From the time we got her home, my little one did not like sleepng on her back. We threw out the rules and allowed her to sleep on her tummy. She is now three months and already rolling over in her cosleeper. She wakes up screaming when she rolls from her tummy to her back, but at least she is developing. She even rolls to me at times. If she allows me to place her oh her back she will roll over on her side to look at me when i am laying next to her. She ironically does not like the tummy time pad. She is spoiled an prefers us to hold her all the time.

dizzy=you can modify tummy time by laying your baby across your lap, or lying reclined with your baby on your chest. The reason that tummy time helps with crawling is because babies begin pushing up onto their arms in that position, which builds arm strength eventually needed for supporting their body during movement. Eventually they push up onto knees, and then rock back and forth on hands and knees. When all of these little pieces come together, they start to crawl ( by 10 mos).

My lil one rolled over at 5 weeks!!! he just did it, no pressure from us and he had only had tummy time once. he was just laid on his back on the sofa next to me and rolled over! Im so proud, gobsmacked too, he couldnt get back on his own, but its a start, Now at 6 weeks ive put him on his jungle mat on his tummy, and he fell straight to sleep!!Lol. Hes smiling so i know hes ok, sooooo cute. Hes been holding his head up from 1 week, only for a second but it was there and now hes controlling it all on his own. This is probabl normal, but i feel like hes my miracle x x
