Was wondering if the Autism page could be changed to be title to Autistic Spectrum Disorder ~ Austism has many different degrees from mild to severe and being titled ASD versus just autism better decribes it and will help more moms here I think. My son was just diagnosed with ASD and I was told that is the term most used now by doctors since it is a spectrum and not just limited to classic autism ~ Aspergers, autism, mild autism are not completely the same thing but are all ASD. If that makes sense :) If not wanting to change can you just have different sub catagoies like mild, moderate and severe since those terms are used to decribe different levels onthe spectrum. TX!!

hello laura, i'm sure you are a busy lady. i have to tell you, this website was like therapy to me through my pregnancy with my son. thanks! i was wondering...it isn't as commonly spoken about but i have an antiphosphilipid (APS) dosorder when pregnant. thus the use of heparin (injection) estrogen and baby aspirin on top of many doc appts and ultrasounds. if possible, a topic on the main page for APS or antiphosphilipid, or some type od high risk poll spacifically for blood clotting disorders while pregnant would be awesome. it's a lot more common than people think. just, we all feel alone or 1 in a million. (not exactly, but hard to find others in the same boat.) i appreciate your time, knowing you are or seem to be a very busy lady. thanks again. Rachael.

I think a good topic would be 'True Cephalopelvic Disproportion' meaning those women that have 'keyhole pelvises' and cannot give birth naturally, regardless of the baby's to-term size. There are about 2% of all modern women who have this, due to access to c-sections for our mothers, and in some cases, grandmothers which prevented child and/or mother losses (and the genes being passed on). The genes for this 'defect' are on the rise for this reason and it would be nice to have a forum to discuss with other women who are dealing with this. I would also ask that this not be put under "birth defects" as most people wouldn't think to look under there, since it is a problem GIVING birth, not a defect apparent AT birth. (Most women are not aware they have it until they have been the the stirrups for 6 hours). Thanks!

That would def be a good thing to add under autism, as well as a section for those who have some symptoms of it but are awaiting a diagnosis since it can take a long time to get it when they are so young ~ (those who are getting early intervention for diagnosed delays that are sim to it but to young to know for sure ~ my Hunter had Sensory integration dysfunction, motorplanning and oral dyspraxia, often kids with autism have these concerns but not all kids with it have autism. We are still awaiting to find out if he has it or not ~ He gets therapy 4 times a week and it is going to be 5 now. He goes to developmental ped on Monday, really hoping for a formal diagnosis but guessing I will not get it since at 16 months they dont like to give specifics yet so young. Maybe then add Aspergers and Toddlers with Delays awaiting formal diagnosis.

i see there is a forum for autism, what about getting one for asperger's. my child may have aspergers which is a mild form of autism and i would love to talk to other moms about the subject and how they deal with it.

I would like a forum for 'High Risk' pregnancies and something related to Kidney Failure/Kidney Disease during pregnancy.

How about a section just titled 'Baby spits up' Many babies do but it can be for various reasons. The section can list the way to try to tell if it is milk and soy related, over burping related or reflux. More as a guide on ways to try to see which it is knowing a doc can confirm for sure ~ steps to take on how to tell the difference :)

A section regarding breastfeeding a child with acid reflux would be nice. Many women seem to given up breastfeeding do to the pulling off and back arching. Also do to the spitting up. I know I felt like people who are BFing a healthy baby did not understand the frustration I was having and most on the gerds forum were bottle feeding.

I havent been able to find a section for night weaning...it would be really helpful to talk to other mothers about what methods they use to night wean...not wean all together as that seems to be a whole different process and set of problems...

Hi, I post alot in the babies photobook, as do many mums. I noticed that when you leave a comment on someones photo, it gives that photo a number. (I found the reference to the numbers in my comments added section on my page). It would be great if you were able to click on that number and be taken directly to that pic. Likewise with our own photos posted in the photobook. I could then click on my photo number and go directly to my photo to look at the comments. Save time haveing to scroll back through many pages of photos to find yours. Just a thought!
