An amazing transformation will be occuring over the next nine months!

Congratulations on your pregnancy! It takes approximately 260 days for your baby to completely form and develop from the date of conception to the date of birth. Your baby will start out as a microscopic zygote and grow into a 7-8 pound (on average) human being! You are carrying a miracle inside of you. While every pregnancy is unique, most women will experience many of the same symptoms, feelings and concerns at some point during their pregnancy. Here you can talk about anything related to pregnancy.

katiemason - You'll be doing several blood tests and u/s throughout the pregnancy. The blood tests show chromosonal defects. They are looking for downs, spinal bifida and others like that. Unfortunately not everything is perfect and I know a lady that came out clear with all the tests and her second daughter does have downs. I think the only really positive test is a amnio but they are invasive and shouldn't be taken lightly. If you come out clear with all your tests I wouldn't worry. You probably are having a healthy baby. I do understand the fear though. My fear is that I have an active 21month old. He's all over the place. I'm constantly having to run after him and jump to get him off of things. He also thinks I'm a jungle gym. I'm trying to teach him to be careful to his little sibling but he doesn't understand. He climbs up onto my tummy and kicks me on accident and whatnot. I worry that he'll break one of the baby's bones or something. Even though I know that the baby is well protected and it is rare to cause damage like that I still worry. Think of it this way. You are doing everything right. If you look at the stats for a healthy young women then you don't have anythng to fear. Most of the defects are 1 in a 1000 or 1 in 10000 live births depending on the defect. Try to relax and not worry. I know it's hard but like you said you are doing everything right. Just keep it up. At each test you'll get more and more confident. I know I am. I'm just waiting for my level 2 u/s in two weeks.

I am 10 wks preggo with my second child. I am very worried about birth defects and other complications that could happen to the baby, I was like this with my first too. I was wondering what all they can find out before the baby is born with ultrasound and blood tests. I am sure I am just being paranoid. I am doing every thing right, taking vitamins, drinking milk and lots of water. I do on occasion drink soda or coffee but in a small amount and I know that is probably a bad thing.

Bri - 115 days ago.
Char don't worry. You are too early to feel then regularly. Your baby may have turned so s/he is facing inside where you can't feel the kicks or the placenta may be in the way. Another factor is that you are sleeping when baby is active and since kicks are so light at this stage they don't wake you up. You have several more weeks until you have to worry about regular kicks. I'm like you, almost 18 weeks with baby number 2. I started feeling them around 13weeks but I've been so busy with other stuff that I haven't felt anything for a week.

Hi Ashley, I am 9 weeks pregnant now..but when I was 3 weeks ( when I had no clue I am pregnant), I had severe vomitting and diarhea(sorry tmi) and I went to emergency for bladder infection. My urine test for pregnancy came back negative but I continued to have sensitive stomach..Drs were wondering why..a week later, my period did not show up and when tested, HPT became positive. Then my gyn explained to me that all those I experienced are early pregnancy symptoms..so it is possible to feel symptoms way early, that is as soon as the implantation happens..if you have patience, it is better to test the day after ur missed period. you may also use a sensitive HPT 3 days b4 ur missed period..good luck..

Has anyone had pregnancy symptoms so soon ? My LMP was 7/5/09 and for the past week my boobs HURT !! They are heavy and seem to be 'fuller' almost and the veins are noticable now. My boobs have never hurt around the time of my period so im thinking im pregnant, which is VERY possible. Im due for my period on the 6th so i still think its too early to test, but has anyone ever had pregnancy symptoms so soon ?? Its driving me nuts not knowing

Hello My name is angel and I am pregnant for the second time, the first time I had a miscarraige at 4 weeks, that was in 2006...now I am almost 6 weeks and I am a little scared that it might happen again this is my first baby and I really do want it. I am 32 years old and I want to have a baby before I am 40...does anyone have any advice for me?

