Discomfort: I am having pain in mu upper abdomen

Discomfort:Yesterday I made a sudden movement and I feel as though I may have pulled something. Ever since that incident, I have not been able to comfortably twist my body either left or right in the torso area without experiencing pain in my upper stomach area. It hurts about 2 inches below the diaphram.

Discomfort:I wish this body map was of a pregnant woman so it would give the pain some context. Anyhow, I have this pain that I feel when I walk. It's pretty annoying but not sure if it warrants a call to the doctor. I've been reading about placenta abruption and it's making me a bit paranoid.

Discomfort:I am 29 weeks and my stomach feels so tight a lot of the time. I don't know if its gas or what. It seems tighter some days than other and especally after I eat. could it be constipation?

it's probably. i'm 25 weeks and gas is killing me. when i eat my stomach get tight like it about to explode and i can't stand up straight. i've been takin gtums and hot coke (soda).

Discomfort:I am so freaking constipated... I won't go unless I take something...Does anybody know what i can take that won't make me blow up or have severe stomach cramps?

why don't you try something natural... this sounds kinda simple and even funny...but whenever I start to get constipated I eat something that will clear it up in a matter of hours... I love spinich...if I eat a large serving of that lovely green stuff I'm regular in no time. another food remedy is watermelon remember as a kid your paretns said not to eat the white part... well nows your chance... also grapes can do the trick as well as grape juice and other juices... the diabetic chocolate has something in it that will make you go in no time too..I hope these have helped at least hopefully they have gotten your mind turning. I wouldn't take a med for it unless I absolutly had too because they make you cramp and get really gassy...good luck

I had a similar sort of pain with both of my pregnancies and am having it now, which makes me wonder if I may be pregnant again (too early to do test). I had it starting at about 12 weeks with baby 2 and at about 20 weeks with baby 1. It was a stretching, burning pain that got worse as the day went on. It made me crazy. I wore one of those maternity belts for a while, which helped the pain, but it also made me crazy. I think it was a muscle thing - I am small (110 pounds and 5'5' when not pregnant), and I had relatively big babies. I occasionally applied light heat to the site, being careful not to overheat myself and the babies. That was a great relief, but only helped when I was doing it. The good news is that once the babies were out of me, the pain was instantly gone (until now...uh oh!).

My top 2 ab muscles began hurting a couple of weeks ago - I am now in week 32 of my pregnancy. These last 2 abs are the only visible muscles left in my stomach now!! They CONSTANTLY feel like they are being ripped apart and it burns all day. Sometimes my husband scratches my belly near the top where it hurts and it makes my abs feel better but that is the only thing that works...otherwise it is just burning all day.

Kiddo - Thursday, Mar 27th
Hi there, 30 weeks with twin boys, had horrible sleep last night, my left side just above my ribs feels like I have a briuse, it hurts when I rub it or a little pressure is on it, and also when I cough and blow my nose. There's also pain when I lay on my left side and back. This pain has just started in the last 24 hours, has anyone else had this. Thinking of ringing my midwife.

Discomfort:Not sure if this is related to gas pains or growing pains or whatever, but terrible `stretching` pain in my stomach, like it's being stretched from the inside out. Unbelievable, considering the back pain, breast pain and sinus pain I've already got going on.

Discomfort:i just went into the hospital for blood in my urine they thought a kidney stone or infection the kept me and ran fluids trying to fluch out a stone it never came but the blood dissapeared but now i have this constant almost nausiating pain throughout my entire stomch and im worried about the baby i have ate tums tried milk but i cant get it to go away i have had no morning sickness so i dont think its related to that do you think it could be from all the antibiotics they put into me?

Discomfort:Wicked gas pain when I eat but not everytime. The only way I can describe it is if you have ever had that sensation when you have a gulp of liquid and it feels to big for your throat and hurts like an SOB well that is what this feels like except coming up not going down

Sounds like ibs or irritable bowel syndrome, I have this and it makes eating a very uncomfortable business and has caused me to be a very fussy eater and lose 2 stones within a very short period of time, this is my first pregnancy since being diagnosed with it and it's made it even worse and I can't take my medication while pregnant :( my main symptom is severe bloating after eating with hardly any gas.. Which unfortunately would probably relieve the bloating... Oh It's a cruel world :)

Beyuteful - Thursday 13 May 2010
I am in my 28th wk and have started noticing a sharp pain in my upper stomach area, maybe the top if my uterus? Or feels like it could be lower part of my lungs and rib cage. It got so bad tonight and I tensed up to where I bagan to cry abit. I couldn't help it. Each breath I took made it hurt worse.Had to takeshort shallow breaths to ease to pain, felt like I could hardly move. Anyone know what this is?

Discomfort:I dont know how far along i am yet as my appointment isnt for another 4 days yet, but i cant be anymore than 8-9 weeks and even then that's pushing it but Im having quite strong and uncomfortable contractions but surely im far too early on in my pregnancy for them to feel this way!? It's scaring me and I don't think I can wait another 4 days to see someone, I have 2 other kids and had strong `braxton hicks most the way thru my other two even to the point where I was 4 cm dilated but sent home being told it was only BH I did protest that fake contractions could not dilate my cervix but it fell on deaf ears both my babies were two weeks late and had to be induced due to my super strong A/sac which the nurse inducing me described as trying to pierce a thick leather belt with a fork! Both my babies became distressed and had maconium in their waters which I have an awful feeling were due to such powerful contractions non stop for so long. With my second i was also given a steroid injection at 27 weeks to mature his lungs as my monitored, steady and notably strong contractions fooled us all into thinking he was about to make an early appearance but thanks to my super hero strength sac he stayed and stayed and stayed until he overstayed his welcome : ) is there any particular reason my early and late uterine contractions are so strong and could anyone else who's shared or sharing a similar story please, please get back to me it feels so strong right now that it's making me feel sick and ive never had morning/pregnancy sickness yet. You'd think because I'm quite early I wouldn't feel the contractions so high up either? It's all very weird but I'm definetely not far on as I've only just got positive test results this past few days and they are faint my others before that were negative, my bbs have gone up a whole cup size, I'm lactating my tummy is hard and swollen and like I said I have these god awful contractions- sorry I'm rambling on.. thank you for hearing me out! Any suggestions welcome! x
