mrsgaylonj thanks for making me a feel a little better. How would you say your body shape is if you dont mind me asking? For me I carry most of my weight in my stomach area and that makes me nervous. And I have heard all of these horrible things about the ugly B belly...is your belly round?

mrsgaylonj (Mary) - 644 days ago.
I've been showing since about 17 weeks, but super showing where its unmistakeable at about 20 wks. Now at 34 I look super pregnant even though I'm plus size. Like I said before I think it depends on your shape and proportions. It took me and hubby a while to conceive and I agree, even if I didn't show I would be thrilled, but I can't lie, I'm glad that I started showing early-ish. Going to doc today for an u/s and see doc, can't wait to see my baby boy and see how big he is now!!

jessp27 - 645 days ago.
I cant get over how rude people are. I hope I will have some type of baby belly where it is obvious and not me just looking fat. I am only 11 weeks and I can feel my belly hardening but I am sure it probably just looks like fat to other people. I am normally not a jealous person, but damn these skinny girls for having a baby belly and then being upset about it. I am just going to do my best to emphazie the belly...the one thing I never wanted to do before haha. Stay strong mamas!!!!

missing*my*2angels - 645 days ago.
Good morning ladies i'm a plus size girl a size 24 through 28 depends on the material lmao!! anyways i just wanted to tell you ladies that i'm so happy you guys are pregnant and to enjoy it as much as possible. i've been TTC for a while and i was pregnant last year but lost my baby and i would give anything to be able to be pregnant even if there is no baby bump a baby is in the belly. Don't let no one make you feel bad or let your self esteem for down cause of others comments they are just hating on the fact that you are pregnant and they are not!! trust words hurt alot sometimes but enjoy your baby bump even if others can't tell its there....WOOHOO to big baby bellies!!!!!!!!!! I hope i get one soon!!

candyred72 - 646 days ago.
I am 14w5d! I started at a size 20 and can now wear some of my 16-18 pants with a belly band! I was 250 after my last pregnancy and got down to 190 but then got the depo shot and went up to 240. My SIL who is like a size zero said 'Wow it must be lucky to not have to show your whole pregnancy' when I was pregnant with my last! I cannot tollerate her cause she is always smug like that! I am upset that this is my last pregnancy(I have 5 girls and 1 boy) and I will never have a big bump! Sorry to vent but thanks for listening!!!

deebo - 646 days ago.
Deb- If someone ever said that about me/around me pre-pregnancy or post-pregnancy, I have a feeling I would probably have a large criminal record for assault. Bix- I'm at 26 weeks, and wear a size 18 pant. I started really feeling the baby move about 2 and a half weeks ago. Most of my fat is on my upper half, (I'm the fat chick without a butt hahaha) and I hear you on the not looking pregnant. Because I've got small legs, and all my weight ontop.. I don't look pregnant at all. My stomach just sticks out more now :( No one has ever noticed I'm pregnant. It makes me feel like crap, I'm not gonna lie. I guess it's a silly thing to be upset about, but it does bother me too..

debmomof2 - 646 days ago.
i hear u guys on the people being rude! I had a lady in line at the store look at me and say we better hurry up before this lady gets mad and crushes us! i was like u bitch im 6 months pregnant and i don't care how old u are i would never let my mother or grandmother talk to people the way u just did me .............. i told her to go eat something and make sure her teeth didn't fall out ugh she pissed me off !!! sorry about the curse words i did get a good laugh out of the cashier !!!! and i go to WIC the other day to get my stuff and the lady tells me i have to go to a high risk person through wic because of my weigh i laughed and told her what is she gonna tell me im fat cause clue to u i do own a mirror ! what do these people want from me really i have lost 31 pounds since i got pregnant didn't gain anything at all and still losing weight so get off my ass! K im done ranting lol hugs and belly rubs

bixgirl - 646 days ago.
Hey everyone... I'm a size 18 pre-pregnancy, and now a 22, and I'm almost 23 weeks right now. I have anterior placenta, and so far haven't felt any real kicks. The most I've felt is a ticklish sensation just below my belly button. Did anyone else have to wait this long to feel anything? Does anyone know when I might feel something stronger? Also having body-image problems right now... I don't even look pregnant, just big. I mean, I can feel my baby bump just fine (especially if I lay down on my back), but it's sort of sad that the world at large can't tell that I'm expecting, the way smaller women get to experience. So I'm just trying to stay positive right now... Any tips? Thanks!!!

