@fizzy I took prenatals ever since the birth of my son and had a m/c. I am taking prenatals plus an extra folic acid now but wondering if I am wasting my money. Thinking B6 might be helpful too. Was wondering if low dose aspirin would be helpful too? I do suffer from varicose veins. Wonder sometimes if my m/c was from my flu shot, guessing I got it 2 weeks before my baby died. Looks like it died at 5 weeks, m/c was at 10 weeks.

fizzy85 - 33 days ago.
i took pre-conception vits b4 got my 1st preg, then i took the folic acid during preg which was sadly ended with m/c. this time i plan to take pregnacare. have bought 2 month stocks despite not falling preg again, lol!

mercedes322 - 34 days ago.
those of you trying to concieve I am taking vitamin B6 because it extends your leutal

weber3 - 37 days ago.
@jaguar Are you using any form of birth control? My dh is kind of up and down with ttc, he's happy as things are and would love if we had another, but doesn't want to try. We don't use any birth control and he will never say no to bd so I chart bbt and try to keep the bd going on my fertile days. Worked well with our second baby, the third ended in m/c, and I'm still using this method. I don't mention having a baby to him.

sparky - 40 days ago.
DH & I have been TTC for 6 years (started at age 37) for my first. I guess my biological clock has other plans for me. We started in January 2006 and have gone thru all types of fertility treatment. Any suggestions to maybe conceive naturally would be appreciated.

JaguarEyes - 40 days ago.
Hi there! Does anyone have suggestions for helping to get DH on board with TTC #2? We were talking all year about my birthday being the start date (12/21) and now he's talking March. I know it's not that long to wait, and there's been drama about this issue that is too long to go into, but we agreed that we'd start trying this spring, latest and I kind of feel like he's trying to push it out and delay. We have a 3 year old, had no problems getting pregnant (1st time) but that was 4 years ago and I am now 38 and worried it might take a while. I also want the age gap to be around 4 years between the kids and not much more if possible. Any suggestions, or should I just keep quiet and wait the 3 months and then start pushing for what HE said would be the start time? Thoughts? Feeling the clock ticking away...Thanks.

fizzy85 - 45 days ago.
@weber-being able to guess more accurately O time is very convenient. emm..i may start charting bbt again. thx for sharing.

weber3 - 46 days ago.
@fizzy I am all over the place taking my temps. I rarely have 3 consecutibve hours of sleep, and sometimes I can't fall back to sleep, it's too early to take it when I wake up, then don't fall back to sleep till 5 or 6 etc., also my room temp. varies, but still I can see a pattern in my temps. I don't do what the book says and add or subtract depending on the time. I chart it like it is and it works pretty good. This round I started taking it in the mouth and vaginally at the same time, just to see the difference and it seems to be more accurate down below. One thing I can't do by charting bbt is tell when I'm gonna O until afterwards. I can only see my patternand know when to bd, but sometimes I do get a dip at O time so I know to bd.

fizzy85 - 47 days ago.
@weber-charting bbt was d 1st thing i did b4, it was fun, i did it for 3 consect. months, we bd evy alternate day (we're desperate, wanted babies so much), in a month, we bd every day after my af...lol! i also used opk, but bbt was more practical, i didnt like having to test for O many2 times. anyway, no pg during those months. we were didnt know why. then a friend advised me to use my cm and also some calculation to identify fertility days b/c my menstrual is regular, i think deduct 12-16 days from the expected date of next AF. it worked, we got pg right away. i guess my waking times change day to day, so probably my bbt wasnt accurate. it sounds like u r very good at charting bbt :)

weber3 - 47 days ago.
@fizzy Are you charting your bbt? That's how I know when to test, even know I'm pregnant before I test. It's really simple to do. I don't do any of the other stuff. Yeah, I have totally wasted so much time soaking all the info I could off the internet, trying to analyze everything and when I relaxed and just let life happen, and whatever will be will be I get my peace back and my AF and it didn't take so long after all. I love charting my bbt. Even could tell this round that though I bd at the right time and did O I wasn't pregnant and that I would get AF so I put on a pad and didn't get caught at work without anything.

fizzy85 - 47 days ago.
if tht dried clots fr ur m/c, it explains why ur hv spot on off after m/c. sorry Weber, i dunno much. very new to me. i was so obsessed with gathering info fr the internet, books, youtube etc before. now, i'm taking things a bit easy. just let it be. been having pg symptons since last wk - sore breast, nausea etc.anyhow, since ttc, abt 6-7 months ago i started getting those symptons b4 my af. is it too early for me to test? i didnt use opk but i think i did O last wk (based on my cm)

weber3 - 48 days ago.
@fizzy It was not heavier than usual, actually a little lighter but it started off like my m/c, (TMI) first brown spotting, then tiny dried clots, then blood, then tissue. and the cramping was similar.

