is there an inlaw forum or stresses that parents put on us mums to be. I sometimes need to vent about my inlaws attitude towards my pregnancy (same thing happening 2nd time round). A few ladies have posted on week by week but im not wanting to inundate, thats more about how this pg is affecting us and how we feel that day, and general pg support. Id love to hear from others who have had their 2nd, 3rd and to see how similar issues with them and their coping mechanisms...and just a damned good vent!

would be good to have a live chat feature so that when you have a problem you can chat to other mums instantly! :) just a thought

I was surprised there wasn't a discussion page for those with Preeclampsia. I would like to see it added if possible. It seems to be pretty common and very serious. Thanks for considering!

I think a forum for SMA would be great to have on the birth defects page. This is the #1 genetic killer of babies. I feel like people should be aware of it.

Hi I just thought it would be nice if we have a ticker just like pregnancy...the one on the page that says 14 weeks pregnant etc. for babies too.......like after delivery when u click 'I gave birth' and put your baby's birthday...the page should pick up the date from there and calculate baby's age....so for example it would say baby 2 months old and when u click 2 months it takes you to the forum page about 2 month old.

After my last childbirth I had a post-partum hemmorage due to a 'boggy uterus' not clamping down. I would love to see some information on the subject here.

Thank you for your suggestions. Programming changes are not being made at this time, but I can certainly pass these suggestions on to the tech team.
You can share your adoption stories here http://www.i-am-pregnant.com/encyclopedia/Pregnancy/Adoption
Because the chat room became an area with constant drama and was very hard to monitor and keep friendly, chat has been disabled and will likely not return.

Any chance of the chat feature making a reappearance ??

Just a thought, might be a nice addition to have under the baby's forum a spot for adoptive parents to share thoughts and stories.

I have a suggestion; I was wondering if you could maybe change the way 'comments' are left on the forum, and allow us to use some formatting (even if it's just the power to press enter and start a new paragraph), I mean, it's not a very integral kind of thing, but would make reading posts a lot easier :)

Hi I was just wondering if a forum can be put in for polyps and cysts just a general area not for any specific one. I know you have one for pcos but there are a few more types of cysts and polyps around than that one, any way just a suggestion. Thanks

ShireeT- Tech has been updating all of the calculators and I thought we had them all completed. We must have missed one. Can you please provide the URL of the page you are referencing, so that I know exactly which calendar you are needing changed? Thank you!

The pregnancy calculater only goes to 2010. i'm due january of 2011 and can't use it. Which means many other ladies that are new to the site are probably having the same problem. There is no longer a need for the 2008 option because if you had your last period in 2008 you are LONG overdue and probably dead. Thanks :^)

Just wondering where we are as far as progress goes on the whole 'private profile' thing? I am frankly getting tired of having people not in my friends network adding comments to my blogs and profile when they do not know me. I would just really like the private option so that my blogs, photos and maybe my profile information could be seen by only people in my friends network.

Perhaps on the top of the TTC forum, a diagram of how the menstrual cycle works, and how understanding your cycle can help you determine your 'fertile period' in the cycle... the kind that shows a graph of the different hormones involved, egg development, and the difference between the pre ovulation phase, and the post ovulation (luteal) phase.

Hey Laura, has there been any change in the profile dates? I still can't change my youngest son's birthday to show 2010?

I would really like to see a forum on beauty products while pregnant. Just because a girl gets pregnant doesn't mean she wants to look like a beast! A forum to discuss whats safe and not safe (Like products with soy, acetate, and herb in them according to TV Show 'the doctors') would be great. Besides tha,t this is a great site and my compliaments to the coordinators of this site :)

need a 'gender let down' topic section. i know it sounds bizzare but it's real, and many women struggle with it. just a thought.

therose88: Admin had to get rid of the chat room because there was too much arguing going on in there. Many of the forums now work like chat rooms though, only with less bickering!

lol, Laura, you should create a sister-site, called I-am-TTC! So many of the suggestions and active areas of this site are TTC related! We were just chatting in the TTC forum about adding a 'TTC Success Story' forum, dedicated to telling how women (especially those who TTCed a long time) were finally able to get their BFP!! A 'what worked for me' forum.
