How do I lose the poochy belly? I'm 15lbs lighter then before I even got pregnant but can't seem to shake the extra fat! Any advice?

anxiousmami - 636 days ago.
Well I am into my 2nd pregnancy and weigh more now than I did full term with my 1st. However one thing that would have been helpful for me to know is when your breastfeeding that baby sucks all your fat out of you and I got back down to 115 easy from that alone, however I never changed diet to ween my daughter off the boob. I kept drinkin whole milk and eating cheese on everything not understanding I don't have my little liposuction helper to keep the unwanted fat off and I def. Packed on pounds after that. This time I will have a better understanding of calorie intake! But yay for breastfeeding again.

jones - 886 days ago.
you need to change your workouts up a lot too you might need to switch to a different harder video and add more weights to any lifting you are doing my DH says most weight loss stops happen because your body gets used to what you are doing

rosa16 - 902 days ago.
Love for lucas, my best advise to you is to relax and don't think too much about loosing weight. The more you think about it, the hungrier you will be. Try frecuent small meals and plenty of water. Water will help clean up you system. My mother had lost about 15 ponds drinking every night a glass a water with a tablespoon of organic apple vinager. Some people say it helps burn calories. For this to work the apple vinager must be organic. Have a lot of faith in God, you will soon loose all the extra pounds!

Hey ladies...I last made a post 43 days ago (about 8 posts down) thanks for your advice...but I STILL haven't been able to loose the weight!! This is making me so upset! I have gone to the gym 4-5 times a week plus I do an abs video monday - friday! I still can't get under 147 (I've grown to HATE that number!!!!) I dont know if I should take something to help me. Does anyone have any suggestions??? Please??

campimama - 907 days ago.
ashley- PILATES!!! You can find videos pretty much anywhere and you can do them at home. It's great for toning up the belly and getting it back into shape.

*ashley* - 908 days ago.
Any one know of any exercises that actually work to make your tummy flatter after baby?? I had my baby 6 months ago and weigh less than before I had her but my stomach looks so funny!! thanks!

aamn105 - 910 days ago.
I just want anyone that thinks you loser your cute small farm after having a kid you can get it back!! I was sooo scared what I would look like I weighed 124 at the start and when I gave birth I was up to 194. I tried working out I would do good then go off it.. So it was off and on working out but I am back to the 120s and alot of my stretch marks are not gone but they can't be seen. I am still working of firming my belly. I just took an after pic and compared it to a pic right after birth and the difference is crazy.. So keep your hopes up lady. I think I really started losing weight when my little man got bigger picking him up and down and chasing him is a great workout..

Heather12 - 920 days ago.
I gave birh 13 months ago to my 3rd baby. I have 32 more pounds to lose. I really thought that when I quit breastfeeding that I would lose the rest of it. But I actually gained some. I had bounced back to my pre pregnancy weight so fast after my other babies. I did gain more weight with this baby. I gained 67 lbs. Man was I huge.

acidmoonfairy - 925 days ago.
my baby is 9 months old. before i got pregnant i was 134. i gained 22 lbs during pregnancy. i now weigh 118. i bet you guys hate me, ahahhahaha

heather518 - 939 days ago.
luv4lukas: Wow, I am in the same boat as you. Before I got pregnant, I weighed around 145, and the last time I looked at the scale when I was pregnant was a month before I delivered and I was 210 pounds! Now, I cannot FOR THE LIFE OF ME get under 149. I want to be at the most 120. I am very proud of myself for losing what was essentially a 9 year old off of my body over the past year, but I've hit a major plateau and I can't get over it. Any suggestions anyone? I have been stuck between 149 and 152 (depends on what time of day and which scale I use) for an entire month now and I don't know how to fix it! Help!

jacquelyn - 942 days ago.
luv4lukas- I've lost 89lbs in less than 3 months, but that being said, I will NEVER weigh as little as you do. You will lose weight at a slower rate because you are a smaller person. Comsuming less calories than you use is the only way to lose weight and a person your size only uses 1500-2000 calories a day depending on how active you are. So you would have to restrict yourself to no more than 1200 a day to see a defference on the scale in a reasonable time frame. The only other thing I've found to help boost weight loss is Trim Spa, but I don't know how safe it is. It just makes me lose about 15-20% more weight per week. Which is a lot for me, but may not be worth the risk for those who don't have very much to lose.

luv4lukas - 945 days ago.
I weighed 142 pre-pregnancy. My son is 3.5 months old and I weigh the exact same I did a week after he was born!!! I can't....for the life of me....get under 147! Ughh..I excersize regularly, I eat great. I was actually on a low carb diet for 2 weeks and that did squat! I'm so annoyed. how long did it take for everyone to drop the weight?? OH, I breast fed for 2 months.

