Mine is 1,826.00 and I am having twinsbut I have many friends that just had babies and I LOVE yard sales....

mommyof4girls - 154 days ago.
Wow, mine is 3,236.00 for the year and already we have spent close to 2,000.00 on all of their stuff!! We are having twins. Oh and they are not even here yet. Also we are not doing daycare. I am a stay at home mommy:)

krissyRYEcarpenter - 156 days ago.
dang. mines only 1113. but, we still have t ons of new stuff we never got a chance to use with our first baby.

lilbasschick - 157 days ago.
wow...mine only came up as $1635 and I didn't even go with used stuff!!

kickboxerbaby - 158 days ago.
It's actually no where as bad as I thought it would be. But I wrote it down and am hoping that I can stick as close to what the calculator says as possible.

AF-Mommie - 165 days ago.
Seriously... If you figure that you are raising another life.... even 20,000 isn't a lot. Mine was 3736.00. I thought that was super cheap.... actually... I think it's wrong.... It should be way higher. Buy second hand though... makes a lot of sense. My inlaws gave us the crib... I just didn't check that box. Kids are angels... and worth every penny... I can't wait....

sem54 - 194 days ago.
Ha! Mine came out to $6500. I WISH! With $1000 a month on daycare, there goes that estimate :(

MILITARY~MOMMY - 200 days ago.
Depends if you need daycare or not. The average priced option suits my style best, but the daycare cost with that is 10,000 dollars, when I pay only $5,000 a yr for daycare. So I use the average button and subtract a total of $7,000 from it for other over-priced items on it. Keep in mind, when you have a second child it will be easier as you will already own most of the baby gear, which is why it is a good idea to buy gender neuteral colors.

baby-paraze786 - 200 days ago.
omg! mines came to 3886.00.

Mexitalianmommie - 206 days ago.
MINE CAME OUT TO 7800!!! OMG!? is that how much it really costs?

lilmiracle2009 - 210 days ago.
Hi All, I am 22 weeks pregnant. I already have a 6 year old daughter who we adopted 5 years ago. I have some things like a crib, change table and dresser from my daughter, but I still have to by the other essentials. I have already bought a few things. I bought a travel system, crib bedding and a swing so far. I bought them from Kijiji. The travel system and crib bedding were brand new, yet I got them for half the price they would cost in the store. The swing was gently used; it is in great condition. I plan to continue buying this way for as much as I can. I already worked out a baby budget and it is going to cost me an additional $800.00 to get the initial things (some essential, some luxury). To make it easier, I have been tucking away money so that I don't have to come up with the money all at once. I don't want to go into debt. Also, buying things in stages will help. I will probably have a shower too, so that will take a lot of the burden off.

Heaven - 242 days ago.
please read my new blog ladies and give me some advice

cbanks - 254 days ago.
mine seems pretty accurate lol about 7000 first year

NeverPreggers - 267 days ago.
This is rediculous. The first year is going to cost only $175. What about all the paint and the new bunk bed, and the cost of the hospital and OB, and all the pediatrician visits and the new medical insurance I have to get. Just because we're saving money on the baby products doesn't mean we are only going to spend $175! We've already spent $450 at the OB and we still have to pay the rest of the $400 and then go pre pay at the hospital.

erin b - 284 days ago.
There is also a site : inboxdollars.com where you get paid to read emails and complete offers. It's not a lot but every little bit helps! Also a site : mypoints.com where you build points by reading emails and going through the site if you do online shopping and the points build up to redeem gift cards.

jennllewis - 284 days ago.
Hey Ladies, If you are planning on staying at home I have found a great website that you will be able to earn a few extra bucks...there is no fee to be a member its great! http://cashcrate.com/1105198

jumpingbean - 312 days ago.
these prices must be american but it says 1795.00 for me for the first year and thats with me already having a crib, and 100 a year for clothes really what's that like three pair of pants and a few shirts. Thank goodness I have friends with children.

brianjen - 313 days ago.
$790! lol....There is no way. I have 2 other kids and it did not cost me anywhere near that. lol.:)

1more-makes4 - 331 days ago.
This is completely off. I wish you could adjust it. Like the whole 5 blankets or wash cloths or whatever. And I wish I could find childcare that cheap!

MotherOfTwoAndThenSome - 335 days ago.
the costs of these things aren't all right so how do you really figure out the price of your baby, i saw a really nice crib, change table and dresser set for 230$, brand new, not just a crib for 399$ thats madness, I guess I'd have to work out my own

shesxchaotic - 345 days ago.
It's hard to know for sure because it doesn't account for things you will get at baby showers, other moms, gifts, etc. My husband and I are TTC and 21 and 23 but I have a 4 year old sister and 6 year old brother. Because of the age gap, my mom bought all new stuff with them and is giving it to me. So I already have a brand new crib (convertible) and swing along with tons of clothes, toys, books, etc. The only big ticket things we want are a dresser/changing table and a stroller/car seat/carrier. Other things we will register for and hopefully get most of them between work friends, friends, family, etc. Monthly costs are undeniable though like diapers, wipes, etc.

cassie82 - 354 days ago.
Who would buy a second hand car seat or crib? :\ I mean clothes and toys I can understand (I will probably do that too) but second hand car seats and cribs just doesn't sound safe.

shellyseamonkey - 364 days ago.
wow 4,895 dollars for my triplets

Duemay09blessedNbeautiful - 369 days ago.
WOW 1,737 THATS A LOT! BUT HOPEFULLY MY BABY SHOWER WILL ELIMINATE ALOT OF THE COSTS FOR ME:)
