Oh my goodness, the pain on my right side is nearing unbearable. It feels like a very bad stitch, or like something inside is swollen and bruised. I cannot make any sudden movements and sleeping and eating are limited. This cant go on for the next 10 weeks....

im 32 weeks, and ive been having this pain for a month now... hurt to make sudden movements at night or to get up too fast. :( im exhausted...

I have these same pains, especially when getting out of bed in the morning or if I have been walking or on my feet for a long time. Feels like I pulled a muscle in my abdomen...or ALL the muscles in my abdomen!! Sometimes dull pain, sometimes unbearable sharp pains. My doctor also said it is ligament pain, she said my ligaments may be stretched out from my first pregnancy and not as strong now (I never had this with my first). She suggested a maternity support belt (about $15 at maternity stores) to wear during the day when I'm on my feet. It supports the abdomen and lower back - it really helps a lot! The only thing is it gets hot and I get all sweaty and sticky under it but it is SO worth it - it has made a BIG difference. I would recommend anyone at least giving it a try. Also

Finally glad to see someone else is actually having the pain ive been describing. Its like I did 300 sit ups! I also went to the hospital. I can barely walk...theyre sore all the time with spurts of cramping on my left side. HAven't tried any tylenol or heat yet...but I gotta try somethin. Its been 5 days :( I hope the 'stretching' isnt till the end!!!!

I have really bad pains in my side there too. I even went to the hospital for them. They said it was just extreme ligament pains. They cant do anything for it but ice it, heat it, take tylenol, massage it or have a soak in the bath tub. Maybe that will help someone with less intense pains than me?

i get the same thing its like when i go to get up its like a sharp pain and it hurts or sometimes ill just be laying down and its like someone is stabing me and cramps at the same time?

i keep pulling my muscles in my lower tummy and this has been happening from the time i got pregnant even before the tests. its not cramps and its not braxton contractions either.. it feels like when you pull a leg muscle.

I've had really sore hip joints. Sometimes I can't get comfortable enough to sleep. I've tried sleeping with a pillow between my knees but that doesn't seem to help much. The pain comes and goes. My hip joints just ache.

i'm 31 weeks pregnant with my third child with my first prenancy i had to have help getting out of bed or put my legs straight first before i could roll over slowly because my hips would pop and hurt. bad with my second but not as bad. my third i don't have the same pain but costantly on my left hip it feels kind of numb and an ache and when i walk for a longer period of time it pinches and makes me bend and wince in pain

Discomfort:I was having some really bad cramping for a night and morning. Each time I'd get a cramp it would last about 10-30 minutes and I'd get them every 2 hours or so. It hurt so bad I couldn't move. It hasn't happened since. I've only had tiny little aches on either side of my abdomin since (even before these cramps).
Treatment or advice:I found that heat relaxed my side and stomach when I'd have bad cramping during my periods, so I tried that with these cramps and it went away. Because of that... I'm going to guess it was just my muscles stretching.

I had some pretty bad pains in the same place for about 2-3 days and so i called the late night nurse, & she told me to go to the ER right then. so i did and i got a full cathidar (4 the u/s), an ultrasound, blood test, and had to pee in a cup. turns out i had a pretty decent Urinary Tract Infection. so if it doesn't get better i'd recommend going to the dr.'s cause you never know what it could be. hope this helps & good luck =) Ashley

I had a sharp pain on my left side of my abodomen for 2 days and now its gone. i dont know what it is or could be. I never had that pain when i got pregnant with my daughter. I am trying for another baby but its not working. I havent taken a prego test yet cause i am not trying to think about it. If i dont think about it Im hoping it will happen. what should i do?

i also kept getting sharp shooting pains on the left side of my abdomen, sometimes the pain was more worse than other's, when it got really bad i collapsed to the floor and screaming in pain, it even happened when i was out on the street, i went up to the hospital and my gp loads of time, and all they said was it's was my ligaments and try not to worry about it,and give me pill's but they never worked, eventually since then then i've had to give up my job as i couldn't handle the pain.my GP said it should stop around 20weeks into the pregnancy.

I had the same sharp pain, went to the hospital, doctor told me this is ligament pain, I went home, but in couple of days the pain was unbearable. I went to the hospital again, they checked me more closely, and found out that I have 6 sm fibroid. They told me I can take Tylenol, but nothing they can at this point, I was 6 month pregnant. But thanks God the paint disappeared in couple of days; I never had this pain again, but fibroid is still there.

Discomfort:Round ligament pain- cramp like to sharp pain on one side or the other of the abdomen. It also may affect nerves leading to the knee causing pain while walking.
Treatment or advice:If the pain persists or becomes too much to bear it may require a trip to the dr's office or the ER but is not harmful to unborn baby.

I have a number of small little red bumps on the low part of my stomach right along where the top of my underwear and my pants lie. Maybe something with the hair follicles? I don't know. Anyone else have this?

Discomfort:It comes and goes... just a slight discomfort in the lower abdomen on both sides, but more so on the left side. When it's actually occuring I kind of want to explain it like a shooting pain, but it's really not very severe. It's more annoying. Nothing I do really brings it on. This discomfort is ANNOYING. For some reason it comes up as unbearable... but I am clicking on ANNOYING.