campimama - 983 days ago.
imreadythistime- I had a similar problem, I would start 'dieting' and then couldn't maintain. About a month ago I started watching what I ate and exercising and dropped 16 lbs. My lo is 9 months old. I still have a bit more to go, but I'm committed to getting it done. My recommendation would be not to take it to extremes. Do a little bit. Walk around the block, eat one healthier meal a day. Also, if you can, try and find a workout buddy or someone you can use as a sounding board. Good luck! Also, if you are interested, I have a blog that I started to help me in my weight loss journey...feel free to check it out. www.tiffskinnyjeans.blogspot.com

Its been a month since I gave birth.I lost 18 lbs after elivery and still got 33 lbs to lose to reach pre pregnancy weight. What frustrates me most is my husband doesn't understand that it takes time to lose weight.he pushes me to go to gym and reduce weight quick.God help me.

Lissie - 989 days ago.
I lost all but a couple of pounds after my first pregnancy. Breastfeeding really helped. I also found that learning to eat until i am satisfied and not full was the key to weight loss. Also in 2002-2003 I lost 45 pounds and kept it off until I became pregnant 3-4 years later! I did it by learning to eat until satisfied. You do not have to finish your plate!!! It is not going to help the starving children across the world. It is going to stick across your butt! Good luck ladies!!! I am due with my second child in 1.5 weeks so i have to put my own ideas into practice again!!! I have 45-50 to lose!!!

happyforest - 990 days ago.
and...you would need an exercise or dance hoop, not a little kid dollar store hula hoop. they are not heavy enough and will not give you a work out

happyforest - 990 days ago.
just wanted to say that for those of you wanting your pre-preg belly back to try hula hooping or belly dancing. im into both and was able to wear my bikini 2 weeks after delivery. it is a hardcore ab workout though, so expect to be sore the first few times!

traciemac - 1024 days ago.
2 babys under 2. My fiance is a personal trainer and post natal specialist and he says you should really lose all your weigh before getting pregnant the second time because it will make it much easier to lose it the second time. but you know if u really want to lose it in the end u will. I gained 50 with my baby too. the last few is the hardest for sure.

traciemac - 1024 days ago.
Hey ladies Just a little suggestion for losing weight. I bought this balance ball combo at walmart that comes with a dvd and rubber band . It's called Gaiam. Anyway it got me in the best shape of my life and i was always pretty little but totally got in shape after even my buns looked nice. I have a 6 month old baby and just last week found out i am pregnant again so all that work and now i'm pregger aagain But anyway if u are struggling try it it's like 30 bucks and pretty fun to do. I love it for alone time!! Good luck!

Bri - 1087 days ago.
I know what you mean. I have a huge sweet tooth. My husband doesn't understand not buying it either. Grr! He thinks I need will power. HAHA! I would rather just not have it in the house and skip over it when at the grocery store.

mommyxs3 - 1087 days ago.
Thanks Bri. I think I just really need to get serious about what I eat. For the most part I do good until I see sweets and such. I was doing great while prego on eating whole grains and stuff but I've kinda lost it. My hours were just cut at work (not a bad thing) so I think I'll start walking on warmer days. I like to walk to it's just a matter of buckling down. You give me hope...thanks. :o)

Bri - 1087 days ago.
mommyxs3 - Any diet will (for most) mess with your supply. I have lost 80lbs since giving birth (16months ago) and still loosing and breastfeeding. How I'm doing it is really simple. I look at what I'm eating. No chips, fast foods and anything with empty calories. Eat good and move more. Take baby for walks once a day. Do sit ups. I do them with a toddler on my tummy (resistance training) as he laughs at me. He thinks it's funny while I'm turning red. HAHA! It's a simple but hard to follow rule...eat less move more. I've heard weight watchers is killer on supply. I wouldn't even risk it. Depending on how long you plan on breastfeeding then maybe you just might wait it out as well. I peaked at 70lbs and thought that I was going to have to wait until I weaned and was fine with it. Now that I've been better about eating and that he's not relying on breastmilk then I've been able to start dropping again. Good Luck! I know it sucks. I want to lose at least 20 more pounds...if not 45 before getting pregnant again this fall. I've lost 8lbs in one month. If I can keep this up then I will be down to 150 in no time.

supermompj - 1087 days ago.
idk if its safe but i am looking into getting back on Weight Watchers after i give birth. i may increase myself a few points because of BF but just the discipline puts you in the right state of mind. i will get back here when i find out if it is safe. becuase it isn't really a DIET so to speak

mommyxs3 - 1087 days ago.
Any suggestions on how to lose weight while BF? I started to count calories and my supply dropped WAY down so I stopped. I delievered at 182, went down to 161 and for whatever reason have gained 10lbs. It's so frustrating. I need to lose 40lbs but 20 would be amazing. Any help would be great!
