What kind of memorable dreams have you experienced?

Dreams During Pregnancy
Pregnancy is a very emotional time in a woman's life. It is common to experience vivid dreams that are unique and memorable. The vivid dreams are believed to be caused by increased hormone levels during pregnancy. Hormones have been shown to affect emotions and during pregnancy, the levels of estrogen and progesterone is higher than ever. The emotional battles you face during the day can wreck havoc on you during the night and play a part in your dreams, fantasies and fears.

Most women do experience some type of unusual dream during their pregnancy. Occasionally, the dream is upsetting or alarming. Dreams are normal and healthy and can help you to sort out your worries or fears in a healthy way. You might have dreams regarding the health of your baby, sex of the baby, impending birth or other pregnancy related concerns. The most common dreams during pregnancy center around our fears or apprehensions of pregnancy and baby related topics.

When you wake up, can you clearly recall what your dream was about? If so, you should try to find out the emotion that you were experiencing. Were you happy? Sad? Afraid? Grab a pen and a piece of paper and write down what you remember from the dream and how you felt. Try to connect your dream to a feeling that you have in your life. Is there a reason that you might be feeling scared, upset or dissapointed? Listen to what your dreams are telling you and see if they relate to your real-life feelings, worries or concerns.

Many pregnant women dream about losing things or forgetting important things. You might dream about forgetting to feed your baby or leaving him in a store. Some pregnant mothers have dreams that they will not have everything they need when the baby is born. If you have dreams about losing things or forgetting appointments, items or other things, perhaps you feel that you may not be fully prepared to take on the task of motherhood.

Often when pregnant mothers feel that they are "stuck" in their pregnancy or are afradid of being tied down because of the baby, they dream about being enclosed in tight spaces or trapped in a car, tunnel or small room. You might also dream that you are drowning in a pool, a lake or other body of water.

Women that are adjusting to a new diet or are afraid of gaining weight during their pregnancy, frequently have weight-related dreams. Mothers may dream that they are gaining too much weight or "wake up" in their dream feeling too large. You might experience a dream where you are eating the wrong foods or drinking the wrong drinks. Some women that are afraid of losing their appeal or are afraid that they will not be attractive after pregnancy often have dreams about her husband or partner finding a new mate.

Almost all pregnant mothers will have dreams about the new baby and what their family will be like after the baby is born. You might experience life-like dreams of delivering your baby and caring for her. This is simply your body's way of preparing you for the upcoming birth of your child. Dreams about the baby's size, condition or appearance may express anxiety concerning the baby's health at birth. Dreams regarding your baby's inteeligence may be shown through the baby talking or walking at birth. If you have your heart set on a particular sex, you might have dreams regarding the gender of your child.

I have definitely been having a lot of pregnancy nightmares. The type that feel so real, and you're praying you're dreaming but you cant wake up. and then when something finally wakes you up you're in tears and devastated because the dream was so real.

Lmao I am pregnant and always have creepy dreams! Or scary.. I had a dream that I went in for the anatomy ultrasound and everything went great. The tech handed me my pictures, they were in a catalog or magazine book. She said congrats, this is your baby boy! I opened it up with all of my family. There was an old hairy man wearing a speedo and swim cap bent over and legs spread. Each page was sick and in a new pose! He looked like Borat. I was thinking omg I don't like this. I don't want that to be my baby! I felt guilty and my family were all excited saying how cute he is!! Hahahha another dream I had, I went to my friends party wearing no bra just a white sheer blouse. Walking around greeting guests my breats started spraying people. My boyfriend and I went looking around the house for pads or something to collect the milk. We found a dentist room that had teeth bleaching trays.. So we taped the trays to my nipples.. Didn't help at all lol. One more was that i just had a baby girl and really wanted to nurse her but my boobs were clogged. my boyfriend got a pump and was pumping them really fast and snakes started to come out. there was a bunch of green water and snakes swimming in the bottle and finally we got to the milk. when i went to feed the baby she was sitting on the table eating spagetti with my mom and god mother. she had two huge front teeth. i was so pissed! I've also had the bleeding dreams. Those are scary. I keep having dreams that I'm using drugs and fighting.. I don't do that when I'm not pregnant so I have no idea why! I kept a bottle of vodka in my purse and injected me arm with something. Then tried to throw up the vodka and couldn't.. I was looking for a vacuum to suck the drugs from my veins. Pregnant dreams. Even the ones where my BF is cheating on me!! Ugh

today I had the worst dream ever. I was trying to take a shower before i saw my boyfriend and when i climbed in i saw blood running down my leg. I called my mom and told her that i was bleeding but she couldn't understand me. Then a doctor came in and listened for my babies heart beat. She hugged me then said my baby was gone. I woke up all but crying and i kept touching my stomach cause i thought my baby was gone. Horrific dream.

well I had no where else to go thought here would be a good place to drop a thought. So I am almost 30 weeks with my second I never had dreams with my first so this is an interesting concept to me. At 20 weeks I had a dream about my cousins daughter and I knew she was my cousins (cousin is due 10th June) the baby was small and my cousin is having some placenta issues and it is affecting her babies growth a bit, I also dreamed my other cousin was pregnant in the same dream any way passed it off had a laugh any way had two dreams last night one was about my mum having another baby with someone which is interesting and the other I had a baby which was a girl but something was wrong and she grew in an instant and we left her at the hospital as an adult but I walked out of the hospital with 2 children one a girl (assuming its my daughter) and the other a boy but I never got to see their faces it really has me dumb founded. hoping nothing is wrong but it was the weirdest dream ever. Other than these dreams they have always been very violent like I had a dream someone attacked me and my DH woke me up because I was tossing and screaming so I don't mind these other dreams I just wish they would relate to me and not everyone else LOL

Since we found out we are pregnant, I have been having 3 dreams over and over again. 1 - My husband leaves me. 2 - My ex is stalking me 3 - Quintuplets. I get the first 2. The husband dream is about how I worry how the new baby will affect our marriage. The second one is letting go of my past, but I can't figure out the third one. Any suggestions out there? We are only 6W6D and go for our first US tomorrow.

