stina- Good luck with taking it easy with a 2yr old!! My oldest is 2 as well and I can barely sit still for more than a few seconds. I have learned though when he naps I should lay down too.

stina007 - 766 days ago.
Thank you so much, I am not going to worry then, unless of course it gets worse, and it's not. It probably doesn't help that I am running around trying to keep up with a 2yr old. I am definitely taking it easy now, though.

alexandnicksmommy - 766 days ago.
stina-I am kinda in the same situation. Mine comes and goes. I am not concerned as I feel its just a part of the 2nd section. If its gets heavier or big clots I will call my doctor. I would say if you are concerned call your doctor.

stina007 - 766 days ago.
Had a repeat c-section on Dec. 28th, First 2days heavy bleeding then just 3-4 days of light bleeding then it stopped, but now the bleeding is back like a heavy period(started last night). Kind of freaked out by it. It is dark red/brown in color sometimes stringy, no major blood clots. I'm feeling great and not even taking my pain pills. Just don't know what is normal and if anyone else can relate.

Mama2B 01-10-10 - 768 days ago.
my daughter was born via c-section on december 23rd. just wondering if anyone else feels like they can't really stand up straight. it feels tight around my incision, and it feels like if i keep the natural curve in my lower back and stand up normally like i may tear my muscles a bit. also, walking around a lot is very difficult too... like when i go grocery shopping, i have to lean on the shopping cart since i can't stand straight and i must walk very slowly. anyone else feel like this? is this normal 2 weeks out?

katyjones12 - 772 days ago.
katko0otaAD: THERE IS NO LIMIT ON HOW MANY BABIES YOU CAN HAVE WHEN YOU HAVE A C SECTION, HAVE YOU EVER SEEN THE SHOW 18 AND COUNTING ON TLC? HAHA SHE HAS HAD SOOO MANY C SECTIONS AND 19 CHILDREN. YOU JUST HAVE TO GIVE YOUR BODY TIME TO HEAL.,, BRI: YOU CAN GET PREGNANT WHILE BF/ ITS NOT 100% NO BIRTH CONTROL IS UNLESS YOUR NOT HAVING SEX AT ALL..

AD girL - 783 days ago.
Bri - thanks for your response, and wish you all the BEST for your delivery.

*Precious.Moments* - 783 days ago.
True.. But it is still possible.. I wasnt trying to contridict what you said but wanted women to be aware that it is still totally possible and BF isnt a fool proof BC method =)

Bri - 783 days ago.
But that is very rare. What usually happens is that your cycle is coming back and you ovulate before you bleed. If you make it on that month then yes you can get pregnant but again that's rare. Most have to wait until they see their first cycle. That could be six weeks or two years. For me it was nine months....

*Precious.Moments* - 783 days ago.
Just FYI it IS possible to get pregnant while breastfeeding..

Bri - 783 days ago.
havinghisbaby4422 - Watch your weight and hold tight not to have one. Sections aren't the worst thing in the world but going for a natural birth is healthier for you and baby. Sections are major surgery anyways. I find it odd that your doctor would say this after only 12weeks. As long as your GD is controlable then there is no reason to have a section, at least predicting one now. I'd ask other doctors as well if you aren't comfortable with that comment. Unfortunately some doctors are apt to jump into a section then others.

Bri - 783 days ago.
katko0otaAD - What your suppose to do and what people actually do is completely different. Most doctors would want you to wait at least 18months before getting pregnant no matter how your delivery was. The reason behind this is that your uterus and body need time to heal and then you add the section on top of that and well you want to wait. But, as we all know many people have babies a year a part and are completely healthy, even with sections. I'm due in 5days. I waited 17months before trying and well got pregnant the first time. Also, if you are breastfeeding then you may not have a choice but to wait. If your cycle has not come back (which it often doesn't when breastfeeding) then you won't get pregnant. As for the number of sections well again, I'm sure doctors say only three but what if you got pregnant again. They can't make you abort. Of course I'm pro VBAC. I think most women should consult their doctors and find out what is best for them. If you had your section because of a breech baby then you may want to consider a VBAC. If baby was stuck then a section might be a better option for you. Good Luck!

