im onli 6 weeks along aswell and i woke up in the middle of the night with this horrible pain just under my left rib cage which did go up in my shoulder its realy realy painfull so i no how you are feeeling but im sure i shouldnt be feeling this so early on

I am six weeks pregnant and I have pain around my waistline and on both sides of my ribs. this happens when I touch the area. I didn't experience this pain with my first child until after 20 some weeks. is it normal?

Discomfort:It usually only happens when I lay on the left side but can also happen when I am just sitting too. It feels like a burning sensation in my rib right under my left breast and it doesnt happen to the side at all.
Treatment or advice:I brought it up to my doctor and they said it may just be all my organs being pushed up but it is very uncomfortable.

I have had left side rib pain since 15 weeks. It's more annoying then anything. I have equated it to the expansion of my abdomen pulling on the insertion point of the abdominal muscles which attach around there. Slouching definetly makes it worse!

I think my case is very similar to yours. It's not so much a pain as it is an annoyance I guess. It feels like a numbing...or burning sensation right under my left breast. It's right about where I think my heart is! It feels almost as if my heart is being smushed up against my torso and being squished or something. If I am slouching a bit it is normally more noticeable too. It is driving me nuts!! I asked my mom and she said it was probably just because everything is getting pushed around and there isn't a whole lot of space for things...including your heart...to go. It's been mostly happening the last week or so and I am in my 30th week.

Discomfort:A stabbing pain in my ribs that can sting really bad if the baby is pressing against it, or if I sleep on it for too long.
Treatment or advice:I am now 38 weeks and I think the baby might be still breech and so the hardness of her head might be the culprit, but I am not sure. What helps is changing position or sitting straight up and standing up with my arms stretching over my head to try and lift my ribs a bit - but the relief is short lived. The only real remedy for this is not having her in there I believe! But in the mean time, keep as much strain off the area as possible.

Discomfort:I have a strong tingling sensation under my left breast, that often turns into numbness. This seems to happen more often at night, while in bed. Changing sleeping position does not alleviate this discomfort.

Discomfort:well ive always had the bottom of my rib stick out it has always been like that but i dont know why and the hospital said there is nothing wrong with it, but a couple of months before i got caught pregnant i had really ad pains in it and the hospital said yet again that there is nothing wrong with it, but now im pregnant its putting more strain on it and i dont know what to do to help the pain as the doctors and hospital said theres nothing they can give me because of baby incase it harms him, im in sooo much pain HELP!!!!

Discomfort:The pain is unbearable. If i lay on my left side it feels like burning/cramping/or tightening. If it is pushed on i will feel this sensation right through to my shoulder blade. The pain will wake me and make it impossible sometimes to get comfortable.

Discomfort:I have like this `buzzing` feeling under my left breast...feels like I have literally swallowed a bee :-) It's like a tiny constant vibration and the area feels bruised and sore when you touch it. You can't see anything from the outside and it's mainly when I sit up or slouch. It's very uncomfortable

Discomfort:I get a pressure or pain in the left rib cage when I bear down to have a BM. It almost feels like a rib might snap if I push to hard.
Treatment or advice:I have to shift to the right while sitting on the potty to strech out enough for the pain to stop.

Discomfort:It feels like the three ribs starting from my boobs down are broken! sore to the touch and sore by not touching them also!! Sometimes it is so sore it makes me cry, almost like the Biggest ache ive felt in my life, my braxton hicks are not even this bad! :'(
Treatment or advice:I go for a bath when i can, if not im pretty much stuffed and end up a bit tearful.
