Hi everyone! I have been suffering from terrible reflux/indigestion for the past 20 weeks or so (i am 35 weeks along). I have tried everything 'tums', 'rennies', 'mylanta', 'gaviscon', and 'zantac' my ob perscibed me...nothing has given me relief! I also avoid everything you are advised to not eat. Even milk and water doesnt relieve my symptoms and alot of the time eating/drinking nothing makes the symptoms worse! Well all, I read in the forum to try eating ALMONDS and CHEWING GUM (mint flavoured) and I am finding great relief, especially from the almonds...Give them a go! I hope this helps someone! :)

Hi Ladies, Is it normal to have your hair fall out during pregnancy? I'm 4 weeks Sat and my hair has been falling out like crazy, from even before I was even pregnant...

confusedmum - 582 days ago.
ok Im new here an desprately need advise, Im 8 weeks 5 days pg, the problem is stupid me had a one night stand, and before anyone judges I have a partner of 9 years we have 4 children, I am absolutely certain that the one im currently pregnant with is from the one night stand my partner knows about the whole thing i told him straight away, he also knows there is a big possibility that this baby is not his, but he told me hed stand by my side, so the big problem is I dont know whether or not to tell, the fella i had the one night stand that im pregnant or just wait it out til the baby is born and get a DNA test done- I did think about all my options abortion adoption and keeping the baby but i just cant abort and adoption i just dont think i could do, so i decided to keep the baby advice would help

Good Morning Mommies to be. I went for my first ultrasound yesterday. It was amazing!! The baby jumped around for a few minutes while they were taking measurements, and then when my fiance was allowed int eh room, the baby decided to cross it`s legs and have a nap, and refused to move!! The tech put my pregnancy between 11w 5d and 12w 4d. Since this is my first pregnancy, I`m not sure what the numbers all mean and if they are good. I have done some research online, but it`s hard to get a direct answer.....so I`m asking all of you experinced women out there. The crown-rump length was 50.4mm (I understand that measurement), the Biparietal Dameter was 17.5mm and the Nauchal Translucency was 1.1mm. Are these good numbers?? Thanks for your help and knowledge!!

I'm sooo excited, they're going to be SO happy!! I can't wait to tell someone! We're telling my mom on Saturday! That's goign to be a tear jerker! (My dad passed away last Sept) Well good luck to all the preg woman out there! :)

McNair, thats around the time the fetal heartbeat can be detected. Until then only the fetal pole and sac can be seen. It's nerve wrecking to wait but makes a lot of sense, being that many drs only scan again @ 20 weeks. They often just rely on doppler to listen for heart @ 10 weeks or better.

oh baby again - 583 days ago.
soontobe... In the pregnancy dictionary, CRAVING: something you have to have and nothing or no one will stop you from getting it. Usually a repetitous desire to eat a particular food. SN: occassionally, we crave the smell of certain things too ;) congrarts!

Soontobetwo0111 - 583 days ago.
Hi, i just wanted to introduce myself. I am sixteen weeks. In the beginning,i didnt really feel anything I did however get heartburn for a week, that's when I knew something was up. So far its been kinda easy, was getting nauseous, got some headaches, now just get gassy, havnt pinpointed the food causes. No real cravings, I dunno.?? What is a craving? Im hungry alot - but not really for anything specific.

mross615 - 583 days ago.
mcnair08....grrrrr it sucks so bad. I have to wait till i am 8 weeks too while i see other women at 6 weeks who have already had one or two ultrasounds. Drs. like to wait till 8 weeks because some doctors feel that you cant clearly see the baby through ultrasound until then. Its stupid i know. cuz i have seen a baby in ultrasound at 6 weeks. I have one more week until i hit my 8 week and i can finally see my little baby

WAM11 - 583 days ago.
Hello Ladies... I have a question. I will be 4 weeks this Saturday (7/17) I tried to make a dr appt. but I don't understand why I have to wait till I'm 8 weeks...