I don't normally dream, if I don I never remember them. Since week 4 I have been having crazy dreams, from angels talking about my baby to labor in the middle of the woods. Last night though, I woke up crying and woke my SO up to hold me. I dreamed that I was at a school of some kind and there were young people all around so it must have been a university. My SO was on the other side of the campus. I was walking there when a gun shot rang out and a person next to me screamed and fell! I bolted for cover trying to get to my SO to see if he was ok. I finally found him in a class room that looked like a high school class room and he and a few other people were sitting there unaware of the shooter. So I sat down and joined the class. Then another person walked in as pulled a gun and everyone got under their desks, I could see the shooter at the teacher desk and then I notice that between the teacher desk where the shooter was and myself there was a little girl in pig tails about 6. A differant person got up and tried to run and got shot in the back. We all stayed still. The shooter was taunting us all, but he didn't see the little girl next to me. The shooter and I made eye contact, then he saw the girl...and I knew he was about to shot her! I stood up to take the shot but my legs collapsed so i crawled back under my desk and reached for the girls hand...he shot her..she screamed. I pulled her to me to hold her and try to stop the bleeding, I thought she was hit in her leg, but the shooter laughed and told me that she was dieing because he shot her in the ribs...I cried and put her down and launched myself at the shooter but woke up before he and I collided. It was so real! I felt like I could smell the gun smoke. I was so shaken up that SO made me a cup of hot tea and rubbed my back..I could only cry for a while, I didn't go back to sleep last night after that. I want the night mares to stop!

im now just over 5 weeks pregnant and last night my dreams were tormenting me, i know they say that if u dream of death it means new life or rebirth type thing, but it was such a horrible night mare and it felt so real, last night i dreamt that my 11 month old son died, and i had to start planning his funeral i had so many emotions in this dream that i actually woke up crying and fell back to sleep crying just to have the same dream again it replayed over and over and over like it was on repeat, everytime i closed my eyes it was there, what happened was that my son was in a foster home and he was sleeping and the foster mom failed to check on him, and then by morning he was dead i got a phone call saying he had died and i had to plan his funeral, then i woke up fell back asleep and had a similar dream cept this time it was my husband who was watching him and it happened the same way as last, then i woke up and w=fell back to sleep then i had another dream with the foster mom again and this time he died from dehydration and mal nutrition and again i had to plan his funeral, but i didnt believe it so i had to go to the foster home and i found him there and he wasnt breathing and i cried so hard, this nightmare kept waking me up it was so horrible, to think of my 11 month old son dieing, even writing this out im crying, but i wonder what the dream means, maybe ill go out and buy a dream book today and find out ...

I had a dream that my chihuahua, who I'm very attatched to (Rosa) was a Fish! I was cleaning her fish bowl in the dream and accidentally flushed her down the bath tub drain. I woke up this morning so upset that she was gone. It was so real in my dream that I believed it and was crying for about 5 minutes until she came into the bathroom. When I saw she was still a dog and still there, I laughed and said 'Öh Rosa! I missed you so much!' lol. It was funny when I realized it was a goofy dream but I was so upset by it. These pregnancy dreams are crazy!

For about two weeks straight I had been having these real bad crazy dreams. I had been hav't ing dreams about my brother and he is deceased. I had been having dreams that the father of my child killed me. Then I started having these sex dreams. I don't know what was going on with me. I didn't and couldn't understand. I haven't had any dreams in a while. Well, I have but they have been about food. LOL. They were crazy too. I was dream that some hog head cheese was chasing me. My weirdest dream was one where I was at the grocery store with my baby boy named nathan. He was very heavy and really small. Almost like carrying around a lead weight. It was so weird. I dont know the gender of my baby and dont really like the name nathan. I guess Ill find out if the dream was telling me something in August.

Mrs.Preggers - 1649 days ago.
I had a dream that i had a baby boy that came really early. He was healthy and SOOOOOOOO CUTE!!!! He was wearing a red body suit and had no other clothes. I was shocked and angry at my husband and my mummy as they didn't make any attempt to buy my baby any other clothes... hehe weird dream....

When we first found out that we were pregnant, but before we had the first scan, I dreamed that I was giving birth to triplets! I mentioned it to my partner and also realised that when I had ever dreamed about being pregnant (which hadn't happened very often really over the years) I had always dreamed of having twins. Well.... at the first scan we found out that we WERE having twins! ....my poor partner had a little freak out and made the girl check the scan over and over again just to make sure that there weren't any more (like in my dream)! We now have 19 month old twin boys! ...Just love those dreams!
