Hey guys! I'm new to this site but desperate for some support sence my family has pretty much put me on the chopping block because of this unexpected pregancy. i am 19 years of age and living with my boyfriend. i am only 5 and a half weeks pregnant, my second doctors appoiptment is in 32 days where i will be 10 weeks. hopfuly to have an ultra sound and maybe see my baby? Is it normal to have constant fears that your baby is going to pass away in this trimester? its ALWAYS in my mind i find myself holding my belly and praying to god to keep it safe before i go to bed. is this normal? am i going crazy? im so scared to go to the appoiptment and the doctor say ' Lilie there is no heart beat' .. i dont think i could bare that. Anyway, i am going to parenting classes and so is my boyfriend, also we attend relationship classes so we are ready for the added stress of a child. i already have a crib stroller car seat everything i need ( i like to be prepaired ) and i figure if the baby does.. not make it i can give it away to another mother in need. anyway ADVICE LADYS! thanks, Lilie

Hello. I'm relatively new to the site, and I am 30 weeks pregnant. I was wondering if any of y'all have (or had) experienced the feeling of being able to... Well, sense more at night than during the day. I recently (about two weeks ago) returned from my local women's hospital on some medication for preterm labor prevention. Since then I've tried to be very attentive to my body's cues. It seems like during the day, my day is so hectic with this and that and I don't tend to notice if I'm in pain or feeling contractions. But at NIGHT, I have trouble getting out of bed and it feels like whenever I move, it's in the middle of a contraction or something. Has anyone else experienced this before (the increased sensitivity to body cues at night) and what should I do?

Just wanted to share my story cos I had trouble finding someone to relate to that posted an outcome as well as condition. I had vanishing twin syndrome and a blighted ovum pregnancy 3 months ago. My hcg was still going up and when it hit 30000 at 12 weeks with still no bleeding or cramping we opted for a d&c, best decision we ever made. I fell pregnant again following my first period a month after the d&c. I got a positive pregancy test 13dpo, had a blood test 3 days later and only got a reading of 180. A week later that jumped to 8600 so we went ahead and had a transvaginal ultrasound. The scan showed a small sac and fetus with a weak heartbeat at 84 bpm. Because the fetus was a week behind in size and had bradycardia (slow heartrate) my diagnosis was not good. I was then told to look out for bleeding and cramping and come back in 3 weeks for an ultrasound to determine viability... We had a blood test a week after this and my hcg had gone up to 115000! No wonder I was so sick! Long story short we brought our scan forward a week and this time did not need a transvaginal scan to see a little baby kicking around who has jumped forward 5 days in size (now consistent with my dates) with a fetal heart rate of 172bpm!! Stay positive ladies, it does happen :) I took my easy 1st pregnancy for granted, but now I am thankful for small mercies and look forward to making master 18months a big brother in 7 months time!

Erica-Marie - 46 days ago.
@KristiBelle I tested positive on 11 dpo. The only reason I tested so early was because I had an alcohol drink with my dinner and it tasted awful! My husband jokingly said ' baby must not like it' Well it prompted me to test and I was just as surprised as you when it was positive. I wouldn't get too worried yet :)

KristiBelle - 46 days ago.
I am 36 yo and just started ttc this month. I have taken three tests in the last two days and they have all been positive. I am only 12 dpo and the lines were faint on the first two so I went out and got a digital one and it showed pregnant within a minute or so. I can't believe it worked in the first month. I've been doing some reading and now I'm scared that I tested too early and could possibly miscarry in the next few days. Anyone know what the odds of this might be?

I wish a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all the mothers and mother-to-be's

mini - 58 days ago.
i am posted to have an NT scan on 2 jan 2012. now, i am 9 weeks 3 days.

RoyalMomma718 - 62 days ago.
@wishlet According to my belly book. I saw Josie for the first time at 6 wks 4days. Her heartbeat was in the 120s and she was more than a dot and a sac. There was a little embryo there. :) Hope that helps. And hopefully your next visit there will be a baby on your ultrasound :)

jjrhodes - 64 days ago.
BrittneB - I can nornally go into my doc office first thing in the morning and my lab results are back by lunch if not before

jjrhodes - 64 days ago.
wishlet - I am on progestrone shots on a weekly basis as well. at my first intial visit at the beginning of Nov my progestrone was 8.5 and I was told the min level is 8.8. That has been the issue with me for the last 3 pregnancies. The shots have really helped me this go round and I have to take them until the end of my trimester, however I don't think they effect when you are able or unable to see anything in the sac but I'm not compeltely sure on that

wishlet - 64 days ago.
@BrittneB depends on how urgent they sent of the bloodwork. if they sent it out tonight to a lab they could hear back earliest as tomorrow morning. latest 3 days.

BrittneB - 64 days ago.
I just found out I am pregnant today, I took a blood test planning on getting my wisdom teeth taken out and my doctor informed me i had high levels of the pregnancy hormone. I haven't gotten my period for a few months now, so they sent me for another blood test to see how far along i am. Does anyone know how long it takes for blood results to come back?

wishlet - 64 days ago.
thanks for the reply @jjrhodes. dr called back with my bloodwork today as i was going in for recheck bloodwork. my progesterone is low which could be why i cant see anything yet? i'm on progesterone meds (specifically prometrium). hoping for the best!

jjrhodes - 65 days ago.
you are welcome MINI. Wishlet, at 4-5 weeks all you are basically going to be able to see is a sac and maybe a dot, but nothing more. My last period was Oct 8 and I am 8 weeks and 5 days (they moved my due date back) and I had my first ultrasound at at 6 weeks and 3 days (measured 5 weeks and 6 days) and all we could see was a sac and white dot and nothing more. Since then we have seen the heartbeat. Good luck and best wishes

mini - 66 days ago.
thanks for the reply @jjrhodes

wishlet - 66 days ago.
hey. i was wondering if anyone else was having an of these 'weird' is issues i've been having. i went to my first obgyn appt. yesterday thinking i was around 7-8 weeks because my last normal period being oct. 8 (i bled abnormally nov. 13 for a few days). they couldnt see my baby or sac on the ultrasound and did some bloodwork. my doctor thinks i'm earlier than we expected being more likely at 4-5 weeks. anyone else not able to see their baby that early?

jessica11 - 68 days ago.
Anyone here have had pregnancy massage?

jjrhodes - 69 days ago.
MINI I am not sure about HCG injections but I am also 8 weeks and have been taking progestrone shots since the very beginning of my pregnancy due to low progestrone with my last 3 pregnancies that I lost. They are very helpful and keep my progestrone where it needs to be and I will have them every week for my first trimester

mini - 69 days ago.
Hi, I am 8 weeks pregnant, recently found. I have been asked to get inj. HCG every 5 days. Does anyone know the indication of giving HCG during pregnancy? I guess this is given for infertility treatment. I had a miscarriage 2 years ago. Also, now I am diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Please help with an answer

Hi ladies! I am 3 months pregnant and due 20th of may next year. Came on here looking for some much needed support. My fiance' is Canadian and I am Australian and we decided to come to Canada as there were more opportunities for work and housing (Bub was a suprise!) And unfortunately we have just found out that MIL is dying of cancer- she doesn't have long left and it's really horrible since I get along with her so well. I have no friends here, don't really get along with the rest of the family (They make it quite clear they don't really want me around although i've been nothing but nice to them). It's really tough and depressing being on your own, with my Fiance' spending a lot of time with the MIL I cannot blame him for not paying attention to me. But I am slowly sinking into depression here with worries about visa's also. Anybody that can chat would be great! I need some support right about now
