Nikki, I had this problem early in pregnancy and am having it even more strongly in my 3rd trimester. Part of it is having so much on my mind and being anxious, but these are also normal reactions to hormonal spikes.

Discomfort:Headaches! I've been getting headaches beginning not too long after I wake up in the morning, and they continue on and off throughout the day.
Treatment or advice:I checked with my doctor, who said Tylenol should help with the pain. Also, I should make sure that I'm drinking enough water. Dehydration can cause headaches.

I get bad Migranes.. they last for days at a time sometimes and I haven't found a cure that's safe for the baby yet... well there is one.. Vicodin.. but I doubt a doctor will perscribe it for your headache.. even though it works.. I had to take it for my back and thats how I found out.. My doctor told me with Vicodin I just had to be careful while using it during the beggining of my pregnancy.. but after the 1st trimester it should be fine.. dont hurt the baby none..

Discomfort:I've been getting really lightheaded when I go from sitting/laying down to stand. More so in the evening. Things go black! In good shape, exercise, eat fairly well. Is this normal?

this is a bit normal you may want to see your doctor though to conferm that just to let him/her know what is going on...just make sure you dont get up to fast, orm eat to fast this some times causes it, but yes definetly go see your dr. to make sure there is nothing else going on!

hello jasmine, have you spoken with your Dr. about your discomforts? if not you may want to...there may be something more serious going on then just normal pregnancy 'pains' and 'irritations'. but if you have seen your Dr. and he/she said nothing serious is going on, try seeing another Dr. maybe your family Dr. just to get a second opinion to make sure! that is what i did with my first pregnancy and still do with this pregnancy. even if i no it may be just normal pregnancy discomforts i always want to be sure! just a thought! congrates and hope all goes well! jodi

Discomfort:The headache started two days ago. it has slowly progressed. I get very nervous about evrything. The pain gets so severe that at times i cannot even put my head down. The worst is sneezing and coughing. I quit smoking a few weeks back and have been couching ever since so that doesnt help with the pain. I stayed home from work and before i go to the clinic i decided to some research. Tylenol does nothing and i read that if a headache persists that it could indicate pregnancy complications Tis worries me however after reading some of the comments here i feel a little at ease.

I do hope that by now you have found some relief, since it has been a month. However, I just discovered this site tongight. Do you suppose that the headache could be or could have been from a lack of caffiene? Or does it seem to be in the sinuses? If so, try massaging the sides of your neck, right against the bones. This should cause them to drain or release. I recall having headaches that Tylenol did nothing for. Very frustrating, but usually the massage would help.

If it's early on in your pregnancy and your having really bad headaches it could be from estrogen. I had horrible ones where it felt like my head was going to pop. The doctor prescribed me a medicine just for estrogen headaches and they worked in like five minutes. I only had to take them for like two weeks then I never got another one.

Discomfort:Before I got prego I had only a very mild case of ACNE, now I am 27 wks. and it's only gotten worse...WAY WORSE! It started w/ just my face, but now it covers my face, neck, arms, chest, back and is starting on my stomach...it's so embarrasing...especially considering it's summer time her in Fl. I don't know what to do!

Treatment or advice:do not take asperin as it thins the blood or iboprofen such as nurofen. ESPECIALLY after 20weeks! paracetamol normally calms it down a bit

Discomfort:not so much a discomfort but certainly a side effect. i have been dreaming all night every night. i have weird dreams and bad dreams. the dreams are so vivid they wake me up several times at night. it continues as i am awake and when i go back to sleep! its the craziest thing ever. I just can't stop it. i have never had this many dreams in my life. not even with my first pregnancy.

The headaches are normal that's just the beginning of the wonderful joys of pregnancy ^_^. Ask anyone that has had children or has been past your week. I'm 25 weeks now and the headaches still come and go just try to rest your eyes and keep sound to a minim and try not to look at bright lights hope this has helped

Severe lightheadedness all the time (it feels like I've been drinking or have taken benadryl) but in a bad, debilitating way. I went to ER last Wednesday and they found my potassium to be low. So I've been on a supplement for that. By Saturday things got worse, and I went to ER again...my potassium was improved and they aren't sure of cause. Talked about doing a CT scan of my brain. I called my OB and they can't see me until Thursday-and after explaining to them what I am feeling they said I should go to my family doctor-what!? So I tried to do that-he said I need to be seen by an ENT or a neurologist-what!? These doctors are driving me insane. They've given me meclinzine (anitvert) and it does nothing for me so I am not taking it. I went to urgent care-since my doctor wouldn't see me-and got an antibiotic for a sinus infection. Who knows!? I started on antibiotic yesterday-so we'll see if it makes any difference. I realize some of this is normal for pregnancy but this is just rediculous-I can't even safely work or drive right now!!!! And no one is helping me. I can go back to the ER to have my head scanned and that's about it...

Discomfort:daily headaches. I never got headaches before pregnancy.
Treatment or advice:Consider Tylenol and get my eyes checked if I had not in the recent past. If the problems persist after this, make sure to tell the doctor again. When I told my doctor during my second appt I don't typically get headaches, he reminded me `pregnant you is not the same person as un-pregnant you.` :)

Treatment or advice:Consider Tylenol and get my eyes checked if I had not in the recent past. If the problems persist after this, make sure to tell the doctor again. When I told my doctor during my second appt I don't typically get headaches, he reminded me `pregnant you is not the same person as un-pregnant you.` :)