fizzy85 - 48 days ago.
i am wondering too. weber, do u normally get those b4 ur AF? anyway, from my reading, af will be heavier with some cramps if it was another one. but i dont think u shd be concerned. hope ur cycle is smooth sailing after this and get that BFP soon :)

weber3 - 48 days ago.
@fizzy I did have tiredness, mood swings, and nausea to certain smells and coffee. With my 'AF' I got really bad cramping going on and today I passed a little tissue. Wondering if it's leftover from last months's miscarriage or another one? Should I be concerned?

fizzy85 - 49 days ago.
just curious, weber - did u get the pg symptons - nausea, metalic taste, sleepiness etc b4 ur af?

weber3 - 49 days ago.
Got my AF for Christmas day present, hopefullly I'll be back in here soon!! Thought I could have been pregnant this round but then my luteal phase was only 9 days. Hopefully it goes better next time!!

fizzy85 - 53 days ago.
love to hear your success stories ladies. i'm ttc now for my 1st, got pregnant n m/c at w11 on 1 dec. thought i was prepared but i was so anxious tht time. had quite an active lifestyle, fit n healthy. so i didnt know how to handle having my immune system supressed, hence the morning sickness and all. hope i can take it easy next time & to full term, if i ever got preg again. really looking fwd for motherhood.

trinam - 54 days ago.
Hi... Been peeking on this forum for a little while... I'm 38 and expecting my 7th child... We had twins 18 months ago, and it took us 3 1/2 years with fertility treatments to get them! (and had 2 miscarriages along the way) I guess I just wasn't ovulating anymore... The doctor joked with us when the nurses asked if we needed info on birth control saying, 'if they want anymore, they'll have to come and see me!'... Well surprise, surprise! I was nursing my twins, only had 2 cylces, and they were all over the board... I thought this is it, I'm perimenopausal, but I should check, 'just incase'... And sure as heck, it was positive before I was even done peeing! Sometimes I think God has more faith in me than I do him! Boy is being pregnant when you're older a whole heck of a lot different then in your 20's!!

turtlefur - 54 days ago.
just popping from week 28...havent been on since early in the first trimester...how is everyone? So glad to have made it to the 3rd trimester...roll on March due date!!!

azsmika - 65 days ago.
number4at41-thank you for your message. i'm not looking forward to having periods so off...lol..but i really hope i could have another baby so my son can have a sibling. as far as ovulation goes..im one of those who feels pain every month usually when i ovulate..it sucks..but at least i know for sure when it happens.

number4at41 - 67 days ago.
azsmika My period was all over the show as soon as i turned 39 it would be i week early then 1 week late.. the doctor told me that as you get older sometimes it just happens. i went for tests and i def wasnt going throu pre meopause... It just made it alittle more dificult for me to fall pregnant because I never knew when i was ovulating..

azsmika - 67 days ago.
Hi ladies-my period was 1 week early this month. this has never happened to me before as my usual cycle is between 25-28 days. I am turning 40 yrs this month and have a 21 month old toddler. Has any of you experienced this before? Could this be implantation bleeding or is this a pre-menopause thing? I did not have implantation bleeding with my first one. Please let me know what you think!

fizzy85 - 67 days ago.
@weber - yeah, whatever works. we just want the BFP.

weber3 - 67 days ago.
@fizzy what I like about charting is you can see what's really going on. Like am I just missing the day, is luteal phase too short, or maybe I didn't ovulate this month, even if we ovulate late due to stress, our body acts like it o'd on time but if we chart we can see that it really didn't happen and keep trying so we don't miss it. WHATEVER WORKS EH? We just want a BFP!!

fizzy85 - 68 days ago.
@number4-i guess thts vy true.i was so stressed up b4 i got pregnant. hv all every thgs-charting bbt, using ovulation kit, got blood test despite my gp advice tht i'm fit to conceive (my AF is pretty regular). whenevr my AF came, my hubby wd blame me (all sort of things such as being too active, too stressful, thinking too much etc). he's so insensitive n i felt so alone. then, we just avoid talking abt ttc. i did nothing, no more chartng bbt, no ovulation kit. but i did ensure we bd when i'm fertile (cm is d best clue for me).he was shocked whn i got bfp in sept lol!
