Discomfort:For the past couple of weeks I have had the most awful pain in the right side of my ribs it is piercing and stabbing - but it goes all the way through my back hurts in the exact same spot. I had thought I pulled a muscle- well I didn't It won't go away!
Treatment or advice:My dr said that it was ok to use icy hot and a heating pad at a low heat for limited amounts of time. It helps for a few minutes but not enough. My hubby rubs it it only feels good while he's rubbing it. Someone help! lol

i have been having the exactt same thing for the past 3 weeks now. dr said i pulled a muscle cuz the area is tender but the pain feels like it's getting worse. sitting down brings the pain on and sometimes when i eat...can't seem to get any relief from it

I just started having the same problem. I woke up fine but within a matter of 10 minutes I was hunched over in pain. Back rub was not helping. Baby has been kicking me in the right side for as long as I can remember. I ended up taking a bath and the pain somewhat subsided. It was in the right side near my ribs, around to my left side and went down to my hip on the right. Any clue to what this may have been? I was extremely tired and the baby was kicking the entire time I had the pain. Also had frequent urination. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. BTW I am 32 weeks.

i have the same pain but it feels like the baby is laying on a nerve on my right side and it wra[s around to my back and the only thing that helps is when i lay on my left side or use a heating pad on my back

I'm almost 37 wks, and for the past couple of days now I have been having a cramping feeling in my upper right rib area. Not sure why but he has been kicking around a lot lately. Possibly bruised??

Me too -- my pain is under the right side of my rib cage and can go all the way to the back of my rib cage. unfortunatley, I have no good advice. I find that laying on my left side and removing my bra helps a bit...

sounds like the the pain I have been having but mine is on the right!!! I know this is my 3rd child but I am not as far along as you are so I am wondering if they actually are similar! but your comment has helped me realize I am not the only one going through this!

Discomfort:Developed redness in Lower Breast Part area which looks like a small patch od Red.It feels like warm and hot on touch but no pain and discomfort.Wearing bra ,made that area a bit bumpy in look.It persisted for full 3-4 weeks but always looks alright on taking shower or when not wearing bra.
Treatment or advice:Showed it to doctor and doctor says its warm and hot due to more rushing of blood to breast which is in process of making milk in ducts.Looked like an infection and suggessted Amoxyllin and finishing the dosage.Completed the dosage and the breast area now looks like brownish in appearance.

O my goodness, I have had terrible right sided rib pain. Basically my doc said there's not much I can do about it. Likely it is caused by my uterus irritating my diaphragm and the baby pushing up. Gosh! its awful! I am 28 weeks and its only going to get worse! I try stretching, positioning, biofreeze, ice, you name it-some of these help a little but the pain is constant :/ Hope that it doesn't continue to get worse-I don't know how I'll be able to function :( If only my torso were a few inches longer!