kayandrysmom - 584 days ago.
Amber-def listen to your dr! Stay on bedrest. My friend had a baby around 32-33 weeks and he was in the NICU for 6-7 weeks. You DEF dont want to go through that...33 weeks is to early. Dont do anything to progress...take it easy and wait until you are at least 36-37 weeks!

mross615 - 584 days ago.
ambermiracle, You need to listen to your doctor!! 33 weeks is too early. yes there are children who live at 33 weeks when they are born but premies are very prone to bad things i think its like RH or something like that. also usually their lungs are not developed and they have to go on a ventalater. alot of hospitals wont even let you take your baby home until your due date. Do you really want to wait 7 weeks to take your baby home?? That would be terrible. I know pregnancy is hard especially towards the end. you are anxious to see your little baby and to feel normal again but for your babies sake hang in there. Itll all be worth it in the end. the longer they are in, the better and healthier they are.

ambermiracle - 584 days ago.
Hey ladies. I am 33 weeks and a few days. I am dilated to 1cm!!!! i wanT things To PROGRESS! Doctor says I'm having contractions but Im not feeling them. They want me on bedrest but I want things to progress. I am in so much pain becuase I have 4 teeth that need to be removed and no dentist will do till after I have the baby. He is a Healthy 4 lbs 11 ozs boy but i feel selfish wanting him out but he wants to come out too! Im looking for any advice here. my doc says he has a great chace of nothing being wrong but they still want me to be term. 36 weeks. Should I help things progress or should I stay in bed. If I help what is safe to do! GAHHHH!!!! HELP!!

sbarker - 584 days ago.
Kinda anxious, way bigger than I think I should be at just 8 weeks, with my previous pregnancies I didn't show until much much later, and my symptoms were not as bad, I think I may have twins, can't wait until my doctors appointment so I can relax and prepare for my Feb. due date.

azeeza - 585 days ago.
Hi Jimmyswifey, i am 1o weeks preg, the exact same thing happen to me. i ddidnt feel pregnant or have any symptoms and i got worried, so i went to the doc and asked for an ultrasound to put my mind at ease. the doc was very accommodating and i had an ultrasound an saw that all was well and then only did i feel relieved, if you feel worried or stressed see your doc maybehe/she can help you and give you an ultrasound. All the best!!

Hello. My name is Austin and I am a first time mother I am 19 years old. I just found out today that I am pregnant and want to know what to expect and if someone could give me any advice. From what this site tells me I am entering my second month and I am due March 8th 2011.

charmara - 585 days ago.
ambermiracle- I was dialated 1 cm forever with my first baby. And then when I was far enough along I was stuck at 5 cm and had to get meds to help me along. LOL take it easy and in a few weeks you'll have that beautiful baby!! :)

Question, my husband and I are trying to conceive after a miscarriage March 15th. Last month two days before I started to bleed, I saw one spot of pink blood, then nothing. The next day I saw brownish discharge. The next day I started to bleed which lasted for two days, but didnt have bad cramps. When I saw the pink spot, I started to cramp badly for 10 hours. This exact situation happened when I first found out I was pregnant, without the horrid pain. Did any of you do this and found out you were pregnant?

ambermiracle - 585 days ago.
LADIES! I am 33 weeks pregnant and dialated to 1. Has this happened to anyone? Doc put me on bed rest but says Im probally not going to have the baby this week but after that we cant know! What am I supposed to do!

mross615 - 587 days ago.
Hahaha i cant believe i fell for this!!! So they say if you put a needle on a string and put it above your palm if it swings back and forth you are having a boy and if it swings in a circle its a girl. well duh. this is fake but i tried it. so it swung back and forth right, then all the sudden it started swinging in a circle. unless i am having twins and one is a boy and one is a girl I CALL BS!!!

rosie2010 - 588 days ago.

Hi I am new to this forum and pregnancy thing, so please be gentle with me :). I am on pelvic rest and no heavy lifting or straining. Is it ok to swim?

RosArch - 588 days ago.
This may be a silly question.. but both my bf and I were premature babies.. would that have any effect on my child, and when my child is born?
