Roseygirl - I would love to move to a bigger house but it is a lot of work. We have been in our house almost 8 years and my DH did most of the work then (he’s much appreciated). Counting down the days now.. It wont be long and our little Chelsea will be here. Maybe 6 weeks. My oldest son lost his job and I’m concerned about whether he will find another one before their baby comes in August. BUT .. All is well for us. Middle son went to prom the 16th. We had our youngest son’s birthday party on the 17th. I’m still working and for those two days a week WISHING I DIDN’T HAVE TO DO IT ANYMORE. June cannot come soon enough. Looking forward to being a mommy to a little girl finally and also a little scared at the same time about having two kids so close in age.

Hi all :) I have been missing due to moving house - what a pain that job is.... Still not really organised, but will get there! Florence is sitting really well, and looks as if she will be crawling soon - agh! :) I am looking forward to that, more for her sake as she is getting super grumpy not being able to get around like she wants to. We will be ttc'ing in a couple of months, really looking forward to it now that we have finally decided to do it. I am a little worried as I will pretty well be 44 when pregnant and running after a baby - not sure if I will have the stamina! :) amazintrace - congratulations :) you don't have long to go at all, I loved that time while pregnant, a nice round bump but not too uncomfortable :) I love how you already have names organised - I'm already planning names and aren't pregnant yet!! Asha2 - Hi :) I agree that all our lo's are miracles, I love the little new borns makes me super clucky to see and hear them. I had thought when Flossie was that little that I would love another baby, which is strange as I think the first three months are the hardest. I promise to be around a little more, as long as Florence lets me get some time alone... yep good luck with that I say :) Take care all - Cass xo

Due to hav my baby girl in June! Also expecting a granddaughter in August! I want to be able to enjoy both little girls in very different ways. I want to be an awesome grandma - like mine was.. my mom didn't do so well as a grandmother to my kids because she worked all the time and had a little one of her own. I want to be a great mom to my little Chelsea and an AWESOME grandma to their little Zoey! Maybe it will be different for us because my son is older, out on his own, and more mature than I was when I had him. ~ {:Tracey, Mom of 4 in 4 decades:} ~

Sinnamongirl - That's funny! I had some pretty weird dreams while I was preggo. I really am enjoying every moment. I'm sure there will be times when its not so rosy - but none yet. I'm so thankful that I have generous maternity leave so i can take a year off work to be with lo. Having a break from work is icing on the cake, though money will be tight by the end of it.

Asha- It's really funny to read about you ttc again already, because I had a dream last night that my lo was here and I was telling hubby he needed to give me a 'sample' to take to the dr for an IUI. I guess even though I'm preggo, that ttc for so long kinda took over a part of my brain. I know you are enjoying every second with your baby :)

Hello all. I haven't posted on this page before but recognise some names from the other pages. I'm 43 and have an 11 week old son. He's doing really well. I would love to have a sibling for him, and I feel fit and well so don't see any reason why I shouldn't try. Will give it a few more months though. I know I'm a better parent that I would have been when I was younger. Also the fact that it was a long journey to parenthood makes me appreciate my lo so much more. I am trying to savour every moment. He's changed so much in the few weeks he's been here. Every day is a miracle : )

congratulations sinnamongirl! I am 43 and will be working on a sib for my 18mo old son. I feel great and I have a husband who is more like a mom than I am I. I have to fight with him and kick him out of the house so that I will have some time with our LO.

Sinnamongirl - Thats funny! She just knows there's something going on I guess, lol. She will love a baby!! Even though my son is only 9mths, I miss when he was a 'tiny' baby already. Now he squirms around when I want a hug, lol.. before I could hug him and he couldn't wriggle around, lol. I am a nurturer by nature, so I'd LOVE another baby. I have to lose weight first however because I ended up with gestational diabetes last time. I've always been really thin, but I packed on the pounds last time around and still have the weight on me! I've joined the gym.. been working out and even jogging a little... I keep trying to diet too, but that is where I have trouble, lol. I love to eat.. unfortunately. Its never been an issue, but now I have to count all the calories I guess.

Rosey & Sassy- Thanks for the congrats. I think if you're physically able, then having a sibling for your LOs is a great gift. I had my DD in 2005, and wish that I would have had another right away so she could have a sibling close to her age like her 2 older brothers have each other. What's so funny is that we haven't told her about this pregnancy, but she keeps telling me there's a baby growing in my tummy :) I think she'll be more like a 2nd mommy than a big sister. She's such a nurturer.

sinnamongirl - I too offer congratulations on your pregnancy, such happy news :) Hi to everyone else, I think that makes 4 of us now that pop in here to chat, so very cool :) sassyscissors - We have the same thought on another baby, I am not really comfortable with her not having someone close to her in age. Just a little frightened to do it at 43... I did have a text book pregnancy though and my midwife at the time was a great catalyst in letting me know that I was a healthy woman (not old :), and could do it again. beetle - I agree that in my 20's I wouldn't have been emotionally ready, and way too busy partying!! Off to do some housework while Florence sleeps - Take care all, Cass :)

Congrats Sinnamongirl! I hope and pray all goes well for you :) I was a first time mom at 20.. and now I'm 42 with my fourth baby, who is 9mths old. I sure feel the difference between being 20 and being 42, haha. I had way more energy then and my back didn't hurt quite as much! Mind you, my son is big, he's almost 26lbs.. so thats alot to carry around all day. My three older kids help out and my husband too.. I am lucky. We have debated one more, so this little guy won't feel like an only child as his siblings are so much older, but we just don't know if we should. Time will tell I guess!

Beetle- I'm only 12dpo. So not even late yet. Found out super early at 9dpo. I had a loss last year in March, and got this way after 10 months ttc. I was on my 5 month of clomid, and did IUI with trigger shot. Just hope this one sticks. Hope your wish of another baby happens very quickly for you.

sinnamon - I am trying for my second and 42. Would LOVE another baby. I do love being a parent and feel very natural at it, I have a lot of patients and being financially set up helps. If I had a baby at the peak of fertility, I thinks its 26, I wouldn't have been the best, I was/am very immature. Well done to you with your pregnancy, how far along are you?

Hello, I am 42 and have 15, 13, and 5 year old. And I just found out I'm pregnant. It's funny, because I was considered AMA when my last was born. But seems that more and more women are having babies at our age. The only thing I can say is that it's gotten easier with each child. Experience seems to make up for decreased energy. It also helps that I take much better care of myself than when I was younger.

hi there,- Hi roseygirl
I never ever had a second thought about being an older mother until I had my daughter. I wondered if younger moms were struggling with the no sleep and the constant job being a mother is. I spoke to a few in my antenatal class, we were all feeling the same. But I did notice they all hit the gym sooner then me, and engaged in a social life quicker. I still feel exhausted, and my daughter is 11 months. But much better than the first few shocking months. How are you all coping out there...Im 42 btw, and feeling it today, hope tomorrows a mid thirties kind of day.

Hi all :) I am 42 and have just had my first chld, Florence a week ago. I have been doing very well, besides the tiredness and recovery from a csection, but have been blessed with a placid beautiful child that I thought I would never have :) She has made my world complete!
