Mandy~ Mommy soldiers get 6 weeks maternity leave. Giving the father's 10 days pat leave is because the military gives 10 days pat leave for adoptions, and men were complaining that if they adopted they would get time off, but not if they had a biological child.

Hey everyone ~ Are most of you aware that soldiers are now entitled to paternity leave? If you're not familiar with it, go to military.com and search paternity leave. Soldiers get 10 consecutive days, uncharged leave and can be used with R & R. Most Commanders, let alone soldiers, have no clue about it. Hope this helps!! Believe me, we'll be using it!! Just be sure that your soldier puts in for it ahead of time.

So my Dh is leaving in January, and I am due in March. His unit is going to try to get him back right before the due day for about two weeks, But I have asked my parents to come be here in case he does not make it back in time.

Hi!! I don't know if I am doing this correctly I'm new to the site. I was just wondering if any of you ladies are in Quantico, Va?? My dh and I are getting relocated in November and just wondering if someone could help me out with finding a good ob-gyn. Since by then I'll be pretty far along. Thanks in advanced.

We got word this week that my husband will be deploying in January and he's going to have to go to training before that. Training could be as long as 4 1/2 months. Of course we're still waiting to hear when training starts. It could be any time now and I'm due to give birth in 3 weeks. If he has to leave before I have this baby we're going to be so bummed! I hate the idea of elective induction before the due date but I think I may have to ask about it. Just venting, sorry!

Well my husbands deployment got pushed up. Its set for end of Oct, but its looking like he will be advanced party which leaves in sept. Im really stressing out about this delivery. Anyone have any advice? My family is 3000 miles away and I have a 17 month old. Im so scared about going into labor and not having anyone to take care of my daughter. Also, anyone know of some good ways to go into labor? Come 37 weeks I would like for him to come so my husband will be here.

DH is about to leave for a whole month, hell be back when Im 36 weeks. not too bad considering he missed the entire pregnancy and babies 1st 6weeks with his first born. weve been trying to get everything ready before he leaves so that theres nothing for me to worry bout while hes gone