mrsgaylonj (Mary) - 647 days ago.
I'm 5'10 and a 20/22 prepregnancy, I'm 34 wks now, I started feeling him move from the outside about week 22 and internally at week 18, now I feel him all the time inside and out. Maybe it depends too on your shape, I'm pretty evenly proportioned, also, a placenta in front will definitelt hinder you feeling your baby move. I still haven't gained anything, 3lbs less that prepregnancy, so thankful! I eat a lot of veggies and stay away from a lot of sweets, which can be hard, but worth it to keep me and baby healthy!

Lilith - 648 days ago.
I agree with you, Shirls. People are morons, esp when it comes to bigger pregnant women. My self esteem is gone right now. grrrr Even my kis have better manners

shirls - 648 days ago.
Lilith, I just wanted to say that I understand what you're feeling. I went out to lunch last week with my hubby and one of the girls who worked there asked me if I'm having twins, and I said no. Then she says 'Oh my, you must be due any day now', and I just say no, I have a while left to go. I was just 30 weeks at the time, so I still have like 2+months left to go. It ruined my day. Some people are just idiots, who wouldn't know good manners if their life depended on it. Personally, when I meet another pregnant woman, I at least ask her how far along she is before saying anything else. Especially, if I'm asking whether they're having twins. Which I wouldn't do anyway, unless they volunteer the information. People should never say anything to a pregnant lady other than 'You look great!'

Lilith - 648 days ago.
Hey ladies!! I'm a plus sized woman, pregnant with my 3rd. This pregnancy is rough. I went on the depo shot after my second 6 years ago and was on it for years. It made me gain 30 ibs, which through me over the curve to type 2 diabetes. I don't eat any more than I used to before I became pregnant, but I'm gaining a lot of weight. My legs and feet are so swollen they hurt. I can't reach my feet comfortably. My doc says my son is much bigger than he should be, but then says they could be wrong, and I have a ton of fluid, more than normal woman. Oi. My favorite snack has been ice, I chew ice constantly, lol. I'll go to a fast food place, get my kids an ice cream, and a cup of ice for me. (anyone else craving ice lately??) My biggest issue right now is body image, I've put on 40 ibs with all this edema and fluid. My son is the size my daughter was when she was born. Yesterday someone I haven't seen in ages said, OMG you're pregnant!! I said yeah, then she started babbling at me. THEN her father, an old hick guy says So, you expecting triplets?? I could have died. I am bigger because of the edema and excess amnio fluid, and him being so big. Why can't people have a little more class? Anyway, it's kind of shot my self esteem down again. I started wondering how the hell my SO can be attracted to me, sex is hard because of his knee and my ever growing baby belly. I love larger people, find them way more attractive, but for some reason my form now is appalling to me, with my monster feet and legs. Sorry for the novel, had to whine. All this has taken place after my dad passed away a few weeks ago. I am so stressed....

emma182 - 648 days ago.
is there anyone from the uk in here?

liewerm - 649 days ago.
thanks!! sometimes i think i can feel my skin touch my shirt more (if that makes sense) but when i put my hand on my tummy to feel its already to late. i am almost thinking that because my placenta is in front that i will have to wait a while longer to feel movement from the outside as well.

deebo - 649 days ago.
liewerm - I'm a looot bigger than you and today I felt the baby move through my stomach for the first time (I could feel her moving internally, just not with my hands), I'm at 26 weeks, and am 300lbs/5'9'. So, I'm going to say you'll be able to feel your's soon enough! Especially when he gets bigger :) My problem is my girl stops moving when my fiancé touches my stomach, it's silly, but cute. She'll move the second he takes his hand away though. I feel bad for him, I want him to feel her movin' around in there!

liewerm - 649 days ago.

