Discomfort: Butt

Discomfort:Sharp stabbing pain in butt when I sit or stand for too long. Makes it hard to walk. Pain shoots down leg when I move.
Treatment or advice:Yoga ball, sit on ball when you have down time its really helping me with the pain.

Discomfort:I have been getting a shooting and almost crippling pain in my right butt cheek for months now. I'm guessing it's my sciatic nerve being pinched by my growing baby. It's not a constant thing, only if I am sitting or moving wrong, or if I move suddenly.
Treatment or advice:I usually am able to `stretch it out`. I awkwardly stick my right butt cheek out and bend over in the opposite direction until the pain subsides...it's quite humorous. :)

I have the right butt cheek pain too! My sciatic nerve started hurting at the end of my first preg. Then the pain didn't completely go away after delivery. Now it's almost 3 years later, I'm 16 wks preg., and the pain is worse than ever! This time it's really painful in my tailbone too, and the pain radiates down my legs to my feet - especially the right side. Sometimes my right butt cheek hurts so much I can hardly walk! My dr basically just said 'Bummer!' He's not very sympathetic.

I have a severe pain on my right butt cheek as well..I am not completely able to lie on my right side..I always have to turn left and sleep and if I try to get up from lying position, I feel like it wud be better if someone kills me..have started walking like a penguin..old wives tale, if ur right side hurts, u r probably having a boy..anybody heard of this? my sister in law told me it happened for her
