Thought I would give my 2 cents on this! We tried the Born Free, Dr. Browns, and Playtex Drop-ins. The drop-ins worked best for us. Our son has colic and all the other bottles would make him scream due to the air. The drop-ins seem to be a huge difference and the Enfamil Nutramigen formula. With the drop-ins the bag collapses as they drink causing no air to go into their bellies! Just my opinion if anyone is looking to get ideas on bottles. Although it can get pricy having to buy the liners to go in the bottles its totally worth it if it makes my little guy comfortable. After feedings too we give him gas drops so that helps too! Oh and burp often! creolebabydoll -

Hey All! My son weaned himself from breast feeding a week ago( he is 6 1/2 months now) We tried sooo many different bottles/nipples, finally we got the BORN FREE bottles and he LOVES them. The nipple has a nice shape to it, and he is loving it. I miss breast feeding though. I wasnt ready for him to stop, but the biting was really hurting and he then jus refused my breast. He doesnt take a soother either!! mamasoontobe -

In two and a half months we tried all different kinds of bottles! Avent were great but if you didn't line the nipple up right with the lid it leaked. Not fun at 3 am when you realize your baby is wearing more then he's eating. We tried Gerber Nuk, but LO didn't like the nipple. Chicco were also good, a nice glass bottle and easy to warm up but the slow flow nipple was too slow and the fast flow was too fast. Same with the Playtex Vent Aires. My LO did not like the Dr. Brown's at all. All of these different bottles had silicone nipples. My last attempt of trying something new, I went with Playtex Drop Ins with the Latex nipples. OMG, LO loved them! Now that is all we use. Walmart has a cheap drop in that works just as well as the regular Playtex, but only hold 8 oz whereas the Playtex is designed to hold 8-10 oz. Cheap bottles and oh so convenient. No more sterilizing!!! deeyore486 -

We use the Breast Flow bottles and LOVE them! They are awesome for going back and forth between breast and bottle because they have a wider base with a short nipple AND simulate a letdown! Keeps the nipple confusion at bay while keeping the bottle from being too easy which is where nipple preference comes from. Bottles become so much easier than the breast that they start refusing the breast. babsie79 -

i am just taking a peak in this forum. i am bfing my son peyton who is 2 months (already!).. i had to start pumping so dad can feed him while he is home with him all day. i really like dr. browns bottles..yes they take a lil bit more time to clean and what not. i guess i have a pretty go with the flow baby, he bounces inbetween what i like to call the three B's... boob, binky and bottle..... he uses the nuk binks and the bottles... no nipple confusion or anything. he knows which one has food and which doesnt...lol.. he would probaby still do just fine if i used the el cheapo gerber bottles with nothing fancy schmancy... but i like the idea of the venting system in dr. browns bottles. roseygirl -

I love avent, alot of people say they leak, and im not saying they dont for them ..they are very tempermental bottles you really have to get everything in place, but if you do(once your used to it takes all of a sec or 2) they are fine..theyre pricey too but i just love them and think they're well worth it..easy to switch between breast and bottle too...:) JAH -

I highly recommend Playtex Ventaire regular width (not the wide). These were also recommended by Milkworks and my lactation consultant for breastfeeding moms. bellabug13 -

My 3 week old daughter loves Gerber Nuk bottles and pacifiers. Nipples are shaped great and if you're going between breast & bottle these are great! They're also made to help teeth formation (orthodontic) so that's a plus! suzmBLUE! -

My LO was exlusively breastfed the first 5.5 months, but I went back to work at 2 months and she hated every bottle we tried until we found the MAM bottle at 4 months... she loves them. They supposedly have to pull milk from it like they would the boob... they are really well priced too and easy to clean. love them! leah7107 -

Has anyone else had a problem with the measurements coming off the bottles? The printing on the playtex ventair I just bought came off in one day. Same thing happened to the Dex bottles I ordered. Such a pain...the only bottles this hasn't happened to are the Avent ones but they leak half the time. aplace4myhead -

Just wanted to say that I wanted to EBF... but cant cuz I have to work... so we wanted to use the Adiri Natural Nursers... Used those for my first son last year! He loved them! I loved them!!! So we got a set for this baby... he hates them!! He would rather have the boob than that bottle... He however likes the Avent bottles. Since he wouldnt take the Adiri, and needed to eat, we tried the Avent bottles... He seems to like those and gobbles milk down... We also got the Soothie bottles (as back up since Avent isnt cheap) and he will drink out of them, but more or less picks at it than actually eats... So this baby likes the Avent bottle, and still takes boob when I get home after work!! He hasnt had any problem going back and forth... 3girlmama -

I haven't seen anyone make mention of the bottles I use for my baby girl. They're made by a company called Adiri, I LOVE them. They look like and boob! Since my DD started off BF, taking this bottle was really easy and natural. They are soft all the way around... thay're so great. I would HIGHLY reccommned these bottles! :0) Heather12 -

dayzahnise, For my son until he held his own bottle I used glass because they were in the midst of having that problem with the bpa in the plastic. I loved Glass bottles. As he got older though we had to by the bpa free plastic becuase he wanted to hold them and the glass bottles were too hevy. We r TTC our second child and i plan on using glass again. Jamiee -

Hi, we used, and are still using Tommy Tippee Closer to nature bottles. They are supposed to be similar to mummy's boob! lol! My boys went onto these bottles first time, and a nanny friend of mine recommended them. You can get formula dispensers for them too. :-) a2mber -

I was lucky..i did not have a fussy baby so i didnt have the hassle of finding the right bottle for her, but i started out using the Vent Air bottles, and they worked fine, but seemed to have too many parts to clean, so i tried using the playtex drop ins for convenience and i LOVED them. Its a hassle when you realize you are out of drop ins and have to pick them up at the store, but i bought target brand drop ins at a way cheaper price. This time around im going to try to breast feed again, so lets hope i get another fussy free kid ;)