jessp27 - 651 days ago.
Hi all! I am going into my 11w prego and I am plus size as well. Glad to know there is other people out there and they are having healthy pregnancies. All of these websites make me nervous that something is wrong with me. I eat healthy and exercise I just happen to be overweight (my whole life) this is the first time I actually am uncomfortable in my own skin because I can feel my belly expanding and my jeans are getting tight. Ive been doing a lot of searching for maternity clothes and there is definetly a lot more places online then in the mall. I went to ebay and they have cute clothes at great deals. In the search bar put in 'pick your lot maternity' it will bring you to an ebay store called just plus maternity outlet. I havent bought anything yet because i am waiting until i really cant fit into my clothes, but this stuff looks nice! best of luck to all, feel free to add me or chat at anytime!

deebo - 653 days ago.
....Why did I never think to look at frozen produce?? Ugh, I used to make my fiancé get that stuff all the time before I was pregnant LOL, maaan. I've been so air-headed since pregnant, it's killin' me. My fiancé likes to bug me about it, it's like ughhhh I can't help it! My brain is stuck on auto pilot, half the time I can't even think of what to make for dinner! I can't believe I'm already at 25 weeks. I was a size 18 before pregnancy.. and still am :) So that's good at least! I'm feelin' a bit down lately, mostly because of my looks.. I hate that I always look sloppy 'cause I have no proper shirts to fit me, and since I don't have the cute pregnancy belly NO ONE KNOWS WHY, and probably just assumes I'm some kind of fat slob. My fiance likes to grab my belly now and tell me I have a 'boight' now(that's the best onomatopoeia I have for that word LOL) but says he thinks it's cute and tries to make me feel better, but I dunno.. I guess I'm just worrying for no reason, BUT I CAN'T HELP IT. Hahah.. Why am I still awake, omfg, it's almost 3am. ♥ You ladies rock!!

mrsgaylonj (Mary) - 654 days ago.
Frozen produce is pretty inexpensive. Might be something for you to look into. I'm able to eat 3 balanced meals a day for not too much money, I make sure each meals has veggies in it and for sweets I only allow myself 1/2 cup ice cream at night, other than that I even cut out cake...favorite, but worth it to have a healthy pregnancy. I'm 5'9 and a size 20 before pregnancy, I am just about 33wks and am still 4 lbs less than prepregnancy weight. I feel great actually and my bp has always been normal (128/80) and is even better pregnant (122/60). I injured my pelvis years ago and always wondered how it would effect me being prego, it hurts, that's my main complaint. :( my baby boy is measuring in the 57th percentile right now, so thankful.

SkylaCynthia - 655 days ago.
hi ladies i am also plus size a prego, pre preg size 24 and things r going good so far my first pregnancy was scary i was smaller in a size 20 and still got very sick also had alot of stress this time around things r better and mt b/p is under control and i'm not overeating i would like to have ladies like me to talk to so add me and we can keep in touch

deebo - 656 days ago.
hdy2102 - hehe, thanks!! I'm at 300lbs right now, but I've been at this weight for a very long time (since I was 16). I used to only eat once a day, lol.. Then I got pregnant, and if I don't eat, I get really sick/throw up. I'm doing the small meals thing now, I try to eat healthy, but it's hard where I live as fresh produce is really crummy/expensive during the winter. It's hard being fat and pregnant LOL! At least I don't have strangers offering me advice. *Bun*in*the*Oven* - Ugh the clothes thing! My pants all still fit me, my problem is my shirts don't!! Nothing covers my belly, so I just wear a hoodie over everything, but it's starting to get too warm to hahha. My fiance likes to PUT HIS HANDS ON MY BELLY IF IT'S SHOWING, and lol.. it's like stoppit :( I can't help my stupid shirts don't fit! I'm gonna check out some online stores, at the same time I just kind of feel like with my luck I'll buy some shirts, then the baby will move lower down and I'll need pants, HAHAHA! I have bad luck! I do want a pair of maternity pants, though.. 'cause hey, if they make me look pregnant-er and smoother.. .that's a good thing :)!!

*Bun*in*the*Oven* - 657 days ago.
Deebo: I know exactly what you are saying... I am twenty weeks with my first. I actually havn't gained weight yet, thank goodness. It is kind of annoying because people say oh you have lost weight b/c you can see it in my face but im getting fatter in the stomach. LOL I found that the Motherhood Maternity website has nice clothes online(stores seem to such). I got a pair of capris that have the belly band thingy, and I love them so I got a 2nd pair. They smooth things out and actually make you look more prego not fatter.

QueenCynthiaB - 657 days ago.
