I work at a nursery and we see all sorts of bottles. I have to say I do not like the dr browns because of the leaking and how dificult they are to clean. I have always been a fan of the playtex ventaire, super easy! Though my most favorite would have to be the breastflow. They are great! If you want to continue breast feeding and bottle feeding at the same time they are great because they really help with nipple confusion. RobinG -

Having had 3 babies and the oldest 13 I've seen and used various one on the market ~ I think Dr. Browns are the best above all others :) There is no other that compares when it comes to reducing gas and bubbles :) indigocream -

I found the wee-go bottle covers for the glass bottles. i think theyre awesome idea. Theres Thinkbaby bottles, greentogrow bottles, born free bottles, and dr brown bottles but you have to get the cloudy colored bottle thats made out of Polypropylene, its suppose to bpa free. Glass bottles are always a good choice. I was also wondering. when you put the bottles in the microwave steralizer container. isnt that consider microwaving your bottles which is bad?????? thanks KayandRysMoM -

Ok ladies i have a question. I am using the Dr browns bottles and i really like them but they are now leaking at times and that just drives me crazy. It seems that milk is filling the little plastic funnel looking peice that goes in the middle and then milk leaks out under the ring around the nipple and gets all over. Has anyone else experienced this with these bottles? Am i doing something wrong that can be corrected? I havent had any problems with gas/spit up with my LO so far so i would really like to keep these bottles but the leaking drives me crazy...i switched off of Avent with my first bc of this. Any advice would be helpful!! shellshocked -

I found a link for BPA-free bottles. http://babyproducts.about.com/od/feedingdrinks/tp/BPA_free_baby_bottles.htm
At home, my boyfriend and I only drink out of glasses. I try not to microwave anything, but if I do, I make sure I don't microwave anything plastic. Plastic is poison and horrible for the environment as it takes over 100 years to break down. So, I wouldn't want my baby to drink out of plastic either. The wee*go glass bottle looks like the way to go. Elliott-James-mummy -

My baby would NOT take a bottle until around 4 months since he was exclusivley breastfed and was stubborn...I tried every kind of bottle on the market..I finally bought a bottle called 'BreastFLO'..It took him a couple of weeks, but he gave in and started drinking from it.
Thought I'd share:) erikavb -

I HAVE FOUND THE GREATEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD FOR BOTTLE FED BABIES!!!!! They are called Tommee Tippee Compact Feed Dispensers. Basically its a compact airtight dispenser that sit inside your bottle(tommee tippee only) you put the right ounce feed in there, the right amount ounce water in the bottle and then sit the dispenser inside(like russian doll effect) then put the teat n cap on as normal. this eliminates wasting feeds as we all know formula lasts 2hr whrn made. water lasts 24hrs b4 stale. we use them when going out n make enough for the night feeds so we dont have to deal with screaming baby mid night. We wrap the bottle in a towel and sit on radiator for the night so its nice and warm for him. when needing a feed take out the dispenser n pour feed in water n shake as normal. I dont know if they are old news im late catching on but ive just found them and they are amazing. 6 dispensers for about £2. just wash n sterilise. mountainmama -

my girl wouldn't have anything to do with the first year bottles. but every baby is different. as for bpa, i'm personally trying to avoid it. of course, at one point i had no choice, i couldn't get my baby to take a bottle! canada has banned all bottles with bpa. i think many countries in europe have too. i think bpa leaches more into the milk when the bottle is heated. kellnjoelplusone -

Well, I purchased the first years breastflow bottles. I will be only be feeding my baby breastmilk once in a while from it. Kind of a 'just-in-case' thing. This whole BPA thing has me freaking out a little. What do you think about these bottles? It can't be that bad or they wouldn't sell them, right? mountainmama -

yup, the nuk nipple no more. for the past week it's been the playtex drop ins. i'm bummed about the disposable liners, i try hard to be as eco/green as possible, but if she'll drink during the day...........oh well.........we've decided this will be her bottle. no more switching!
