Well, if it's another girl the hand-me-down clothes would be free. They would vertually share everything Pacifiers-crib-toys so you already have everything. Probably wouldn't be as expensive as having a boy. Your hubby should be able to go back to work when he is healed. Up to you girl, I'd wait just a little while for the shock to wear off (like a week or two) before jumping headlong into a decision.

luvbeingamom - 1106 days ago.
t- there is no easy answer to your question. You certainly have the obvious options, of abortion or adoption if you don't feel you can keep this baby. I know personally i couldn't do either of those options and i would take a day by day approach and do everything i can to keep our heads above water. It really comes to your and your husbands choices, ideals and thoughts. I personally believe that God wouldn't give anyone anything they can't handle. I don't envy your situation and wish you the best of luck in any choice you make! ((((HUGS))))

Alright, it has been a while since I have been on here. I figured that is was so helpful with my last pregnancy that I would try it again. My youngest daughter is almost 8 months old. My husband and tried for two years to have her. Last night I just found out that I am pregnant again and I don't know what to do. We have tow girls already, my husband is out of work due to an injury and I am the only one bringing in any money. I know this is very touchy for some and I ask that if you don't have any positive advise to please keep it to yourself. But if you can offer any words of wisdom or points to consider please feel free to send them my way.

Yay!! I'm not alone. My son is 14lbs 8oz and 26inches long and he's 8weeks old. Two weeks ago he was 13lbs 12oz 25 in a half inches long so he's literally a growing baby!! He's not fat or anything he's just long. My doctor said he's healthy and that there's nothing wrong with him so I'm okay with his weight and everything. Hey as long as your baby is healthy and your doctor hasnt mention any weight or health problems then I wouldnt worry about it.

*lovelymomma* - 1107 days ago.
jandrews, my son was 13lbs 14oz at 9 weeks! He doubled his birth weight at 2 months! My doctor said he fine though not too big. He's 17 weeks now and about 17lbs his growth has slowed down a little but he's still a big boy. I don't think there is anything wrong with a chuncky baby you know their healthy that way! :)

Mrs.jandrews - 1108 days ago.

Mrs.jandrews - 1108 days ago.
Thanks Happy! I am a first time Mommy and just parniod!!! lol...my boy has rolls and creases on his legs!

happyforest - 1108 days ago.
jandrews- my 11 week old is 14 lb 9 oz! hes not even got any fat rolls...hes just big all together! he also just went up to size 2 diapers. i dont think 11 lbs is too big at all....dont worry!

Mrs.jandrews - 1108 days ago.
My son will be 11 wks this Friday and we were at the DR on Monday and he weighs 11lbs 15oz...1oz shy of 12lbs! I am only breastfeeding him. I am not sure if this is bad..my DR said it was he has basically doubled his birth weight. He doesn't look big...but I believe I have change his diaper size now too...he leaked through 2 of his diapers sized 1 diapers today. Any feedback would be helpful! Thanks so much!

Thanks guys!! I drink soy milk myself and I had my son on soy but so many people scared me and it didn't help his eczema so I put him back on the previous formula. I tried the goats milk and he will not drink it! I even did half and half and he still wouldn't even touch it...I have the fussiest kid in the world. His eczema is still terrible and now he's decided to wake up 6-8 times a night and is up for good at 7!! I think I might lose my mind!! The doctors here are no help neither. Everytime I go in and see the doctors they just tell me to keep putting cortizone cream on his face and he'll grow out of it. Oh the joys of motherhood haha.

nikkiekck - 1109 days ago.
saw ur comment. i use to use the soy milk called 'silk' she loved it and it comes in chocolate 2! just a option you may want to try besides that goat milk...

katie22 - 1109 days ago.
p.s., though it is nearly 2x more expensive than regular formula (here in new zealand anyway..)

katie22 - 1109 days ago.
petersonj: have u tried a lactose free formula? i give it to alex and find he is much better on it- skin wise and stops his tummy upsets.

katie22 - 1109 days ago.
ok so anyone else find mashed bananas stains clothing?? i just wrecked a 15 pound bib from harrods....

happyforest - 1110 days ago.
forest has recently started sucking and chewing on his hand ALL THE TIME!! they are red, swollen, and cracking. i dont know what to do. he normally takes a pacifier but now he just spits it out and goes for his hands. if i put gloves on him he still chews on them, then they are wet and irritates his hands even more. i hope this doesnt last too much longer! i have checked and he has no teeth or tooth bumps yet...so i dont think he is teething... ?

I would love to know about the other proteins they eat to keep it up ~ as I said, I would have gone rice milk but was concerned about the protein ~ we eat organic often too and always organic milk and dont mind trying new things if it is beneficial ~

petersonj - 1114 days ago.
Thanks ladies!! mommymcginnis-I talked to the dietician today and said that I could put him on whole goats milk at 9 months as lond as he's getting pablum still just for iron and I have a really good organic multi vitamin too. He's 9 months and 22 pounds so he a very healthy baby. Is your husband a naturopath? I've been seeing this naturopath here and she's awesome. Has anyone read Skinny Bitch? It's hilarious but disturbing at the same time!! Vegans get there proteins from a lot of different sources after reading that book I'm not sure I agree with dairy but I still do eat meat...most organic though.

mommymcginnis - 1114 days ago.
i mean my husband and I

mommymcginnis - 1114 days ago.
goats milk! we tried everything with my little girl she was always colicky and gassy but we now make her a homemade infant formula using goats milk and shes a completely different baby. Also her formula is all natural unlike formula which has synthetic vitamins hers is all whole foods and she loves the taste. Her dr. is sooo happy with her development and supports our decision to use homemade formula he even said its better for her. the recipe can be found on http://www.westonaprice.org/children/recipes.html there is a milk based, goat milk based and liver based. My husband know alot about natural health I would love to share with anyone that wants to chat

Bri - 1114 days ago.
On of the girls at my son's school drinks rice milk. She breastfed at home and drinks rice milk during lunch. I've often wondered about the nutrional value of it. She's also a vegan so I worry about her protein intake as well.

RobinG - 1114 days ago.
I was told to give my son rice milk at 12 months but I choose not to because the protein in it is very low and they need the protein for brain development ~ not sure about the others though (()) If you are formula feeding there are many added nutrients in it that they need for the first 12 months. See if doc will suggest a good vit for him if you do opt to give milk early but I would check with doc to see how he/she feels since he isnt 12 months yet. I gave my first two soy and they did fine :)

petersonj - 1114 days ago.
Does anyone use rice, almond or goats milk? My son is almost 9 months old and has terrible eczema so I'm suppose to cut out all dairy and I don't want to use soy. Thanks!!

I dont know if I am going to get in trouble for this but I have a prayer request for those who pray: A friend just contacted me and told me that her friend`s baby just died of the chicken pox. I am asking for prayer for the family and especially for the babys mom. I don`t know her name but I figure God know...so if you do and feel compelled PLEASE pray for this family!!!
