An amazing transformation will be occuring over the next nine months!

Congratulations on your pregnancy! It takes approximately 260 days for your baby to completely form and develop from the date of conception to the date of birth. Your baby will start out as a microscopic zygote and grow into a 7-8 pound (on average) human being! You are carrying a miracle inside of you. While every pregnancy is unique, most women will experience many of the same symptoms, feelings and concerns at some point during their pregnancy. Here you can talk about anything related to pregnancy.

i am 38 weeks now and this past friday i had my dr.s appt. when he checked me i was told that i was 1cm and 50% effaced...hurray for progress even if it is small but it is good to know it's moving along quite well. i wonder if i have dialated anymore since then because i have been having some very painful BH's and my next appt. isn't until the 18th because my dr is booked and i can't get my every week appts. like i'm supposed to have. hopefully the baby come before my appt.

can siblings bond when different in age?

manda-may - 75 days ago.
Verysexy... I took a test 15 days after we conceived our twins and only got a very faint result positive. It takes a while for the HCG hormones to build up in your system that tell the test that you are pregnant. Wait a bit longer and try again, or go to the doctors and they might give you a blood test. When I went to the doctors the day after I took the home pregnancy test, my doctor wouldn't confirm or deny that I was pregnant until I had a blood test which took another two days to get the results from! Oh it was agony waiting! Good luck!

For those of you looking for baby names, I found this site to be helpful. Especially if you're looking for something different. http://www.angelfire.com/id2/heathersnamepage/

lindsey1979 - 76 days ago.
verysexy, some tests can detect a lower level of the HCG hormone. i'd go get a blood test or try the other tests in a few days... let the hormone levels build up a little more.

verysexy - 77 days ago.
I used a rite aid brand early result test and it came back with a faint blue line. Since a few days ago i have taken 6 of these tests, and all came back with the same line within 10 minutes. I then tryed ept, clear blue and first response and they all came back negative, and i still am getting the faint blue line on rite aid test. what does this mean?

Mom of 7 - 77 days ago.
I just had a baby on Aug. 25th I was wondering how soon you can conceive after giving birth? I have had 7 kids but the soonest I conceived after giving birth was 3 mths. Any help would be much appreciated.

Just wanted to share with everyone....we have a HEARTBEAT of 169 and was told I am out of the woods today!!! WOO HOO!!!! We are now so happy and excited, we have been waiting for this day for what feels like forever!!!

2ndontheway2010 - 85 days ago.
Hey everyone, my mother sent me this link on kangaroo care and I think it is worth sharing. http://babywhys.wordpress.com/2009/08/20/mothers-last-skin-to-skin-goodbye-saves-her-20oz-baby/

I have a quick question for a friend - she just had an ultrasound and the tech said her baby (21 weeks) has brain fluid in the high end of normal range (a 10 when normal is between 3 and 10)... she is freaking! Did any of you have something similar and what did it mean. They of course told her nothing just to follow up with her doctor (which can take days) and the internet has been useless. Thanks!

Beautiful Bre - 88 days ago.
dottie-they also say that when you get induced with your first baby you could be in labor for hours! to me that doesnt sound like much fun. but i am going to get induced with my second one if it doesnt come before the day i get induced. since i dont know anyone where i live i need a sitter for my toddle, and my husband works graves 30 minutes from here in a coal mine, and since the hospital is a ways away.

yvonneshope - 88 days ago.
Dottie - I would really just talk to your doc about it - in general you don't want to induce at 38 weeks if you don't have to - due dates are really just estimates. Baby knows when he/she is ready to come out - I was induced with my second as we thought she was 8 days overdue as per the u/s and it turned out she when she came out she was still covered in vernix and was about a week early. HOWEVER I cannot even imagine how painful that vein is, so again, I would have a serious talk with the doc. and ask about that, because that could be the main decision maker right there or not at all.

dottie26 - 88 days ago.
hello every1. i wanted to know what do you all think about being induced. i know you can't be induced until your 38 week and i am seriously thinking about that option if my lil man don't come on time. this is my 1st child and it's been an o.k. pregnancy, no throwing up or any kind of sickness, no headaches, i mean i have been perfectly normal. since i am only 5ft i have been experiencing heaviness in my tummy here lately and every since the end of my 5th month i gained a vericose vein on my vagina which hurts like crazy then i just was told by my dr. that the vein is on the inside also. (it hurts!!!) i have to ask my dr. will this prevent me from having a vaginal birth because i am really swollen, but happy that i will soon get to hold my son.

