Vaccination Schedule Birth- 2 Months
1st dose of each:

• HEPATITIS B VACCINE (often given at the hospital)
• HIB VACCINE
• POLIO VACCINE
• DTaP VACCNINE
• PNEUMOCOCCAL VACCINE

Hepatitis B Vaccine
Hepatitis B makes people very tired and also causes jaundice. It can also cause your liver to stop functioning.

Hib Vaccine
Children who get the vaccine are protected against Haemophilus Influenza type B bacteria. This is the bacteria that causes meningitis and can cause brain damage. The bacteria can infect the blood, joints, bones, muscles, throat and the heart.

Dtp Vaccine
The DTP vaccination protects against diptheria, tetanus and pertussis. Diptheria is an infection that affects the throat, mouth and nose. Diptheria can cause a person to stop breathing and can cause pneumonia, heart failure and paralysis. Tetanus can cause lockjaw and other muscles to spasm. You can get tetanus from dirt, gravel and rusty metal. It enters the body through a cut or wound. Pertussis is also known as whooping cough. It is a bacteria that clogs the lungs and creates a severe cough that can last for two months.

Polio Vaccine
Polio can paralyze the legs and chest; therfore, making walking and breathing difficult or impossible. Polio is very rare since the vaccine became available.

Mmr Vaccine
The MMR immunization protects against measles, mups and rubella. Measles is a very contagious disease that causes a high fever, cough, and a spotty rash all over. It may also cause ear infections and pneumonia. Mumps causes painful swollen salivary glands, fever and a headache. Mumps can also cause meningitis or hearing loss. Rubella is also called German Measles. It is most dangerous for women who are pregnant. Rubella can cause a mother to have a miscarriage or deliver a baby with heart disease, blindness, hearing loss or learning problems.

Pneumococcal Vaccine
The pneumococcal vaccination is a method of preventing pneumonia- which is caused by Pneumococcus bacterium.

Probability of getting the swine flu!!! this is cool to know!! http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/271943 i am not getting the swin flue, i dont trust it, i think many of you should research on it b4 deciding , i thikn it to much of a risk!!! its 2 new we dont know how well it work everyone is diff!!!i think just cuz a doc says its ok dont mean they know for sure this vac is 2 new , they didnt go make and work on the vac, there just doing wut they are told its there job!! I have a question regarding Rota Teq for immunization my Dr skiped it and said if i get it from helthcenter they wont be treating or be responsible for any side effects.. any one with information on Rota Teq please help... did your Dr suggest giving or was opposing it??

Hello all.........my baby had her 2 month shots yesterday and she handled it really well, but has been really sleepy ever since......did this happen to anyone else?