Bri - 116 days ago.
I was on Orth Novem 7/7/7 back in February 2007 when I got pregnant with my son. I had been on that same pill for 10 years. I never missed a pill and had sex. Never! If I missed for some reason my husband was completely cut off. HAHA! Well, it happened and my doctor said sometimes with a strong sperm and willing egg these things happen. Well, he's now the love of my life but it was scary and shocking when it happened.

little-lil - 116 days ago.
Okay, has anyone got pregnant taking Birth Control Pills before? Okay, I am on the pills but want to get pregnant again, I have a girl already. Do you think is possible??????? My husband doesn't want more, I am just hoping I can get knock up while taking BCP. I need some hope!!!! Anyone???

skjunior - 116 days ago.
newborn - I never leaked before my daughter's birth. But once she was born, I leaked until she was 7 months old..she is 15 months now and I still feed her..don't worry..you will start producing colostrum immediately after the baby is born..

reesypark - 116 days ago.
I am 6 weeks pregnant and I have a 7 month old. Any tips for me and my husband?

nutnut - 117 days ago.
when i was preg with my daughter i didnt really leak unless i leaned into something. like if i leaned over or across the table and squished my nipple or something.

dayshasmom - 117 days ago.
Im nearly 30 weeks and I dont leak. TMI---- But if I squeeze my nipple a little bit will come out. Ive not had to wear pads for leaking with this PG. When I was PG with my DD I poured milk...not sure why Im not this time.

hanakalei - 117 days ago.
Yes i am 25 weeks and tmi i have already had clear stuff come out and dried stuff on me.

newborn305 - 118 days ago.

debbie1 - 118 days ago.
WarriorGal- are you still preggers? Congrats on making it to full term. Wow!!! what an inspirational story. Hope you have a super easy delivery. Missyminx- I hope all is well with you. Remember you are already 24 weeks, you can do it

tiny89 - 118 days ago.
hi i am tracey my due date is 11th jan anyone else due then

corrin - 122 days ago.
i found out i was pregnant 4 days before i was due to start my period...

Bri - 122 days ago.
ChelseaC - The bleeding could be implantation. I didn't get a positive for days after my period was due. A positive will only show if you have enough hcg in your urine. Maybe try again in a few days.

alison33 - 122 days ago.
slh1980~ That was well said :)

mumm2bee - 122 days ago.
i dont know why but when i done a test it only showed up positive when i was 4 weeks pregnant. i did feel pregnant had the same symtoms as you but still my tests were showing negetive. i finally done one last test and it was positive. i am now 6 weeks pregnant and feeling it for definate. maybe try taking one in a week and see what happenes?!... hope this helps, chealseaC xxx

ChelseaC - 122 days ago.
ok guys i need some help, i am really bad about keeping up with the exact day i should start my period...however i know i should be starting very soon.... i feel pregnant and i have taken 2 test both negative. today when i took the 2nd test, as i was finishing taking the test i started to 'spot'.. thinking to myself 'shoot i just started my period, oh well maybe next month' so i put a pantiliner on went on with my day...this is what i dont understand. i have done nothing since then. it was just spotting then and now nothing. that is in no way normal for me. normally when i start, i start no questions asked. my husband and i are not 'trying' but not preventing. we have an 8 month old and are ready for him to have a play mate. does anyone have any ideas of what they think mighy be going on with me? oh and today i had AWFUL lower back pain.... pinching pain...???? sorry this is so long i posted this on ttc too trying to get all the advice i can

slh1980 - 124 days ago.
just--I've never had an abortion, and never intend to. Make sure you get all the facts first. Regular physicians (not abortion drs) will tell you that it is a highly traumatic experience for the mother. Most women I've read from who've had them have regretted it and it has stuck with them for life; they say that those feelings were not explained to them beforehand at the abortion clinic and that it was said to be a simple procedure that didn't really affect the mother (or the 'tissue'...in my opinion, BABY). Anyway, yeah....I'd just advise getting all the details from your regular physician before making a call on it. Hang in there! Children are such an amazing blessing, even if we feel like we can't handle anymore. If you absolutely feel like you can't handle it, then I will always recommend adopting the baby out as opposed to abortion. You will have no regrets, and you will make another family very happy! :) Everyone wins!

juste, i feel everyone have a situation, and if that is teh last resort and so be it. you just have to live w/it