http://www.makemebabies.com/ This is funny, you can combine pics to see what your baby will look like : )

ourlittlehogi - 88 days ago.
A question: i'm pregnant with my second. only three months between pregnancies. i'm almost 24 weeks. had what felt like were contractions last night, stronger than menstrual cramps. they got kind of steady so i was going to time them and then as i moved around to get a watch they stopped. i downed a ton of extra water and haven't had any trouble since. think i was dehydrated? i didn't have trouble with this in my first pregnancy. i haven't had any trouble today either. just hoping it' nothing more serious, don't want to get worried over nothing.

sexi-motorhead - 88 days ago.
Okay so I am driving ppl crazy!!! We have our 12 week appt on Friday and I am freaking out. We were told as long as there is a heartbeat we are out of the woods pretty much for another mc. I have tried to remain calm, but people telling me to quit over reacting is really starting to p*** me off. Not trying to sound mean, but until you experience a mc or are a woman, and go through all of it, you just dont get it. And I have already been put on bed rest due to cramping and bleeding with this pregnancy. Just feeling really overwhelmed and stressed, can anyone relate to this????

Beautiful Bre - 88 days ago.
hi ladies. i lost my mucus plug on sunday and i talked to my nurse and she said not even to come in and be checked or anything. which i think is weird. i will be 36 weeks in a couple days but all well. i have had crampiness and lower back pain. but they say no taking tubs or anything to make sure you dont get infections. so does that mean that you should not be having intercourse with your partner. my nurse never said anything about it so i am just curious.

SaraMae - 89 days ago.
I have had cramping also... this is #3 and I always think i'm going to start my period!!! but like janine said its just your ligaments in you belly stretching! Sometimes its hurts so bad I think somethings wrong but its nothing. also I have a boy and a girl and both heartbeats were in the 160's as well as this babys so... I think the myth is a no go! :)

janinehampton - 90 days ago.
Hey nessy4. I had exactly the same with my first son and panicked like mad but was told it was due to all the ligaments and muscles stretching. Im now having my third baby and am 22 weeks pregnant and getting exactly the same. I keep my fingers crossed for yu xx

nessy4 - 90 days ago.
Hi everyone, im 10 weeks into my first pregnancy and have been experiencing lots of sickness, headaches and tiredness. Today however my tummy feels incredibly heavy and achy. I have had no bleeding or spotting. Could this be a sign of a miscarrige? or is this normal? I have experienced slight cramps throughout the entire pregnancy but scans show everything to be fine. However this feeling is completly different to anything ive felt before. Has anyone else had this?

leanbean 3 - 91 days ago.
Hey everyone, I just had my first dr. appt. yesterday and i'm 8 1/2 weeks. I had an ultrasound but we had a really hard time finding the babe. when we finally did my doc said she thought it looked more like I was about 7 1/2 weeks and we couldn't see the heart beat. she said she wasn't worried and the babe is still so small and to come in and we'll try again in a couple weeks. Has this happenend to anyone else?

2ndontheway2010 - 92 days ago.
Just a ? for all you mom's and moms-to-be out there...has anyone decided on a birth plan yet? Also, is anyone planning on having(or have had) older siblings in the room during delivery? If anyone could give me some tips to prepare my daughter for the birth i'd appreciate it.

2babys-under2 - 92 days ago.
lastbaybee4us-- My sons heartbeat was always in the 160s and my daughters has always been in the 140s

LaStBaYbEe4Us - 92 days ago.
Hi ladies, I have a question I have 3 wonderful lil baby girls, and I'm 9 weeks and 5 days along with baby #4! my husband and I want a lil boy BAD! But we both said if this baby is a boy or girl either way this will be our last child! Sorry I'm going on, back to the question, I was always told that for lil girl the heart beat is over 160, and boys are under 160....this baby was 164 last week, so my question is has anyone had a baby boy with a high heart beat?
