An amazing transformation will be occuring over the next nine months!

Congratulations on your pregnancy! It takes approximately 260 days for your baby to completely form and develop from the date of conception to the date of birth. Your baby will start out as a microscopic zygote and grow into a 7-8 pound (on average) human being! You are carrying a miracle inside of you. While every pregnancy is unique, most women will experience many of the same symptoms, feelings and concerns at some point during their pregnancy. Here you can talk about anything related to pregnancy.

Eloises-mummy! - 10 hours ago.
ive just been watching some birth videos on youtube. theres some amasing stuff one there. It makes me so impatient to see those women with there babies lol. I really want a home birth this time but i dont dare and they wouldnt recommend it as my last labour made me ill, even though she came out fine. i had pre esclampsia. Anyone have a bad first labour then go and have a homebirth? just curious?!

Chazoos - 1 days ago.
Hi Bri, Hehe Thanks so much :) We're both so excited. Sorry I went out for dinner. Yes I'm trying to combat the fruit situation I have maybe I'll try to drink freshly squeezed orange juice, and maybe some vitamins. I don't have any issues with anything else, love my veggies and can eat just about anything :) Thanks for the response :)

Bri - 1 days ago.
Chazoos - Congrats! As long as you are eating a healthy diet and taking your vitamins you should be fine. But, some studies show that if you want your baby to like the taste of fruits and veggies you should eat them while pregnant. I don't know how much this is true since my son refuses fruit and that's all I craved with him. Maybe he got sooo much fruit while in utero that he doesn't want to eat it now. He loves veggies though.

Chazoos - 1 days ago.
I was just wondering, I'm pretty healthy but here's the catch.. I don't eat fruit. I'm roughly 6-7 weeks in, and I know it's important to eat well and was wondering if this could have any affect on my baby? The doctor at my last checkup told me I'm fine and healthy, and I was once told that you usually crave food that you lack, hope I don't crave fruit haha. (Just a question) TY

hey all... I just found out I am 7 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby and even saw the heart beat... seems crazy to me but because of my past (2 M/C) i am really worried even though everything seems to be going fine... I have been tired all the the time but hardly have any nausea, no throwing up. Does anyone know how likely it is to lose the baby after you see the heartbeat? i am trying to stay positive and DH is very supportive and excited... we had just got over the last MC and found out I was prego!! we have been trying but were planning on waiting a few months and SURPRISE... does anyone have any information or helpful words to help me get through this?

htbaby2010 - 3 days ago.
Long cycles. Hi ladies. I wanted to know if any of you have some advice for me. I have long cycles (usually 37 days). I have never been pregnant, but I've been trying to 7 months now. Do any of you mothers also have long cycles? I read that women with longer cycles have a higher chance of miscarriage and a lower fertility rate. Is there hope for women with longer cycles? How can I minimize the chance of getting a mc? I found another lady on here who has had MANY many mcs and she has long cycles and it really scared me. Needless to say, reading that info AND finding living proof really made for a bad day.

hey everyone, i am going to be 34 weeks pregnant on thursday... going fast but so slow at the same time, just to answer a few questions... i told the whole world i was expecting the day after i foun d out haha, an that was with my older daughter too, csimonds- i had really bad headaches in the first three months with this pregnancy, my doc told me its mainly caused by dehydration so try and drink as much water as possible! laceyr, with my 1st pregnancy i didnt feel any movement until i was about 21-22 weeks!! everybodys bumps grow at different times so dont worry if your not showing yet as i know a few people who didnt show until the last trimester!! im sorry you miscarried, if you didnt get to the stage of feeling movemnent with the previous pregnancy then its prob why its taking so long to feel it with this one as you only normally feel it earlier with 2nd/3rd ect as they know what to feel for if that makes sence hope i helped xxx

danie23 - 5 days ago.
hi im 28 weeks pregnant and found that my bump has dropped already and she is very low down with my other 2 pregnancies they didnt drop till near the end do you think she is coming early or am i being paranoid my mum went in labour a month early with her kids but i was late with my 2 boys

Bri - 5 days ago.
bluemolly - That is up to you. No one can tell you when is the right time to tell people. Just like no one can tell you how far apart is the perfect age difference between children. Only you will know what you are comfortable with. My sister waited until she finished her first trimester, me on the other hand waited like a week before saying anything. Completely you and your partners choice.

bluemolly - 5 days ago.
Hey ladies! I am almost 11 weeks. I have told close family and friends. How much longer should I wait to tell the rest of the world?

lb71 - 6 days ago.
csimonds - I also had no m/s, extreme tiredness, and bad headaches in the first tri. My OB said it was OK to take 2 extra strength tylenol for the headaches, and that did help, though they kept coming back. I just tried to stay hydrated and sleep as much as I could. The headaches did stop after a while. :)

csimonds - 6 days ago.
Hello; this is my first time pregnant, I'm 8-9 weeks along (haven't had a chance to go to the doctor yet so it's an estimate). I don't really have anyone to talk about it with, so I'll ask the question here; I'm been having horrible headaches every day for the last three weeks, accompanied by extreme fatigue. I haven't had morning sickness, but the headaches have made food sound very unappetizing. I know that pregnancy takes every woman differently, but I was wondering if any other veteran mothers had something similar happen and what it meant.

Can someone answer this please. I am 19 weeks pregnant and i've been on my toes the whole pregnancy because of the miscarriage I had with my first. Should I be showing? Should I be feeling the baby move? Please help.

Are you pregnant? Are you expecting your FIRST child? If so, researchers from the University of Georgia and Rutgers University would like to invite you and your romantic partner to participate in a study of first time parents. If you and your partner are expecting your first child and you are currently in your second or third trimester of pregnancy, you can help us to better understand how couples manage the transition to parenthood. Dr. Kirsten Weber from the University of Georgia and Dr. Jennifer Theiss from Rutgers University invite you to take part in a unique and important study of first time parents. You and your partner will complete online surveys about your relationship at four stages during this transition to parenthood: once before the birth of your child, once during the month after the baby is born, once at three months after birth and once at six months after birth. The questionnaires will be completely confidential and completed online from the comfort of your own home. Participants will be compensated for their time and effort! You will receive a $15 gift card to Wal-Mart for completing the first survey, $10 gift cards for the second and third survey, and a $15 gift card for completing the final survey (to help pay for all those diapers!). To be eligible to participate you must meet the following criteria: - You and your romantic partner must be at least 18 years old and both of you must be willing to participate in the study - Couples must live together in the same home - Couples must be expecting their first child - Couples must begin the study in the second or third trimester of pregnancy If you are interested in participating, please email us at UGAparenthoodstudy@gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you! Dr. Kirsten Weber & Dr. Jennifer Theiss

Hi everyone. I'm stressing out completely! So first I'm in a long distance relationship and when my bf came to visit (1st time in over 2 months) we had unprotected sex. It was about a week after my period. He left on Monday and the following Friday I bled. It was brown and a rosey pink (I never spot). I've taken 1 prego test it was neg, but it was at 2 wks. Didn't really expect an accurate test. Anyways, I've been overly tired, eating a crap load (which is really stressing me out), craving a LOT of spicy food (like a handful of hot peppers on my sub), feel dehydrated all the time even when my pee is clear, have been up the past two nights with a headache, have been having some slight cramping every once in a while and today got ubber pissed at my bf for not calling me (like I wanted to yell at him which isn't normal). What do you guys think?
