relief some of your worries.

Discomfort:	I had horrible pain in that one spot. I could have pointed to the exact spot if I could have reached through my body. Very achy. Almost like a stabbing pain. They did a vaginal ultrasound and that hurt so bad. It was horrible pain. The pain has subsided more and more every day for the past week. It wasn't unbearable to the point of passing out, but it was pretty horrific.
Treatment or advice:	My doctor told me it is varicose veins in my uterus. Strange, huh?

Discomfort:	Sharp pain, hurt to walk, constant throbbing. if you have never been constipated then that could be the answer for this, i had never been and i went about a week couldnt even hardly walk, hurt so bad stayed in tears, then i relized it had been several days since I had a bowel movment, never knew that being constipated could hurt this bad
Treatment or advice:	Fiber in power form, raw veggies, green tea,lots and lots of water, if this dosent work then you get to have all kinds of fun at the hospital, and i wont even go there you can only imagine what they do to unstop you

Discomfort:	it's happened 2 times in the last couple weeks. i wake up out of a dead sleep with sharp pains in my upper abdomine and the feeling that something is about to come out of both ends (if you know what i mean) so when i get up and `try` to run to the bath room (i've had alot of calve and shin cramping, so it makes it hard to even briskly walk!) i sit on the toilet and nothing happens on that end...but i start to violently projectile vomit until the pain subsides. no queeziness like morning sickness, but rather i experience a cramping so bad that it wakes me up and i start to yell out in pain!

I have pain in my lower left pelvic area. Like a tight cramp and I went for my first ultra sound today and all we seen was a sac and did not hear the heart beat. I'm terrified :(
