Hello all! I had a question about my 6 month old. We started feeding him solids around 4 months and he ate them like a champ but lately he refuses them either spitting it out and crying or not opening his mouth at all. Has anyone else gone through this? Oh, I am also currently expecting and was wondering if that had anything to do with him reverting back to bottle only. Any advice is greatly appreicated!

My cousin recently told me about the program at http://savingmorethanbefore.com At her recommendation I signed up for their sampler program and I have to share the amazing results with everyone. Using this program last night for the first time, my husband and I had an overflowing cart of groceries and non food general items. In all it rang up to $538.16 but thanks to this program we only paid $ 32.88! We weren't the only ones shocked, the cashier's mouth dropped. It is literally about paying pennies on the dollar for everything!

Babies are blessings and we love them but have you notice how expensive it is to raise a child today?it is getting more expensive to take care of children, as reported by the DOA. A child now costs $40,000 more to take care of until age 18 than it cost in 1960, modified for inflation. If you want to have kids anytime soon, just plan on taking out personal loans to do so.

hello, wasnt sure where to post this but hope someone can help. i take the pill but think i could be pregnant as was on antibiotics a few weeks ago and got caught up in the moment with hubby. anyway i finished my pill now so am on the 7day break from it. will i still get the bleed even if pregnant? thanks ladies

akimber...theres nothing wrong if your not breastfeeding..unfortunately some older people like to put their two cents in...but dont let it bother you too much :)

akimber04 - I breastfeed for several years so I'm not one to drink in the first few months but I do take my boys everywhere. If the boys can't eat there with me then I don't go. I see nothing wrong with it. I also don't see anything wrong with a drink. I have had a drink with my boys with me but it's only one and never when I'm driving. The old man probably assumed you were breastfeeding since it may have been culturely what you did when he was young. Who's to say. Anyways, now that we know the science behind it, only 2% of what you drink goes into milk. Sooo, most breastfeeding moms can get by with breastfeeding, having a drink and an hour later being able to feed again. Of course, depending on the mom and the drink. It does metabolize out of the body like it does your blood. The old man just probably doesn't know this. Sorry you got the weird look. You'll find that EVERYONE and their mothers will tell you how you should raise your baby and what you are doing wrong whether it is or not.

This may be a silly question but I would like some input. Is it ok to while out for a nice dinner to have a drink if you have your baby along with. I am the mother of a 3 month old and my DH and I sometimes go out for dinner with him along. I am not breastfeeding. We were out for dinner the other night and I had a drink in front of me while eating dinner; holding my son also. I got a nasty look and comment from a crotchety old man. Is there something wrong with this? Its not as if I am out to party, I stop at one. Its just frustrating!! I feel as if I am a very responsible and caring mother.

omg 421honey..mine does the same..he is almost a year and i dont know what to do..he only eats puree !! everyone is wondering why but its the only thing he doesnt throw up! im beside myself :(

My son is 18 months and still gags ( sometimes projectile vomit) if I give him anything with chunks..although pasta is fine...and the rest I have to knife and fork to death! It's been very frustrateimg esp since we can't afford to only buy gerber food...I try to give him as much home made food as possible. I've just been increasing the texture slowly over time..he won't even eat goldfish or cereal and shows no interest in feeding himself.

Dus-Tine - my son had the same problem and still gags now on some foods at the age of 2.5, especially foods like thick porridge etc. He didn't eat his first 'non' pureed food until he was 1 year and 4 months, so I wouldn't worry. Some kids just take a litttle longer!!

natalie..some advice is the best monitor to get (if you worried about hearing her when she sleeps) is the angelcare monitor...it also dectects breathing...so if there is not breathing detected , an alarm will sound. i had it for my daughter. :) congrats and good luck

kizydu...my first pregnancy was a miscarrage but then a few months after i found out i was having my daughter...:) dont be scared, think possitive! and make sure you go to your reg doctor apts ...good luck!

hello ladies :) i have an 11th month old who is still on puree foods. i tried to use different textures but he gags then throws a little up. i read about gag reflex ...i use to have it as a child. so im still on puree foods. anyone else having this problem? how can i start giving him more if he has this problem?

Ladies, I have two questions to see if anyone can help. First one, I am looking for a good! glass bottle warmer. Nothing I see online has high enough ratings to grab my attention and I don't want to buy another warmer that doesn't warm in the first run & leaks all over the place like our last Munchkin one. AND I need immunization advice...our 1.5 week old is getting his this Friday and I'm looking to glean for any research you may have done on the topic. Are you just going for all the recommended ones or picking & choosing and if so, which ones & why?