AD girL - 783 days ago.
Hello I was just wondering how many months are you supposed to wait to get pregnant again after a C-section? Or is there no minimum? And is it true you can only have 3?

havinghisbaby4422 - 792 days ago.
i am only 12 weeks pregnant due 6/26/10. my doctor said i have a 98% chance of having a c section because i have gestational diabetes. i am scared i guess, i googled it and watched a video so now im freaked out. i can take pain its just i dont know why it is getting to me so much. well hope all is well with you all!

momof2hopfully3 - 797 days ago.
3rd babba due 9-1-10 . i dont think there is any way they would let you put the baby right on your chest after for one the screen gose right up to your chest almost covering it and you have to keep your arms to the side not moving them also babys born by c-sections dont get the fluids pushed out like they do vaginally so they have to go the the ped. right away to get all the fluids sucked out and make sure they are ok being they just got ripped from the stomack with out any warning. personaly for my i was shaking so bad i think the baby would have fallen right off.

3rd babba due 9-1-10 - 797 days ago.
thanks, had better get a shift on then as will find out on monday if i will need c.s. has anyone requested the screen to be lowered during the birth and then have baby delivered straight onto chest for breastfeeding? i had never heard of this until i started looking into cesareans and realised it is possible. If a section is needed then i would love for it to be as natural as possible, even bringing him out slower to allow him to adjust. i just really want that initial bond with him

momof2hopfully3 - 797 days ago.
3rd babba due 9-1-10 they will more then likely do your c-section 2 weeks befor your due date or thats when they are doing mine at least. i never made it past 35 weeks wiht my first two so ...........

3rd babba due 9-1-10 - 797 days ago.
hi, im almost 36 weeks and will find out n monday if i will need a cesarean (baby is breech) i was just wondering at what time do they schedule a section for- on the due date or before? i'm due 9th january and my daughter will be 3 on christmas day so obv i dont really want it to be over christmas again, and i dont think they would book me in for a section over christmas as they usually close most of the wards in the hospital and just have one/two open. its only hypothetical at the moment as he still has time to turn yet .....

momof2hopfully3 - 797 days ago.
has any one had back to back c-sections? this will be my third in three years and i was wondering if there was any one out there as nuts as i am lol : )

michelle007 - 797 days ago.
My first C-section was 9 years ago and you can't even really see my scar. You can also tell doctor to do a good job and make it low and as small as possible. My mom told doctor to do this and he did a beautiful job. I could've sworn he gave me a mini- tummy tuck also. I used to have a small bulge there and after I healed, it was gone! LOL! There is nothing VAIN about wanting to look good, or taking care of yourself.

*Precious.Moments* - 798 days ago.
Mines about the same.. Its not awful or anything.. I think it differs depending on the doctors techniques.. I wear low rise jeans and its a good couple inches below the waist line.. My scar is still a little raised but thats probably due to the fact that I didnt use anything on it (eg. vitamin e oil)

3rd babba due 9-1-10 - 799 days ago.
have just found out my babba is breech and although there is still time for him to move, i am also looking at the possibility of having a c-section if he doesnt. question, what is the scar like once it has all healed? i know it sounds really vain but i am just wondering

naunilee - 804 days ago.
I wasn't even in the hospital a full 48 before I went home after my c-section, I was stir crazy and couldn't wait to get home! I was also able to breastfeed my daughter within the first hour with no problems.

michelle007 - 804 days ago.
Thank-you everyone! I figured I would get out on Christmas Day, that would be good, but I will stay as long as I need to. I remember last time I could not wait to go home and than I was sorry cause no one to take care of me:) But this time I know what to expect when I go home.

*Precious.Moments* - 804 days ago.
I stayed in the hospital for 5 days (including labor and c-section) The nurses and doctors recommended I stay because I wasnt doing so hot after the surgery (prolly due to the fact that a c-section was such a shock to me as it had never even crossed my mind I would need one plus they totally o.d.'d me on the epi and demerol).. And my baby girl was slightly jaundiced.. So they wanted to observe her.. Plus the insurance okay'd 5 days for a c-section (whereas a vaginal was 48 hours).. Anyways I think it all differs woman to woman and delivery to delivery.. Never can tell.. Could be 48 hours could be upwards of 5 days.. Depends on how well and quickly you recover and what your insurance covers.. Just remember although it is a ''common'' procedure it is still MAJOR abdominal surgery.. Take the time you need (and are granted) in the hospital to recover cuz once youre home youre on your own.. Good luck and congratulations!!! =)
