I am pregnant 8 weeks 3 days and I am in the military as well as my financee. I will be getting out to take care of the baby however, and I'm pretty sure it will be difficult. It was difficult enough being apart from each other as a couple and it will definitely be difficult with a child.

Hello all. Im new to the site.. I am a TTC after a tubal reversal Marine wife, Im currently at Camp Pendleton, we recently came from Cherry Point.

leighnbip - 634 days ago.
amk1984 : thanks honey! It is hard being a military wife and being a mom and all the other fun things..I got pregnant with this one on R&R back in Feb. So hubby missed the first trimester but is due home for good SOOOOON!!!

amk1984 - 650 days ago.
I just want to give all of you ladies a huge thumbs up and a pat on the back. I am not a military wife but my husband travels frequently for work (1-2 weeks at a time) and it is pure HELL!!!! I hate it I could not do what you ladies do, any longer then a week or two and I turn into the biggest mess!

armywife7 - 650 days ago.
dollface- i have been an army wife for almost 6 years now and i wont lie... it doesnt get any easier when they leave. i have 2 children.. 2 boys... 3 1/2 and 1 month... i got pregnant with my first one during R&R .. so he was in iraq the WHOLE pregnancy.. and yes.. it was hard.. but i was so busy with the pregnancy and preparing for baby and everything... it went by pretty quick... now i have a one month old too and my hubby is leaving next week for a month and then in a couple months.. back to iraq... and i know it will be rough but TRUST me... my boys keep me plenty busy.. i think its harder to go through them being gone alone. Bc the kids keep you busy and it helps the time pass quickly... now you will have good days... bad days... and HORRIBLE days.. but thats what being married to the military is all about... we are the strongest women out there. We hold down the fort while they are gone... if you have ANY questions or need anything,, feel free to msg me

Soon to be Navy wife...*sigh* I have no idea what Im getting myself into. Im hearing horror stories about family in the military. Can anyone ease this? And what am I to do when we are both having baby fever and he's leaving until November for basic. This distance already suxxx. Im gonna miss him and thoughts of having a child together will not go away :(

Hey ladies, my DH is with the British Air Force, but we're stationed as a US Air Base in Germany . How have others found the German hospitals, am already finding it different and I'm only 6wks!

BellaForte - 685 days ago.
Hey ladies! I'm an active duty Marine, myself. My husand and I are so excited about our first pregnancy but my command has been less than supportive about the whole thing... And I can't understand why. My unit is not deploying again until 2012, so I haven't messed up anything for a deployment. I am a married woman, an NCO, and a good Marine with a great track record. The Marine Corps is always preaching about how they support Marines having families and all that, but I'm telling you it's way different on this side. It's reasons like this why I cannot wait to get out now. I don't want to live my life being 'ashamed' for being a mother. My husband and I want a family and if my career doesn't support that, I need to find a new career.

military~mommy - 689 days ago.
Shannon, yea I am not looking forward to PCSing with my 2 year old DD and a 2 month old... I am already dreading that flight and it is not until August...

military~mommy - 689 days ago.
Titan~ I do feel lucky to be here, I love Europe and the experience has been great. BUT my baby brother is stationed in WA and I have not yet gotten to meet my 2 little nephews, my brother has not seen my daughter either. It is just impossible for me, my husband and my brother to all arrange leave at once! So hoping once we are all Conus again it will be easier (and cheaper!) to get together.

MarineWife2010 - 689 days ago.
avmslva05: how far along are u and what is ur due- date i am 18weeks and days and i am due 8-26-2010

shanonholtz - 693 days ago.
yeah its at least a year but to move on my own with 3 kids and the new baby would be a pain so we will just stay here and do some more sight seeing i think..plus the kids ar comfortable at there schools its the only school they have ever been to and my daughter will be starting kindergarden in sept so easier to stay here...

armywife7 - 693 days ago.

Oh you two are so lucky to be in Europe. I was in Italy for 4 yrs and LOVED IT... Didn't realize how much till I got back state side. Enjoy your time there ladies... :)

military~mommy - 693 days ago.
I hear you, I'm sorry you will have to stay longer... Is your DH's deployment a year? If so, can you opt to return to the states for the time he is gone?

shanonholtz - 693 days ago.
we are in baumholder germany weve been here 4 years now and the deployment will keep us here another year and a half ready to go back to the states too...miss walmart...and 24 hour stores

military~mommy - 693 days ago.
Ulgh to another year! Don't get me wrong, being in Europe has been great and all but 4 years here is more than enough. I am ready to head home and be closer to family. Where are you guys at in Germany?

shanonholtz - 693 days ago.
this will be baby number 4 we were suppose to go back to the states in sept ..but hubby is deploying soon so we will be here another year fun fun..lol

shanonholtz - 693 days ago.
gotta love the military life its like our own little world..lol

military~mommy - 693 days ago.
No, preggo in the UK though! We PCS back state-side in August and that will be quite the flight with a 2 yr old and a newborn!

shanonholtz - 693 days ago.
anyone pregnant in germany?

Jennylg12 - 695 days ago.
Hi, I'm in the Canadian military and just got put on bedrest at 24 weeks. My unit seemed supportive but at the same time not. I'm worried this will be held against me and get me posted off base or even hold back a promotion. It's like you're suppose to be a robot with no family sometimes. I got pregnant a few months after my last tour and my stress level has been super high with my unit deploying again. I'm hoping this rest helps my little boy grow because he's half the size he should be at 24 weeks.