I am 5 weeks pregnant and have also been having an annoying ache in my left side. This is my first pregnancy and I am concerned that it may be ectopic (although it is comforting to read that lots of women seem to have similar aches and pains). I have a doctors appointment in 2 days and will be discussing it then!

Discomfort:When I lay in bed on my side or half on my tummy, and then try to turn over it's like a am pulling a muscle and I get a shooting pain in the side of my ab that I am laying on.

Discomfort:Carrying b/g twins now... have 3 others (13, 12 & 5) and this is the WORST pregnancy ever. I loved being painless and pregnant with the other 3. I just turned 37. The round ligament pain has been ever present from the very beginning... the single most excruciating pain in the universe. I can't wait to get my body back.
Treatment or advice:The only relief is laying on the opposite side of which it hurts at the moment, and even then, it takes some time to eliviate. For all who suffer round ligament pain (sharp.. horrible... breathtaking pains) I feel for you.

Discomfort:I get sharp pains in my hips....i try to walk it off but it doesn't work, i try to *lay it off* but that doesn't work...sometimes it is even hard to work. My mom said it might be the baby laying there, uuugh i don't know.

Discomfort:its more of a ripping feeling nothing like period cramping but more of a stabbing contraction pain,without the uterus contracting, as well as shooting around to my very lower back, last about 40 -90 seconds.
Treatment or advice:nothing works. although a hot pack does help it doesnt elimate the pain... panadol fort with codeine doesnt even help :(

Discomfort:It feels like I could be extremely constipated. It moves around from the left side to the middle just below my belly button in the mornings.It is very uncomfortable with a dull pain in the lower region of my abs.
Treatment or advice:My nurse said to get metimucil, but I haven't tried it yet

Discomfort:It feels like I could be extremely constipated. It moves around from the left side to the middle just below my belly button in the mornings.It is very uncomfortable with a dull pain in the lower region of my abs.

Discomfort:Sharp pain, hurt to walk, constant throbbing. if you have never been constipated then that could be the answer for this, i had never been and i went about a week couldnt even hardly walk, hurt so bad stayed in tears, then i relized it had been several days since I had a bowel movment, never knew that being constipated could hurt this bad
Treatment or advice:Fiber in power form, raw veggies, green tea,lots and lots of water, if this dosent work then you get to have all kinds of fun at the hospital, and i wont even go there you can only imagine what they do to unstop you

Discomfort:sharp grasping pain on left lower stomach, like something pulling inside. My stomach is very bloated. I couldn't walk, stand and even sit but have to lie down. I was rushed to the emergency right away.
Treatment or advice:Tylenol 3 or any painkiller that must first check with doctor. Must lie down to rest. Not sure if constipation is a factor as after stool excavation, my left lower stomach hurts a lot. Doctor suspects it may have to do with the 3.9cm cycst in my ovary that was found during my early pregnancy.

Discomfort:it's happened 2 times in the last couple weeks. i wake up out of a dead sleep with sharp pains in my upper abdomine and the feeling that something is about to come out of both ends (if you know what i mean) so when i get up and `try` to run to the bath room (i've had alot of calve and shin cramping, so it makes it hard to even briskly walk!) i sit on the toilet and nothing happens on that end...but i start to violently projectile vomit until the pain subsides. no queeziness like morning sickness, but rather i experience a cramping so bad that it wakes me up and i start to yell out in pain!

Discomfort:it's happened 2 times in the last couple weeks. i wake up out of a dead sleep with sharp pains in my upper abdomine and the feeling that something is about to come out of both ends (if you know what i mean) so when i get up and `try` to run to the bath room (i've had alot of calve and shin cramping, so it makes it hard to even briskly walk!) i sit on the toilet and nothing happens on that end...but i start to violently projectile vomit until the pain subsides. no queeziness like morning sickness, but rather i experience a cramping so bad that it wakes me up and i start to yell out in pain!

Discomfort:It feels like a sharp pang, hurts but not unbearable. Feels a lot like the uterus stretching, but more like cramping than that. Had to get checked out for ovarian cysts and ectopic pregnancy. Just a very annoying pain!
Treatment or advice:Had an u/s and everything checked out ok. Still get it all the time, only on the left side. Got no explanation, didn't actually see the doctor, they just wanted me to get checked for an ectopic. Since everything looked ok, they sent me home.

I have pain in my lower left pelvic area. Like a tight cramp and I went for my first ultra sound today and all we seen was a sac and did not hear the heart beat. I'm terrified :(

Discomfort:I was feeling a sharp pain on the portion of my body I had guessed is where my left fallopian tube is. I scheduled an ultrasound the next day thinking it might be an ectopic pregnancy! It wasn't, the baby is in the uterus and looks perfect, btu I was told it's probably just because I'm constipated and my poo poo is now having to move around a growing uterus and beginning to push on other parts of the body.
Treatment or advice:My doctor actually gave me a prenatal vitamin that has a stool softener in it, and has suggested Colace, an over-the-counter stool softener, if the constipation persists. The stool softener in my vitamin is pretty mild, but once I take the Colace, it works like a charm.
